In the vast universe, there is a group of people who are stable, modest, and confident. They are the characters depicted by Yi Zhongtian, whose wisdom shines like stars, illuminating our lives.

1. 《易经》说:潜龙勿用。

1. The Book of Changes says: "The dragon潜伏 should not be used."

2. 人生应该像一条河,遇低洼之处缓缓漫过,遇障碍之时积攒势能,遇孔穴之时低身流过,到平川之处一泻千里。

2. Life should be like a river, gently flowing over low-lying areas, accumulating potential energy when encountering obstacles, lowering itself to flow through holes, and rushing thousands of miles in flatlands.

3. 凤翱翔于千仞兮,非梧不栖。士伏处于一方兮,非主不依。聊琴书以寄傲兮,只待天时。

3. The phoenix soars amidst the thousand peaks, finding no rest but in the willow. The scholar hides in a corner, finding no comfort but in a patron. I play the guqin and write to express my pride, merely waiting for the right moment.

4. 孙中山说:吾志所向,一往无前,愈挫愈勇,再接再厉。

4. Sun Yat-sen said: "My aspirations are resolute, ever advancing without hesitation, braver with every setback, and more determined with each successive challenge."

5. 人生漫漫,行路难免经坎坷,涉水难免遇波澜,做人难免逢困境,这些都是生命中的“劫”。遇“劫”之时,低眉敛气,坚强求渡。

5. Life is long and winding, walking on the road is bound to encounter hardships, crossing rivers is bound to face waves, and in life, one is bound to encounter difficulties. All these are considered "trials" in life. When encountering a "trial," bow one's head, gather one's strength, and strive to find a way through.

6. 人在屋檐下,不得不低头。让身段柔软,让内心坚韧,弯得下腰,熬得住苦。能屈能伸,能进能退,不要一味硬刚。

6. When under someone's roof, one must bow one's head. Let your body be supple, let your heart be strong, bend your back, endure the bitterness. Be able to bend and to stretch, to advance and to retreat; do not stubbornly persist in resistance.

8. 东汉建安十二年,诸葛亮为刘备制订了争夺天下的战略计划——隆中对。告诉刘备曹操势力已成,“诚不可与之争锋”。要先拿下荆州,攻取益州,然后在“西和诸戎,南抚夷越,外结好孙权,内修政理”。沉得住气,慢慢储存自己的实力,等待时机,才能有胜算。

8. In the twelfth year of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhuge Liang formulated a strategic plan for Liu Bei to seize the world – the Longzhong Strategy. He told Liu Bei that Cao Cao's power had already been established and "it is truly not advisable to compete with him head-on." He suggested that Liu Bei should first conquer Jingzhou, capture Yizhou, and then "reconcile with the various tribes in the west, pacify the barbarians in the south, establish friendly relations with Sun Quan externally, and improve political governance internally." He advised Liu Bei to maintain composure, gradually accumulate his own strength, wait for the right opportunity, and then he would have a chance of winning.

9. 为人处世也一样,弯得下腰,不和改变不了的东西死磕,既是水平,也是修养。

9. The same goes for dealing with people in society: being able to bend one's knees, not stubbornly fighting against things that cannot be changed, is both a skill and a refinement.

10. 理想坚定者,百折不挠。矢志不渝者,永不止步。人生在世,努力前行,实现理想,傲视苍穹。

10. The steadfast idealists, who never give up. The unwavering believers, who never stop moving forward. In life, strive to forge ahead, realize one's ideals, and look down upon the heavens with pride.

11. 董卓占领京城后,飞扬跋扈,屠杀百官,江山社稷岌岌可危。司徒王允本是一个手无缚鸡之力的文官,在董卓的强大威势下,他谦卑恭敬,忍气吞声,夹着尾巴做人,勤勤恳恳做事。不仅保全了自己,还取得了董卓的信任,为后来杀掉董卓奠定了基础。

11. After Dong Zhuo occupied the capital city, he became extremely arrogant, slaughtering many officials, and the country's stability was in serious danger. Wang Yun, the Marquis of Shu, was originally a civil official without the strength to tie a chicken, and under Dong Zhuo's powerful influence, he humbly and respectfully endured his anger and lived in submission, keeping a low profile while diligently performing his duties. Not only did he preserve his own safety, but he also gained Dong Zhuo's trust, laying the foundation for the later assassination of Dong Zhuo.

13. 刘备自从起兵以来,一直在荆棘坎坷中摸爬滚打,迟迟看不到成功的曙光。好不容易得到了徐州,还被吕布算计,再次一无所有。张飞实在不忿,建议刘备和吕布拼命,刘备感叹道:“形势不利于我,只有屈身守分,不可与命争也。”

13. Since Liu Bei had taken up arms, he had been struggling through thorns and difficulties, with no glimmer of success in sight. Hardly had he managed to secure Xuzhou when he was outwitted by Lu Bu, and once again found himself destitute. Zhang Fei was extremely aggrieved and suggested that Liu Bei fight Lu Bu to the death. Liu Bei sighed, "The situation is unfavorable to me; I must humble myself and stick to my post, and not struggle against my fate."

14. 沉住气,弯下腰,终极目标是抬得起头,活出精彩,成全理想。

15. 周瑜在指挥赤壁之战之时,意气风发,慷慨作歌:“丈夫处世兮立功名,立功名兮慰平生。”这里的“立功名”,就是美国心理学家马斯洛说的“自我成全”,是一个人最高层次的需求。

20. 吕布本有万夫不当之勇,可在被赶出长安以后,投袁绍,依张邈,奔袁术,都不长久,原因是他心高气傲,不懂得弯腰低眉,使自己惶惶如丧家之犬。

Lü Bu originally had the bravery that could defy ten thousand men, but after being expelled from Chang'an, he joined Yuan Shao, relied on Zhang Miao, and then fled to Yuan Shu, none of which lasted long. The reason was that he was proud and haughty, not knowing how to bend and kowtow, making himself look like a stray dog without a home.

21. 易中天在《闲话中国人》里讲:一个人要做成一番事业,须有三得,即沉得住气,弯得下腰,抬得起头。

22. Zhuge Liang himself was an extremely patient and composed person. With great talent and a heart for the world, he never readily submitted to any lord. Instead, he carefully observed and sought out a wise ruler who suited him.

23. 真正能做成大事的,都是明白人。不会只凭一腔血勇猛打猛拼,而是审时度势,等待时机,相机而动,一举夺得主动权。

23. Those who can truly accomplish great things are wise individuals. They do not rely solely on their enthusiasm and bravery to fight fiercely; instead, they assess the situation, wait for the right moment, act accordingly, and seize the initiative with one move.

24. 为了抵达梦想的辉煌,风雨、坎坷、荆棘、波澜,一切的一切都算不了什么。所有受的苦,忍的泪,咽的屈,都会变成照亮未来的光。

24. In order to reach the brilliance of dreams, all the hardships, setbacks, thorns, and waves count for nothing. All the sufferings, tears held back, and grievances swallowed will become the light that illuminates the future.

25. 沉得住气,弯得下腰,抬得起头,为理想而战,成就更好的自己。

25. Stay composed, bend down, lift your head up, fight for your ideals, and achieve a better version of yourself.

26. 刘邦在楚汉争霸中,屡战屡败,有时甚至被项羽打得抛妻弃子,狼狈不堪。然而,他不服输,不怕败,在最终的结局面前,胜败不过兵家常事。接受它,反思它,把它作为反败为胜的跳板。坚持了五年后,终于在垓下一战成功,打得项羽彻底失去了本钱,一蹶不振,自刎乌江。

26. Liu Bang, during the Chu-Han Conflict, often faced defeat in battles and sometimes was even defeated so severely by Xiang Yu that he was forced to abandon his wife and child, leading a desperate life. However, he refused to give up, never fearing defeat. In the face of the ultimate outcome, victory or defeat is just a common occurrence in military campaigns. Accept it, reflect on it, and use it as a springboard to turn defeat into victory. After persisting for five years, he finally achieved success in the Battle of Gaixi, completely destroying Xiang Yu's resources, leading to his collapse and eventual suicide by the river of Wujiang.

27. 意思是人在正常生存的时候,身子是柔软的,死了之后身子变得强硬僵直。草木正常生长的时候,是柔顺的,死后是干硬枯槁的。

27. It means that when a person is alive, their body is soft and supple, but after death, their body becomes stiff and rigid. When plants are growing normally, they are tender and pliable, but after death, they become withered and dry.

28. 不怕过程中的低头、屈辱、隐忍、折磨,只要方向正确,希望在前,就有了毅然前进的底气,并最终抬得起头,找到自己的辉煌。

28. Fear not the低头, humiliation, endurance, and suffering in the process, as long as the direction is correct and hope is ahead, one gains the courage to move forward resolutely, and in the end, can raise one's head and find one's own brilliance.

29. 凤凰不能乱投巢,要找到属于自己的那棵梧桐才能栖息。读书人安居一隅,找到适合自己的明主才能投靠。如果人生的时机不到,要沉得住气,待时而动。

29. Phoenixes cannot randomly choose their nests; they must find the wutong tree that belongs to them to settle. A scholar must settle in a corner where he can find a wise ruler who suits him. If the timing of life is not right, one must stay composed, waiting for the right moment to act.

30. 当自己能力还不够的时候,逆风翻盘的机会还没来的时候,要“潜”得下去,沉住气,修炼和精进自己,才会有“飞龙在天”的壮阔。

30. When one's abilities are not yet sufficient and the opportunity for an upset victory in adverse circumstances has not yet arrived, one must be able to "submerge" oneself, keep calm, cultivate and improve oneself, only then can one achieve the grandeur of a "soaring dragon in the sky."

31. 《道德经》说:人之生也柔弱,其死也坚强。草木之生也柔脆,其死也枯槁。

31. The Tao Te Ching says: When people are born, they are weak; when they die, they are strong. When plants are alive, they are tender and fragile; when they die, they become withered and dry.

32. 这个道理,知易行难,三者兼而有之,更是难上加难。因为它需要一个人既能克制情绪,又能忍受屈辱,还要具备能力。

32. This principle is easy to understand but difficult to put into practice. When all three aspects are present, it becomes even more challenging. This is because it requires a person to be able to control their emotions, endure humiliation, and possess the necessary abilities.

33. 电视剧《康熙王朝》里的周培公,是个一等一的将帅之才,然而他自称“善败将军”。善败,就是善于从一次次的失败中总结经验教训,研究敌人,完善自己,最后一击必杀,战胜敌人。

33. Zhou Peigong, a character in the TV drama "The Kangxi Emperor," is a first-class general and leader of talents, yet he describes himself as the "General who excels in defeat." Being good at defeat means being adept at summarizing experience and lessons from each failure, studying the enemy, improving oneself, and ultimately delivering a decisive blow to defeat the enemy.
