——Seeking the freedom of the soul, embracing a happy life.

1. 孙子为什么会娶祖母呢?因为祖母在要死的时候,那个乖孙子刚好两岁,祖母什么都可以放下,一切我都可以放下,都不理,但是我的孙子太小了,我死了谁照顾他呢?临终一念就是这个念头,照顾他的孙子。所以马上就心想事成,马上就投胎在附近,做回一个女身,做回一个女子。怀孕怀了十个月,生下来,比她前生的乖孙子小了三岁。

1. Why did the grandson marry his grandmother? Because when the grandmother was near death, the good-grandson was only two years old. The grandmother could let go of anything, and she could let go of everything and not care, but my grandson was too young; who would take care of him after I die? That thought in the final moment was to take care of his grandson. So immediately, his wish was granted, and he was reborn nearby as a female body, returning to the role of a woman. She carried the baby for ten months and gave birth, and the newborn was three years younger than his previous good-grandson.

2. 七妈:有啊,都不准我上青城山,觉得我会要皈依,太不可思议了。但正是因为皈依了,我才可以跪下,以前都是自高自大的,以为自己啥子都懂。

2. Grandma Seven: Yes, they don't allow me to go to Qingcheng Mountain, thinking that I might want to take refuge, which is too unimaginable. But it's precisely because I have taken refuge that I can kneel down. Before, I was always self-righteous, thinking that I knew everything.

3. 我们为什么总是感叹生活不如意?因为欲望太盛,攀比过多,能力配不上目标。只要能有随遇而安的态度,乐观豁达的精神,不管处于什么样的境遇,你都能快乐起来。

3. Why do we always sigh that life is not satisfactory? It's because our desires are too strong, we compare too much, and our abilities do not match our goals. As long as we can adopt a contentment with life's circumstances and maintain an optimistic and open-minded spirit, we can be happy regardless of the situation we are in.

4. 一只狗,一只流浪的狗,跑了很远的路,很疲劳,想休息一下。刚好看到一个小小的屋子钻进去,一钻进去就很慌、很怕,为什么呢?四面都看见有狗围住它。为什么?这个屋子四面都有玻璃,都有一些镜子,装了玻璃,所以见到自己的影子。狗见到自己的影子,它很怕,很恐惧。恐惧之后,它想吓跑其它的狗,它不知道是自己的影子,所以它做一个很愤怒的相出来。谁知道一看,周围围着其它的狗,都很愤怒的样子看着它,好像吃了它一样。哎呀,它很慌,更加慌了,想着逃跑,跑、跑、跑……因为太慌张了,找不到出去的路。这样跑、跑、跑……一直累到自己死了,倒地为止。

4. A dog, a stray dog, had run a long distance and was very tired, wanting to rest. Just as it saw a small house, it darted in, but felt very scared and anxious upon entering. Why? Because it saw dogs surrounding it on all sides. Why? The house was surrounded by glass, with mirrors installed, so it saw its own shadow. The dog was scared and terrified upon seeing its own shadow. After the fear, it wanted to scare away the other dogs, but it didn't realize that it was its own shadow, so it put on an angry appearance. But when it looked around, it saw other dogs surrounding it, all looking愤怒ly at it as if they had eaten it. Oh my, it got even more scared and thought about running away, running and running... But because it was too panicked, it couldn't find the way out. So it ran and ran, until it was exhausted and finally collapsed to the ground.

5. 也是一样的,我从来没有说过希望她皈依的,是她自己通过体证确定的。

5. Similarly, I have never said that I hope for her to convert; it was she herself who determined it through personal realization.

6. 人心就像万花筒,心不动时,相就是一真法世界。当心一动,相就因我们的妄想、分别、执著而起千变万化,原来的真法世界立刻变成了六道三途。

6. The human heart is like a kaleidoscope. When the heart remains still, the appearances are that of a true Dharma world. But as soon as the heart stirs, the appearances are altered due to our delusions, discriminative thoughts, and attachments, leading to myriad transformations. The original true Dharma world is then instantly transformed into the six realms and three paths.

7. 化解怨恨唯一的办法是用慈悲的心去原谅他们,因为只有善行,才能生活在极乐世界。

7. The only way to dissolve resentment is to forgive them with a compassionate heart, because only good deeds can lead to living in the Pure Land.

8. 七妈:得到呢,也并没有那么我们想象的了不起,得失之间都是很淡然,很平静的。没有得失的希求,生活就很平静,就会很安心,对,就是这个状态!这个你想在外部去找 ,基本上很少,因为几千年来很多传统的修行者给人的外观都过得并不好。

8. Grandma: I've received it, and it's not as impressive as we imagined. There's a calmness and tranquility in gains and losses. Without desires for gains or losses, life is peaceful and feels secure. Yes, that's the state! This state, you won't find much of it externally. Because for thousands of years, many traditional cultivators have not had a good appearance.

9. 人生最好的境界是丰富的安静。安静,是摆脱了外界虚名浮利的诱惑;丰富,是拥有内在的精神世界。

9. The best state of life is a rich tranquility. Tranquility is the liberation from the temptation of external虚名浮利的 fame and wealth; richness is the possession of an inner spiritual world.

10. 七妈:在爱面前,我们都会害怕,都会不相信,这是自然的。上师是给我们无条件爱的那个人,但如何才能相信,如何才能验证,这需要时间和经历,不是人家说什么就是什么的,要有自己的切身体会。

10. Aunty Qi: In the face of love, we all feel afraid and skeptical, which is natural. The teacher is the one who gives us unconditional love, but how can we believe in it, how can we verify it? This requires time and experience. It's not just about what others say; we need to have our own personal experiences.

11. 学会通过对别人的欣赏使身边的人都喜欢与你交往,体验快乐幸福的丰富生活。

11. Learn to make everyone around you like interacting with you by appreciating others, and experience a rich life filled with happiness and joy.

12. 我:哈哈!你已经沉浸到自己的思想里遨游去了。和你谈话太有趣了,启发很大,我要记录下来慢慢领悟。我们读书会里有很多师兄修行,没有你的境界,你的这种方式是我比较认可的。我可以把我们对话整理出来发到我们的读书群里吗??我相信会有很多人受启发。

12. Me: Haha! You've already immersed yourself in your own thoughts, sailing through them. It's so much fun to talk to you, it's very inspiring. I want to write it down and slowly comprehend it. There are many senior practitioners in our reading group who are cultivating, but not at your level. Your way of doing things is one that I quite approve of. Can I organize our conversation and post it in our reading group? I believe many people will be inspired.

13. 心的飘忽,令我们失去了多少个美好的当下。该工作的时候不好好工作;该吃饭的时候不好好吃饭;该睡觉的时候不好好睡觉;该享受的

13. The wandering of the heart has cost us how many beautiful moments. Not working properly when it's time to work; not eating properly when it's time to eat; not sleeping properly when it's time to sleep; not enjoying what we should enjoy.

14. 坐亦禅,行亦禅,一花一世界,一叶一如来,春来花自青,秋至叶飘零,无穷般若心自在,语默动静体自然。

14. Sit in Zen, walk in Zen, a flower is a world, a leaf is a Buddha, flowers turn green with the spring, leaves fall with the autumn, the boundless wisdom mind is at ease, speech and silence, movement and stillness embody nature.

15. 幸福的人能够从一切当中发现爱,当无条件地爱你自己时,幸福将以各种各样的方式来喜悦你;当无条件地爱别人时,想不到的幸福将纷至沓来。

15. Happy people are able to find love in everything; when they love themselves unconditionally, happiness will come to them in various ways with joy; when they love others unconditionally, unexpected happiness will come pouring in.

16. 我:我周围的朋友都很期盼我能皈依,但我总觉得这世上的法门那么多,如果皈依了,就不能再去信奉别的宗教了,但我很贪心,我想每种都试试。再说,我又怎么能保证佛教就是唯一的,最根本的法门呢?

16. Me: My friends around me are all looking forward to my conversion, but I always feel that there are so many teachings in this world. If I were to convert, I wouldn't be able to believe in other religions anymore, but I'm greedy and I want to try each one. Besides, how can I guarantee that Buddhism is the only, most fundamental teaching?

17. 生活,你在乎什么,什么就会伤害到你,越是在乎,伤害越大。如果什么都不在乎了,你就是天底下无敌的人,天底下最快乐的人。

17. Life, what you care about will hurt you; the more you care, the greater the hurt. If you care about nothing, you will be the invincible person on earth, the happiest person in the world.

18. 我听说楚王得到一只神龟,把它用精美的绸缎包裹起来,放在名贵的檀香盒子里,然后供奉在庄严肃穆的太庙上。

18. I heard that the King of Chu obtained a sacred tortoise, wrapped it in exquisite silk, placed it in a valuable sandalwood box, and then offered it in the solemn and dignified Great Ancestral Temple.

19. 愿往后余生,我们每个人都努力去投资自己,一路成长,一路收获。

19. May the rest of our lives be filled with each of us striving to invest in ourselves, growing along the way, and reaping rewards at every step.

20. 每一个人都有一套自己主观的心智系统,它源自于自己过去的经历、经验和记忆,什么样的心智就会形成什么样的信念——“相信什么”。信念决定思想,思想形成感觉和情绪,感觉和情绪反应出我们对外部世界的言谈、态度和行为。

20. Everyone has their own subjective cognitive system, which originates from their past experiences, experiences, and memories. The kind of cognitive system one has determines the kind of beliefs they form – "what they believe." Beliefs determine thoughts, thoughts shape feelings and emotions, and feelings and emotions reflect our speech, attitudes, and behaviors towards the external world.

21. 朋友相处,原则是无所求。真正的友情是纯粹的,不带功利的。帮是情分,不帮是本分,不能用道德去捆绑。

21. In friendship, the principle is to seek nothing. True friendship is pure and not motivated by self-interest. Helping is a matter of affection, and not helping is a matter of duty; it should not be bound by morality.

22. 什么意思呢?现在办喜酒的这些肉,动物,都是他前世的父母、眷属,做了恶业堕落到恶道,因为跟他的缘份比较近,所以才有机会被他买到,买来办酒席,所以六亲锅里煮。猪羊在酒席上面饮酒,他现在做亲戚的人呢,以前都曾经在恶道中间,那个罪业消了,现在来到人道。

22. What does that mean? The meat and animals used for celebrating weddings now are his parents and relatives from his past life. They have fallen into the lower realms due to their evil deeds. Because of their close connection with him, they had the opportunity to be bought by him and used to prepare the banquet. Therefore, the pot of the six relatives is being cooked. The pigs and sheep drinking at the banquet are now his relatives, who used to be in the lower realms. Their sins have been expiated, and now they have come to the human realm.

23. 多讲点笑话,以幽默的态度处事,这样子日子会好过一点。

23. Tell more jokes and deal with things in a humorous manner; this way, life will be a bit easier.

24. 感恩自己,感恩身边的每一个人,感恩生活中所遇到的每一件事,不管是“好人”还是“坏人”,不管是“好事”还是“坏事”。因为只要你肯不断反省、持修,每一个人、每一件事都是很好的法本。

24. Be grateful to yourself, to everyone around you, and to every event you encounter in life, whether they are "good people" or "bad people," whether they are "good things" or "bad things." Because as long as you are willing to continuously reflect and cultivate, every person and every event can be a very good Dharma text.

25. 人生的智慧在于自觉地去限制对外物的需求,过一种简朴的生活,不为物役才能保持精神的自由。

25. The wisdom of life lies in consciously limiting one's desires for external things, leading a simple life, and not being enslaved by material possessions in order to maintain spiritual freedom.

26. 愚者为自己,因此烦恼痛苦。智者为别人,因此幸福快乐。

26. The fool cares for himself, thus leading to烦恼 and suffering. The wise care for others, thus attaining happiness and joy.

27. 活的简单才能活的自由,才有“看云卷云舒,花开花落”的心境。

27. Only by living simply can one live freely, and then one can attain the state of mind that allows one to "watch the clouds roll in and out, and the flowers bloom and wither."

28. 不依止善知识,就不能成就,没有上师就没有佛,一切诸佛都是依止上师而成佛的。

28. Without relying on a good spiritual teacher, it is impossible to attain success. Without a guru, there is no Buddha. All the Buddhas have achieved enlightenment by relying on their teachers.

29. 保持身心的清凉宁静是一种持久的行为,每天必须持之以恒地持修、精进,只有当这种心性成为你生活的习惯以后,才能让自己安住在没有烦恼和痛苦的宁静之中,生活才能真正的自由自在。

29. Maintaining a cool and tranquil mind and body is a lasting behavior. It is necessary to diligently cultivate and improve it every day. Only when this mental state becomes a habit in your life can you settle into a state of tranquility without烦恼 (worry and distress), and true freedom and ease in life can be realized.

30. ④不要炫耀你的车,你离开了,车钥匙就握在别人手里了。

30. ④ Don't show off your car. Once you leave, the car keys will be in someone else's hands.

31. 颜回过得穷困潦倒,那他为什么能这么快乐?因为他的欲望很低,没有非得过上富贵生活的想法,也没有攀比心,嫉妒心,羡慕心。

31. Yan Hui lived in poverty, so why could he be so happy? Because his desires were low, he had no intention of having to live a wealthy life, nor did he have a sense of comparison, jealousy, or envy.

32. 世界上许多人,由于嫉妒,不去从自己所拥有的事物中汲取快乐,却不断地从他人所拥有的事物中汲取痛苦,实在是可悲。

32. It is truly pitiful that many people in the world, driven by jealousy, do not seek happiness from the things they possess but instead constantly draw pain from the things others possess.

33. 七妈:一切贤胜皆以无为法而有差异,说的都是一回事,佛法最究竟。儒释道任意道无一不是佛法。

33. Grandmother: All the excellent and superior things are differentiated by the wuwei (non-action) method, and they are essentially talking about the same thing; Buddhism is the most ultimate. Any path of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism is none other than Buddhism.

34. 福报不是求来的,是修来的。痛苦烦恼不是别人给你的,是你自己找来的。

34. Merit and blessings are not sought for but cultivated. Suffering and烦恼 are not given to you by others; they are self-inflicted.

35. 颜回和庄子的生活环境一点都不好,但他们的精神境界很高,对外物没有苛求,对命运顺其自然,对生活随遇而安,他们可以全身心的去感受世界的美好。

35. Yan Hui and Zhuangzi lived in environments that were far from ideal, but their spiritual realm was very high. They had no excessive demands on external things, accepted their fate naturally, and lived their lives with ease and contentment. They were able to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the world.

36. 佛即是心,心即是佛,有的人不念心,念相。不观心观相。追求形式,执着表相,不信真佛,不拜真佛,不供奉真佛,那你永远也成不了佛。

36. Buddha is the mind, and the mind is the Buddha. Some people do not recite the mind but recite the forms. They do not observe the mind but the forms. They pursue forms, are attached to superficial appearances, and do not believe in the true Buddha, do not worship the true Buddha, and do not venerate the true Buddha. Then, you will never become a Buddha.

37. 我皈依的反应很大,基本上叫惊醒了所有的存在。还是有后悔过,还给师父抗议过,虽然只有两年,但真的是经历千山万水,中途的痛苦眼泪那不是一般的多,但这一切都过去了,雨过天青,除了感激,还是感激。

37. My response to my enlightenment was quite dramatic, basically waking up all the beings. There were moments of regret, and I even protested to my master, although it was only for two years, but it was truly an experience of traversing thousands of mountains and rivers. The pain and tears along the way were not just a few. But all that has passed, and it's like a storm has passed leaving a clear blue sky. All that remains is gratitude, and more gratitude.

38. 修习大乘佛法,不能脱离社会,脱离现实,要在生活,工作、家庭中修,对境练性,对人练心。

38. Practicing Mahayana Buddhism cannot detach oneself from society or reality. It should be practiced in daily life, work, and family, cultivating one's nature in the face of circumstances and refining one's mind in interaction with others.

39. 红尘中的人们都懂得“饥来吃饭,困来即眠”的道理,但是太多的人在人生旅途中本该安歇时,又总是因为有太多的牵挂和无奈,狂心不息不能安住。该吃饭的时候不好好吃饭,百般思索;该睡觉的时候不好好睡觉,千般忧虑。如此,错过眼前,放弃当下,一路奔命,其心不安,其身疲惫。何苦?

39. People in the world of dust and desires all understand the principle of "eat when hungry and sleep when tired," but too many people, during their journey through life, when they should rest, are always unable to settle down due to too many attachments and无奈. When it's time to eat, they don't eat properly, mulling over things; when it's time to sleep, they don't sleep properly, worrying about a thousand things. In this way, they miss what is in front of them, give up the present moment, run for their lives, and their hearts are restless, their bodies weary. Why be so troubled?

40. 七妈:当您不再去思维“什么是正知正念”,就这么坦然洒脱立于天地间,就是正知正念了。

40. Grandma: When you no longer ponder over "what is right understanding and mindfulness," and instead stand with ease and elegance amidst the heavens and the earth, that is right understanding and mindfulness.

41. 我们总觉得成功才会让我们快乐,毕竟成功了,我们就能拥有高级的物质享受,得到别人的赞誉和拥戴,内心有着满满的成就感和价值感,可这些真的是快乐的条件吗?张国荣完全拥有这些条件,但他自杀了。多少政商大亨,明星文豪,也像张国荣一样自杀了。

41. We always think that success will bring us happiness, for after all, success allows us to enjoy advanced material comforts, receive praise and adoration from others, and feel a full sense of achievement and self-worth. But are these really the conditions for happiness? Leslie Cheung had all these conditions, yet he committed suicide. How many business magnates, celebrities, and literary giants have also taken their own lives, just like Leslie Cheung.

42. 我宁愿一个人因为「祈愿一切众生获得快乐」自称佛教徒,而不希望他因吃素、持咒、禅定而自称佛教徒。

42. I would rather a person claim to be a Buddhist by saying "I wish for all sentient beings to be happy," rather than by claiming to be a Buddhist because of being vegetarian, reciting mantras, or practicing meditation.

43. 心若祥和,人生就美好;心若知足,人生就快乐;心若快乐,人生就美满。一切的喜怒哀乐,都源于内心,源于我们心灵的境界。

43. If the heart is peaceful, life is beautiful; if the heart is content, life is joyful; if the heart is joyful, life is fulfilling. All joy, anger, sadness, and delight originate from within, from the realm of our inner spirit.

44. 七妈:一切都是上天注定的,跟着感觉吧,感觉才是潜意识。

44. Auntie Qi: Everything is predetermined by the heavens. Follow your intuition, for it is the subconscious.

45. 你看看,它起了这个贪念,世间财产不肯放手,将来去哪里。最好不要像蛇这样,守住你前世的财产。你再差一点的话,你就去到什么地方呢?饿鬼道、地狱道。你贪这个世间的财产不肯放手,将来阎罗王来抓你,你就逃不掉的,样样都不要贪。

45. Look, it has developed this greedy desire, unwilling to let go of worldly possessions; where will it go in the future? It's best not to be like a snake, holding onto the property from your past life. If you were any worse, where would you end up? The饿鬼道 (hunger鬼 realm), the地狱道 (hell realm). If you cling to worldly possessions and refuse to let go, when the King of Hell comes to capture you, you won't be able to escape. Don't be greedy for anything.

46. 除了你自己的心,哪里有净土呀!心净土净,不要向外找,什么也找不到,心就是土,土就是心。

46. Besides your own heart, where else can there be a pure land? When the mind is pure, there is no need to look outside; nothing can be found. The mind is the soil, and the soil is the mind.

47. 七妈:上师相当于摔跤吧爸爸里的爸爸,是个教练,他告诉我们我们每个人都是佛,真相是什么,但一般我们都不相信。所以需要教练陪伴着让我们认清自己,超越自己。这就是皈依的意义。如果不相信上师,就去皈依,非常盲目,也容易退转。因为脑海中有一千万个草泥马在评判,在比较。所以慢慢来,不着急的哈,该留下来的自然会留下来。

47. Auntie: The teacher is like the father in the movie "Dad, a Wrestler," a coach who tells us that each of us is a Buddha, what the truth is, but generally, we don't believe it. So we need the coach to accompany us to recognize ourselves and transcend ourselves. This is the meaning of taking refuge. If you don't believe in the teacher, taking refuge blindly is very easy to regress. Because there are ten million horses in your mind judging and comparing. So take it easy, don't rush, and what should stay will naturally stay.

48. 所以希望我们千万不要想着改变别人,你绝对不可以改变别人。每一个人都有自己的自由,除非他自己想改变。他不想改变,你怎么做他都不会改变,没用的,你不要硬要他改变。不要说,你是我的儿子,你一定要听我说。没用的,这不是教育儿女的方法,做人父母不会教育儿女就麻烦了,你要改变自己,改变自己和多给些关心,以关心代替指责,批评。这样才是真正的为佛弟子,这样才是真正有智慧。

48. Therefore, we should never think about changing others, you absolutely cannot change others. Everyone has their own freedom, unless they themselves want to change. If they don't want to change, nothing you do will change them, it's useless, don't force them to change. Don't say, "You are my son, you must listen to me." It's useless; this is not the way to educate children. If parents don't know how to educate their children, it's a problem. You should change yourself, change yourself and give more care, replace criticism and scolding with care. That is truly being a follower of the Buddha, and that is truly being wise.

49. 当今,知“道”的人多,行“道”的人少;说“理”的人多,悟“理”的人少。

49. Nowadays, there are many people who know "the Way," but few who act according to it; there are many who speak of "reason," but few who truly understand it.

50. 我们一定要有智慧,要善巧方便地帮助众生,这样我们才容易增长智慧。所以我们要如法修学,无私无我地去帮助众生。如果你家里的人可以度,大家都跟着你学佛,你这个佛化家庭,这样说明你的修行还可以,否则的话,真的有些问题,因为什么?你家里的人是最了解你的,他觉得你学了佛以后,没有什么改变,又没有提升智慧,又没有增长慈悲心,骂起来那么凶,你说他信佛才怪了,学佛学成这样子。

50. We must have wisdom and be skillful in helping sentient beings, as this is the way to easily cultivate wisdom. Therefore, we should study the Dharma according to the proper methods, helping sentient beings without any selfishness or ego. If the people in your family can be enlightened, and everyone follows you to learn Buddhism, then your family becomes a Buddhist family, which indicates that your practice is still good. Otherwise, there really might be some problems, because why? The people in your family know you best. If they think that after you've learned Buddhism, there's been no change, no increase in wisdom, no growth in compassion, and you're still as fierce when you scold, then it's no wonder they would doubt your faith in Buddhism, let alone learn Buddhism in such a manner.

51. 看人是好人,看事是好事,看境是好境,一切都是自己的心。

51. Seeing people as good, seeing things as favorable, and seeing the environment as auspicious, everything is in one's own heart.

52. 七妈:并且这些形式,都是千百年以来,人们的智慧的总结,他告诉你,嗯,采用这种方法,你就更容易定下来,或者更容易见到自己的内心,它是一种方法,一种途径。我们觉得自己生活中有很多很多的事,生活上,工作上,异常烦忙,但我觉得最重大的问题,恰恰是我们能不能掌握我们自己的这颗心,所以我们为了这颗心,是值得去投入一定的时间和精力的。

52. Auntie Seven: And these forms are the summary of people's wisdom over thousands of years. He tells you that, well, by adopting this method, you will find it easier to settle on something or to see your own inner self. It is a method, a path. We feel that there are so many things in our lives, both in terms of daily life and work, that are unusually busy. However, I believe that the most crucial question is whether we can master our own hearts. Therefore, for this heart of ours, it is worthwhile to invest some time and effort.

53. 人生的意义在于留下多少造福人类的东西。留下的东西越多,越受人敬念,意义也就越大。留下的东西可以是直接的,也可以是间接的,而且可大可小。

53. The meaning of life lies in how much benefit one leaves for humanity. The more one leaves behind, the more it is revered and the greater its significance. The things left behind can be direct or indirect, and can range from great to small.

54. 真正的修行是修心,是修正自己,而不是修正别人,放下我执我爱,慈悲一切众生,才是佛法的真谛。

54. True cultivation is the cultivation of the mind, it is the correction of oneself, not the correction of others. Letting go of ego and attachment, and being compassionate to all sentient beings is the true essence of Buddhism.

55. 当一个人的内心清明宁静、无牵无挂、开心自在的时候,其面相才是本有的相貌——佛相。一种极度宁静、安详、自在的相貌。

55. When a person's mind is clear and tranquil, without any attachments, and feels happy and at ease, their facial features reveal their true appearance—the Buddha's features. A look of extreme tranquility, serenity, and ease.

58. 人生有八苦:生,老,病,死,爱别离,怨长久,求不得,放不下。

58. Life has eight sufferings: birth, old age, illness, death, separation from loved ones, long-lasting resentment, unattainable desires, and being unable to let go.

59. 修行不是一朝一夕的事,一定要坚持,尤其是在面临诸多障碍和干扰时,更要坚持。

59. Cultivation is not something that can be achieved overnight; it requires perseverance, especially when faced with numerous obstacles and disturbances.

60. 无条件的快乐,才是真正的快乐。

60. Unconditional happiness is the true happiness.

61. 那个国师不理他,转过头和皇帝讲话去了,那个鱼朝恩很生气,越想越生气,气得整个脸都黑了。

61. The national teacher ignored him and turned around to talk to the emperor instead. Yu Chao'en got increasingly angry, and his whole face turned dark with fury.

62. 道理知识概念是没有任何意义的,要自己心有所动,心有所应。用道理去说服头脑不是佛法。

62. The concept of knowledge based on reason is devoid of meaning; one must be moved and responded to by the heart. Using reason to persuade the mind is not the path of Buddhism.

63. 七妈:能够收服我的只有智慧,只有慈悲,上师是悲智双运,这是我的体验。我无法去说服您,不过您可以给自己机缘,去体证悲智双运。

63. Grandmother: The only thing that can subdue me is wisdom, and only compassion. The teacher embodies both compassion and wisdom, which is my experience. I cannot convince you, but you can give yourself the opportunity to realize the unity of compassion and wisdom.

64. 起见生心,分别执著便有情尘烦恼、扰攘、若以利根勇猛身心直下,修到一念不生之处,即是本来面目。

64. Because of the arising of desire, there is attachment and the dust of affection, confusion, and disturbances. If one has a strong and resolute mind and body, and directly cultivates to the point where not a single thought arises, that is the original face.

65. 个个恋色贪财,尽是失人身之捷径;日日耽酒食肉,无非种地狱之深根。

65. Each and every one is obsessed with lust and greed, all seeking shortcuts to losing one's human nature; every day spent indulging in alcohol and meat, is but sowing the deep roots of hell.

66. 七妈:您要小心,修行的人一般都最固执,以为自己的认知都是对的,听不得任何其他见解

66. Aunty Seven: Be careful, practitioners are generally very stubborn, thinking that their own understanding is always right, and they can't stand any other opinions.

67. 修禅定怎样修呢?你以为天天打坐就可以修禅定了吗?我每一天打坐一个小时,就这样可以修禅定了吗?六祖大师说:外在你不著相,你不执著这个相,这就是禅。内在呢,你的心不动摇,不动心,这就是定。「外不著相名禅,内不动心名定」,这才是真正的禅定功夫。怎么样修定和慧呢?定怎么样修呢?大家明白吗?十二个字,修定和慧,不起心、不动念,这就是修定的方法;不分别、不执著,这是修智慧的方法。

67. How do you practice meditation? Do you think that sitting in meditation every day is enough to practice meditation? If I sit in meditation for an hour every day, is that enough to practice meditation? The Sixth Ancestor said: If you do not attach to external forms, if you do not cling to these forms, that is called Zen. Internally, if your mind does not sway, if it does not fluctuate, that is called concentration. ' externality not attaching to forms is called Zen, and inner stability is called concentration'—this is the true practice of Zen and concentration. How do you cultivate concentration and wisdom? How do you cultivate concentration? Do you understand? Twelve characters, cultivate concentration and wisdom, do not arise thoughts, do not move thoughts, this is the method of cultivating concentration; do not differentiate, do not cling, this is the method of cultivating wisdom.

68. 所以一定要有智慧,任何事情都不会影响我的清净心,任何事情都不会使我难过,任何事情我都不执著。这个世界是相对的世界,但是在这个相对的世界中间,如果我们有智慧的话,我们永远都可以保持绝对的快乐、开心,除非你没智慧。你没智慧就很难说了,任何一件事都可以绑死你,任何一件事情都可以使你在地狱中间。

68. Therefore, it is essential to have wisdom. Nothing will disturb my peaceful mind, nothing will make me sad, and I will not cling to anything. This world is a relative world, but within this relative world, if we have wisdom, we can always maintain absolute happiness and joy, unless we lack wisdom. If you lack wisdom, it's hard to say; any single thing can tie you down, and any single event can throw you into hell.
