Upon hearing this, the King of Chu was extremely angry and ordered to kill Fan Li's second son first before announcing the general pardon.

His second son committed a crime in the state of Chu and was sentenced to death. He intended to send another son with a thousand taels of gold to Chu to seek help from Master Zhuang. After much thought, he still favored his youngest son. However, the eldest son insisted on going, and Fan Li had no choice but to agree.
