In the vast and complex sea of life, the ship searching for the path of life sets sail with books as its sails, solitude as its anchor, and doing good as its rudder, riding the waves towards the shore of happiness.

1. 读书对人的改变是持续性的，全方位的，深刻的。坚持读书，你会变成一个精神辽阔，智慧通达，气质脱俗的人。

1. Reading brings about a continuous, all-around, and profound change in a person. By persisting in reading, you will become someone with a vast spirit, profound wisdom, and an exceptional temperament.

2. 于是，目犍连用神通把弟弟带到六欲天，那是一个金碧辉煌的极乐世界，正是上天赐予弟弟死后的归宿。

2. Therefore, Mahamaudgalyayana used his divine power to bring his brother to the realm of the six desires, which is a resplendent paradise, the place where the heavens have bestowed as the afterlife destination for his brother after death.

3. 严歌苓曾经在《读书与美丽》中写到：读书这项精神功课，对人潜移默化的感染，使人从世俗的渴望（金钱、物质、外在的美丽等等）中解脱出来，之后便产生了一种存在。

3. Yan Geling once wrote in "Reading and Beauty": Reading, this spiritual task, subtly influences people, enabling them to break free from secular desires (money, material goods, external beauty, etc.), and then giving rise to a sense of existence.

4. 读书多了，容颜自然改变。有时候我们认为，那些读过的书，都随着时间化入虚无，不复记忆。

7. 人间万物，皆系因果。你怀着什么念头，做出什么行为，就会对接到相应的结果。

8. 他在连州落脚，辟荒野，建陋室，一个人修身养性，饮酒赋诗，认真经营自己的小日子。

8. He settled in Lianzhou, cleared the wilderness, built a humble cottage, cultivated his character and修养 in solitude, drank wine and composed poems, and seriously managed his own little life.

9. 俗话说：“人为善，福虽未至，祸已远离；人为恶，祸虽未至，福已远离。”

9. As the saying goes: "When a person does good, although blessings have not yet arrived, misfortunes have already been far away; when a person does evil, although misfortunes have not yet arrived, blessings have already been far away."

16. 多行善，行善如春园之草，不见其长，日有所增，福报也越来越多。

16. Do many good deeds, and do good as the grass in a spring garden, which seems not to grow but increases day by day, and the blessings will accumulate more and more.

17. 怀善念，行善事，替人消灾解难，别人也就记住你的恩情，然后想方法回馈你。

17. Hold good thoughts, do good deeds, help others alleviate disasters and difficulties, and others will also remember your kindness. Then they will think of ways to reciprocate.

18. 行善的人，终会结善果，终将得到厚厚的福气。比如你种下一大片苹果树，可能有几棵树没有结果，但大部分会硕果累累。

18. Those who do good will eventually reap good rewards and will be blessed abundantly. For instance, if you plant a large orchard of apple trees, there may be a few trees that do not bear fruit, but most will yield a bountiful harvest.

19. 然而，弟弟等了又等，始终没有等到哥哥说的福报，又气又恨，后悔不已。目犍连告诉他说；“你布施所造的福报无法计量。如果福德有形的话，整个虚空也盛不下。可惜你的肉眼无法看到，现在我带你到一个地方去看看。”

19. However, the younger brother waited and waited, but he never received the blessings promised by his brother, feeling both angry and resentful, and regretting greatly. Moggallana told him, "The blessings you have generated through your generosity are immeasurable. If virtue had a tangible form, the entire void could not contain it. Unfortunately, your mortal eyes cannot see it. Now, I will take you to a place to see it."

20. 在目犍连的劝说下，弟弟把钱全部施舍给穷人，帮他们渡过生活的难关。

20. Under the persuasion of Moggallana, the younger brother gave all the money to the poor, helping them to overcome the difficulties in life.

21. 多独处，不管生活多残酷，都要不被环保，不被豢养，不被驯服，从容做自己。

21. Prefer solitude, no matter how cruel life is, and remain uncorrupted, untamed, and unruly, freely being oneself.

22. 在独处中倾听内心的声音，静享岁月恬静，山水悠远，人生自是别有一番风味。

22. In solitude, listen to the voice within, enjoy the tranquility of the years, the distant scenery of mountains and rivers, and life naturally has a unique flavor.

23. 正如前面蒋勋所言，会独处的人，是那匹走向旷野的孤独的狼，是那个没有被世俗社会驯服的勇士，是敢于面对真实的自己的人。

23. As previously mentioned by Jiang Xun, a person who can be alone is that lone wolf venturing into the vast wilderness, the warrior who has not been tamed by the secular society, and the one who dares to face the true self.

24. 曾国藩曾说过：“人之气质，由于天生，很难改变，唯读书则可以变其气质。古之精于相法者，并言读书可以变换骨相。”

27. 多读书，腹有诗书气自华，做一个气质高贵的人。

29. 三国时期的吕蒙，原是一个只会冲锋陷阵的大老粗。一次向孙权汇报工作，孙权见他一身粗鄙，有勇无谋，就劝他多读书。

29. During the Three Kingdoms period, Lü Meng, originally was a rough-and-tumble man who could only charge into battle. Once, when he reported to Sun Quan, Sun Quan saw that he was crude in appearance, brave but without strategy, and advised him to read more books.

31. 他写下《陋室铭》：“苔痕上阶绿，草色入帘青。谈笑有鸿儒，往来无白丁。可以调素琴，阅金经。无丝竹之乱耳，无案牍之劳形。”
