43. After reading a certain work, you must have gained a lot of valuable insights that are worth sharing. It's time to set aside some time to write a book review. But how can you write a good book review?
44. During the holiday, I read the book "Be a Teacher Without Complaints," which deeply moved me. Teachers have always been considered the most glorious profession under heaven. However, with the development of the times, parents' requirements for teachers are also increasing, which unconsciously brings pressure to us teachers. This book elaborates on the eight aspects of not complaining: not complaining about oneself, developing one's potential; not complaining about work, gaining the joy of work; not complaining about others, winning their respect; not complaining about family, obtaining family happiness; not complaining about pressure, gaining the momentum for progress; not complaining about the environment, the secret to not losing in life; not complaining about setbacks, paving the way for the future; not complaining about the present, living in a happy atmosphere. There are also many touching short stories and classic quotes from celebrities, which not only spur and warn me but also give me a spiritual baptism and a purification of the soul, making me have to re-examine my profession and the correct attitude towards life.
45. Complaining does not bring any joy and will not add color to our lives and work; instead, it tends to accumulate our negative emotions, leading to even more unhappiness. Education is a form of wisdom, and teachers must possess the wisdom of nurturing. In our educational work, if we abandon the idea of making every student "brilliant" and instead follow nature, wouldn't there be more smiles on the children's faces? Just like some teachers, even if a student scores 96 points, it's not enough; it seems that only a perfect score of 100 can be considered excellent. We teachers are never satisfied with the children's achievements. For instance, if a student is slightly distracted in class and is caught by the teacher, they are immediately criticized; if they have a minor disagreement with a classmate after class, it is considered fighting. In reality, when we calm down and think carefully, in a 40-minute class, can anyone guarantee that there won't be any minor movements? As long as the students correct their behavior, that's all that matters. "Many times, the minor frictions between students are not that serious." This is just like the growth of all things in nature; in the process of friction, one learns the art of getting along with others. Therefore, we teachers let students learn to survive and grow through friction, which is a natural selection process, and during this process, we teachers do not need to take over.
46. We often complain as well: How come the children today are so disobedient? Why are they so restless? Why are they so hard to teach? Why do they show so little interest in learning? Why don't the parents take any action? This is a common complaint among teachers, which also indirectly expresses expectations for the students. However, no one in the world is perfect, and no one can be completely satisfied with themselves. As the saying goes, "Do not do to others what you would not have them do to you." Teachers are not only to impart knowledge to students but also to teach them the principles of being a person. Perhaps some students do not perform well academically, but they always have their shining points. We should be good at discovering and挖掘 them. For example, if a student loves to work hard, let him or her take on the position of labor committee member, fully mobilize their enthusiasm, and cultivate their potential for organizing labor. If some students have special talents in music, physical education, or arts, give them opportunities to showcase their talents, etc. We believe that any student under the education of love will have something to gain and grow healthily.
47. Perhaps we feel a lot of discomfort, dissatisfaction, and unpleasantness in our work, and the objective conditions make us feel weary and pessimistic. However, I want to say that humans are not omnipotent, and the seven emotions and six desires influence us. Teachers should not constantly complain. I believe that we should put more effort into teaching our students and understanding them. We should feel the other kind of wealth life brings us. If we do so with dedication, we can impart a lot of things to our students, not just knowledge! More importantly, it's a lifestyle. You will find increasing happiness! Not being overjoyed by material things, not being despondent by personal setbacks, constantly being aware of maintaining a state of sustained happiness, becoming a sunny teacher, a non-complaining teacher, being able to pick up and put down things easily, life will become simple yet fulfilling.
48. Each student has different needs at different stages of growth. When they are naive and ignorant, they need to be guided and taught. As they grow older, they should be given more freedom. When they become fully independent, they still need to be encouraged and motivated. Love is not about using only one method throughout, love is about levels. As long as we are good at guiding and flexibly applying various educational methods, we can tailor our approach and perhaps nurture a genius right under our hands. We should put more effort into teaching our students, understanding them, and feeling the other wealth life brings to us.
49. As Professor Yu Dan said, "Teachers are not only to impart knowledge and solve doubts, but should also accompany and support the students' lives." As teachers ourselves, we should let our souls constantly bask in the warm sunshine, treat every moment of interaction with each student as a life's destiny, regard daily teaching as a unique experience in the journey of life, turn problems into lessons, convert blame into responsibility, transform complaints into cooperation, make the dark corners into highlights, and make every class, every activity, and every educational detail of our interaction with students a confluence with life and a fusion with happiness.
50. If the heart is there, the dream is there. Life needs dreams, and with dreams comes passion. Believe that those of us who can unite happiness, tolerance, and dreams in one will surely create a colorful and delicious educational life!
51. "Complaining can lead us into a negative attitude towards life and work, often finding flaws in others, including the closest people." Indeed, for example, during my time as a class teacher, I often complained about not being able to complete tasks and the heavy workload, blaming fate and others. I also frequently took out my bad mood on others. I remember one day when I was in the third year of junior high school, just before the college entrance examination, the school suddenly assigned an important task. While I was busy, a student reported that two boys were fighting, one of whom fell and scraped his hand, but both continued to argue. Long-term stress and fatigue, without proper rest, and with an already uncomfortable body, this incident pushed me over the edge. I lost control and without considering the reasons, I scolded the two students severely. After that, the two boys showed a lack of enthusiasm in their studies, and I regretted it later. During the critical time of the college entrance examination, the students' mental state is very important, and my irrational behavior could have potentially affected their grades.
52. In the past, when faced with setbacks or criticism in everyday work, the first thought that came to mind was that the current situation was caused by others' mistakes, rather than first looking for the root cause within oneself. The profound truth that makes one suddenly realize after reading this book is why some people are not happy, and why some people feel that everyone else is wronging them. This is because they are complaining! They are blaming others for the dissatisfaction and minor setbacks in life, and they are selfishly thinking and hoping that others will take responsibility for their lives! As they say, whether one is unhappy or happy, a day goes by. Why not enjoy each day to the fullest?
53. By carefully reading this book "The Teacher Who Never Complains," I have gained a lot and realized the connotation of "not complaining." This year, I took over teaching two classes of ninth graders. Although the students had a weak foundation, poor study habits, and were far behind other classes in terms of academic performance, I paid close attention to conveying a lot of positive emotions to the students and almost daily, I encouraged and praised them through text messages. In daily life, even when I saw the students' problems, I tried to deal with them positively and treated the students with kindness and sincerity. Later, to my great surprise, I found that the students really liked me, and they were all actively correcting their bad habits, being serious in class, and the quality of their homework was continuously improving. The mid-term exam scores showed a significant increase, and the parents were raving about it. This illustrates the significance of "not complaining" in teaching.
54. "Not complaining" is a good work habit. It first requires us to have this awareness: when facing difficulties, we should not complain, but instead, we should face the reality and improve it, or find the root cause of the problem and deal with it. This is not to avoid difficulties, evade responsibilities, or find various reasons to justify our inappropriate behavior.
55. "Not complaining" is not something that can be acquired overnight; it requires us to cultivate and apply it step by step. As long as we persistently apply the mindset of "not complaining" to every matter that once could have caused us to react negatively, over time, the number of times we solve problems will exceed the number of times we complain. Gradually, we will develop this good habit.
56. Once the mindset of "no complaints" is formed, the entire team will create an atmosphere of synergy, and the performance of the entire team will continuously improve. It is important to deeply understand the significance of "no complaints" and start with oneself.
57. This book can help teachers become teachers who do not complain, teachers who are positive and upward-looking, and teachers who are excellent and efficient. To become such a teacher, one must understand the importance of discovering the beauty in life and the beauty in education; teachers with many years of teaching experience need the nourishment of new ideas, while young teachers need more teaching methods and suggestions; when interacting with students, teachers should be skilled in psychological tactics and should have a sense of fun in life; to become a good teacher, one must undergo necessary cultivation and develop the good habit of continuously updating knowledge; learn from the great educators of education in ancient, modern, and foreign times on how to be a good teacher and gain enlightenment from them; learn to discover educational wisdom from stories and to study psychology through stories.
58. After reading this book repeatedly, I should integrate the educational insights it has given me into my daily teaching life. I should blend the ideas of the wise with education and life. When I can truly transform the essence of this book into my educational experience, it will be a valuable treasure in my teaching career. I will undoubtedly carry on the legacy of both speaking and teaching!
59. Originally, I was a teacher who sought perfection in everything. Whenever I took on a task, I would always do everything in my power to ensure I did it the best I could. This was an advantage, something worth praising. However, it is this very advantage that has recently plunged me into pain and helplessness.
60. This semester, I teach Chinese and serve as the class teacher for the 4th class of fifth grade. The class has a large number of students, with a weak academic foundation and poor behavioral habits. Moreover, rural parents are not very concerned about education and tend to let their children do as they wish. In recent days, the phenomenon of students not doing their homework has become increasingly common, and even criticism and education have had little effect. This is very distressing to me, and I have become restless and irritable, often complaining - why are these children so disobedient? Why can't they sit still? Why are they so difficult to teach? Why are they so uninterested in learning? Why don't their parents take any interest in them... My mind is filled with the students' problems. Amongst my complaints, I often come to class with a frown, unable to find any student pleasing, feeling restless, and making the students' lives even harder. If a student gets distracted in class even a little, once caught by me, they will be severely criticized. The criticism of the distracted student is not a big deal, but sometimes other students may also suffer, either being punished to sit quietly or being punished to copy the text; after class, it should be better, but as soon as I find some minor conflicts among the students, I immediately label them as fighting. Despite their carefulness, they rarely receive my praise. Over time, they have become increasingly negative and defiant. And I, in turn, have become more and more complaining about this group of children.
61. Seeing me so exhausted from work, my colleague's book "The Teacher Who Never Complains" made me understand that there is no child who never makes mistakes; the key is to encourage them not to give up learning and to keep striving. In the face of the children's mistakes, we should not harshly scold them or treat them with coldness; we should definitely not discriminate against students who make mistakes.
63. Put down the books, close the covers, and ponder in silence: In a 40-minute class, even we adults can't guarantee we won't do any small actions. Let alone we are facing...
64. What about two-year-old children? They may not pay attention, fidget, and sometimes it might be because our classes are not that captivating. If we think about it and adjust ourselves in this way, wouldn't we stop blaming the students? Could we not enter the classroom with a smile? By using our smiles to infect them, the students will definitely be happy to engage in their classroom learning. For instance, in many cases, the little frictions among students are not so serious. It's just like the growth of all things in nature; during the process of friction, sometimes one can learn the art of getting along with others. Therefore, as teachers, we can skillfully use these frictions to teach them to be considerate and grow gradually through them. In this process, we need to be patient as their guides and counselors, tolerant of their mistakes, and try to control our emotions, not to be overly surprised or aggressive, and certainly not to suppress them with our position as elders. In this way, problems can be easily resolved, and both teachers and students can be in a good mood. What's not to like about that?
65. Studies show that the needs of children at different stages of growth are not the same. When they are naive and unaware, someone needs to guide and instruct them; as they grow older, they should be given more freedom; and when they become completely independent, they need encouragement and motivation. Therefore, our love for students cannot be implemented with a single method throughout, love should be layered. Only by being good at guiding, using a flexible and diverse range of educational methods, and treating the root of the problem, can genius possibly emerge from our hands! We give students joy and hope, and they become our joy and hope. Are you smiling in the face of your hopes, or are you frowning at them?
66. Thus, in the following days, I began to abandon the idea of making every student "radiant," and instead focused on having more and brighter smiles on my face. In harmony with nature, I put more effort into teaching, feeling and accepting the joys and sorrows, successes and failures of my students. Gradually, I even felt another kind of wealth life had brought me — the respect of my students and their innocent, smiling faces. Moreover, I marvelously discovered that the students became more active, more concerned about the class, and showed greater enthusiasm for learning.
67. Yes, complaining doesn't solve any problems and doesn't bring any sense of achievement to people. On the contrary, it keeps adding up our negative emotions, leading to more unhappiness. Education and teaching is a form of wisdom, and "Be a Complainer-Free Teacher" has made me understand that not complaining under any circumstances is also an indispensable educational wisdom for teachers.
68. "Not to be delighted by material things, not to be sad by oneself," let us maintain a joyful mood and be a teacher full of sunshine. Treat every child with a heart of tolerance, allowing them to grow up happily under our care and protection!
69. Do you want your life to be filled with sunshine? Do you want you and your students to be happier? Then please read the book "Be a Complainer-Free Teacher" as well!
70. This semester, I read the book "Be a Teacher Who Never Complains," and it moved me deeply. I had been complacent about my work due to my dissatisfaction, and angry towards students. Today, this book has made my heart feel lighter. It's like a good medicine that soothes the soul. I will use its theories to practice my life goals and realize my life value on the path of education in the future.
71. As the saying goes, "A good job is not as good as good health, and good health is not as good as a good mood." Indeed, a cheerful and happy mood plays an extremely important role in work and life. If people are always gloomy and unhappy throughout the day, then even if you have good working conditions, a high position, and a large salary, it is all in vain. Because they don't have a good mood to enjoy the joy of work, and naturally, there will be complaints and grievances about the problems that arise in work. Teachers are no exception. If we are not in a good mood, how can we pass on joy to our students, and how can we let students learn happily?
72. Gorky once said, "If work is joyous, then life is a paradise; if work is compulsory, then life is hell." The reason why someone always complains about their work is often not because their job is really that bad, but because they have not approached their work with a good mood and a positive attitude.
73. I had often complained about my job, the full workload every week, and being a class teacher as well, which often left me dizzy and constantly complaining. Even though I had tried my best, I still felt inadequate, always feeling that teaching was not very rewarding. Sometimes, I would bring this negative mood into the classroom, making my work stressful. Now, when I look back on it, I feel a chill run down my spine. How could I have had such thoughts? The moment of realization made me feel at ease, and my work became solid and fulfilling. I no longer felt tired, and the original passion and happiness had returned to my side.
74. It is often heard that colleagues around抱怨: "Such and such a student is really dumb, they can't understand such simple problems." "Parents even say their children are smart enough, but they are actually too dumb." "This batch of students are too dumb, teaching them makes me feel I have no sense of achievement" and so on. These are the common complaints of teachers, which naturally also express expectations for the students. However, no one in the world is perfect, and no one can be completely satisfied with themselves. As the saying goes, "Do not do to others what you would not want done to yourself." Teachers should not only teach students knowledge but also teach them the principles of being a person. Perhaps some students do not perform well academically, but they always have their shining points. We should be good at discovering and挖掘 them. For example, if a student loves hard work, let them be the labor committee member, fully mobilize their enthusiasm, and cultivate their organizational labor skills. If some students have special talents in music, physical education, or arts, provide them with opportunities to showcase their talents, etc. We believe that any student will have something to gain and grow healthily under the education of love.
75. "Water can carry a boat, but it can also capsize it." Pressure is a double-edged sword; it can either bring you to total defeat and annihilation, or give you the courage to rise up and move forward with determination. As a modern teacher, the key is not to complain about the pressure, but to identify it, utilize it, and face one's life with a more composed attitude, thus pursuing higher levels of development in life.
