In the vast universe, there are countless mysteries. And I, will embark on a journey to explore the pinnacle of life, unveiling the mysterious veil of the "state of no self." In this vast expanse of heaven and earth, everything is in the process of exploration...

1. And what about Liu Bang? He never sought to draw attention to himself, nor did he try to prove anything to anyone. Instead, he attributed all the credit to others. He once said:

2. At night, the quiet and serene, the sky outside the dormitory window, adorned with a tapestry of stars. We squished together on the same bed, counting the stars, singing songs, and recounting our pasts to each other. Occasionally, we daydreamed about who might become the bride of whom in the future, exchanging joyful words about how happiness tastes, making vows of forever together under the starry sky, and embracing tomorrow with the most beautiful expectations. You said, "Let the beauty of friendship fill your youth," and we believed it. But the flowing river of youth scattered us.

3. If I were to stop taking extra classes in my third year of junior high, I would go climbing mountains. Because I want to stand on the summit, feeling the ambitious spirit of Du Fu's "I will rise above the peaks, and all mountains will seem small from my sight." Standing on the peak, looking out towards the horizon. Ah! I have conquered this mountain peak, I have seen the scenery in the distance, and it seems as if the world is within my grasp. I believe that one day, I will stand at the pinnacle of my life, showcasing my splendor to those below.

4. To fully realize oneself, one must let go of one's sense of self-existence.

5. Guided by the principle of imitating nature, Chinese gardeners throughout the dynasties have created numerous beautiful gardens with their diverse landscapes of mountains, rivers, forests, and springs, forming a gardening style that emphasizes scenery based on landscapes. During this process, harmony, artistic charm, and artistic conception are the three more representative basic aesthetic forms. These traditional aesthetic forms will undoubtedly demonstrate their profound influence on the development of modern landscape gardening.

6. Loneliness is often not due to introversion but rather to excellence. People who are too beautiful or too outstanding tend to feel lonely, and the reason is quite apparent because they find it hard to find suitable companions. The sun is lonely, the moon is lonely, but stars are countless.

7. As the ancients said, "When emotions stir within the heart, they are expressed through words; when words are insufficient, they are conveyed through songs; and if songs are not enough, one can't help but dance with hands and feet." This is the root of the origin of all art, which arises from the need for emotional expression and venting. Throughout history, all art works that deeply touch the hearts of people and have a profound impact are the result of the authors' wholehearted investment. They are not only the condensation of sincere and heartfelt emotions, and the fusion of heartfelt thoughts and bitter contemplation, but also the blend of a rugged life and the倾诉 of blood and tears. They enable people to experience artistic enjoyment while also obtaining spiritual purification and elevation, thereby becoming immortal masterpieces that are not accidental.

8. On the evening of coming home after the exam, the night was so peaceful, as if it were deathly still.

9. Joy is a station in life, while suffering is a voyage of life. I know that when you are burdened with heavy heart, the best gift is to offer you a tranquil sky. You may feel lost and then become清醒. When the night falls, you will feel as if there are a pair of warm eyes watching over you. I know that when you wipe away the tears on your cheeks, you will smile brightly. At that moment, I will gently say to you, "Let's go. Look, the osmanthus flowers are in full bloom, and the moonlight is bright." — Wang Guozhen, "I Know"

10. What kind of future is infinitely beautiful? The grass says: "The future is as charming as fire, like flowers."

11. The shout is an eruption of silence; silence is a silent calling. Whether passionate or serene, I pray that as long as it is not mundane, if the distant call calls me, I will walk towards the distance; if the mountains summon me, I will walk towards the mountains. My feet are worn, and so let the setting sun paint the path. My hands are torn, and let the thorny brambles turn into azaleas. There is no road longer than the feet, and no mountain taller than the person—Wang Guozhen, "Mountains Are High, Roads Are Long."

12. Although the youth period should mainly focus on learning, it is also important to gradually develop the habit of analysis and judgment. There are many times when it is more important to raise new questions than to solve existing ones.

13. In front of the bustling examination hall, you were unexpectedly calm, even, your calmness was terrifying, until, until there were 10 minutes, 9 minutes, 8 minutes left before the exam...

14. After working for a whole day and night, the father no longer wanted to argue with me. With a weary body, he heavily lay down on the bed. I stood there in a daze in front of the bed, my eyes glistening with tears, and I was filled with hatred towards my father. After a while, I gradually regained my senses and plunged myself onto the bed.

15. Mr. Qian Zhongshu's lifelong indifference to fame and wealth is a virtue, and Mr. Hugo's one great wish in his life to rename Paris after himself is also not a lack of morality.

16. Having a future goal always fills us with joy and enthusiasm. Just like the grey moths flying towards the flame, willing to become captives of the fierce fire, the fluttering is your ceaseless steps, and the swirling is your ceaseless tassels. Beauty, in the days of deep affection, who can tell what is sweet and what is bitter? All we know is, once determined, we must go without hesitation. If we have to lose, let it be to the pursuit, if we have to marry, let it be to happiness.

17. On my bookshelf, there are many books, including "Ten Thousand Whys," "Chinese Proverbs Stories," "Chinese and Foreign Mythological Stories," "Andersen's Fairy Tales," "Youth Communication and Eloquence," "Youth Monthly," and some study reference books.

18. If regret is not beautiful in its pain, why does the tragedy of lovers not being able to be together evoke tears?

19. The elegance of appearance is a landscape, and its ultimate expression is "it is me – who else could it be."

20. Thus, four years passed by, and I stepped into the junior high school. Due to my regular physical activities, my ball skills were noticed by the class teacher, and I became one of the top four players in the class. When I learned that the school was holding a spring basketball sports meeting, I was thrilled and excited, finally able to play in a formal match. In everyday life, I trained even harder. On the "battlefield," when I attacked and broke through successfully time and time again, it was not just applause I received, but also a sense of satisfaction and pride in myself.

21. The book possesses a magical power that leads me towards the tranquility of the distant land.

22. I don't know what era it was laid in, but I know that my father used to pass through this road every day to go to school when he was a child.

23. A person who finds the life of simplicity unbearably painful often re-discovers simplicity at the cost of greater pain.

24. The same is true for painting. Among the four famous painters from the Qing Dynasty, the most touching one is Ba Da Shan Ren, who serves as the best example. As a descendant of the Ming Dynasty, the great psychological trauma of the nation's fall and the loss of home greatly stimulated his spirit. Therefore, the unique artistic realm expressed through his paintings must have an extraordinary and extraordinary appeal. In Western painting, Vincent van Gogh is the most typical example. Tortured by illness, with a special character, an extraordinary soul, and superhuman wisdom, his art bursts into an eternal brilliance and radiance. His tragic life and painful life have shaped his artistic characteristics, making him a rare flower that never fades in the history of human art, a marvel that everyone is amazed by. Although these two are rare exceptions in the history of Chinese and Western painting and cannot be compared with ordinary people, all the不朽 works recognized by history are undoubtedly the result of the author's true feelings. Those so-called "masterpieces" with no illness, playing tricks, or even pretending to be crazy are only manifestations of spiritual emptiness and vulgar tastes. They use various publicity or炒作 methods to disguise the essence of their pseudo-art, with the purpose still being to deceive the public and seek material benefits. Although such people are a minority, their power is enough to pollute the artistic environment, poison the academic atmosphere, and the harm cannot be underestimated.

25. The meaning of "度" is versatile, referring to instruments or units for measuring length, height, depth, such as temperature, humidity, longitude, etc.; it describes the extent to which things are achieved, like fame, enthusiasm level, etc.; it also refers to standards that should be adhered to and implemented, such as systems, laws, etc.; it indicates calculation, consideration, and speculation, like guessing, estimating, or disregarding, etc.; it marks the process from one point to another, such as the passage of time; it describes a person's behavior, like demeanor, style, etc. It can be said that in people's daily lives, "度" is closely related everywhere and at all times, such as the success or failure of things, the quality of goods, and the goodness or badness of people, which are all inseparable from the reasonable control of "度". The saying "truth taken one step beyond the forbidden territory becomes error" is not without reason, especially for some serious and precise matters that cannot afford any mistakes. Otherwise, there will be "a little difference but a great loss", which may lead to an irrecoverable situation and cause significant losses. On a large scale, the formulation and implementation of policies, if they are prone to swing from one extreme to another, will inevitably result in major mistakes and severe consequences. On a small scale, such as the control of cooking fire, which affects the deliciousness of dishes; the regulation of room temperature, which concerns human health; the speed of vehicles, which relates to traffic safety... All these should be moderate, which requires a scientific mindset and rich experience.

26. I cannot know what my father was thinking that night, but I know that whenever I stray from the right path, the images from that night always appear in my mind, there is always a voice guiding me, and there is always a sense of consciousness that leads me towards the light.

27. With the spring warmth enveloping the earth and all things reviving, I thought that this nameless little grass had long turned into spring mud. Yet, it emerged with a tender green from the crevices of the stone. The piercing cold wind could destroy its emerald green, but it could not eliminate its life root and destroy it completely. It was, after all, tenacious. It was just such a plain and extremely ordinary little grass with a strong vitality, and I loved its plainness and tenacity.

28. With tens of billions of people on Earth, the subtle changes in facial features alone can result in distinct appearances that allow people to recognize each other. The miraculous work of the Creator is awe-inspiring and also makes artists throughout history and across the world feel inadequate. From this, we can understand that seeking the subtle and the profound is not only a necessary course for artists to improve their observation of nature and experience of life, but also a path in creative practice to pursue "the self"—that is, to have a strong personality, a clear style, and avoid the弊端 of being identical to others. It is also the necessary way to achieve "the absence of self"—that is, to integrate with nature, be natural without any artificiality, and thus enter the spiritual realm of purification and unity of man and heaven. Those who climb to artistic peaks through this path, if they have a sense of religious情怀, can weaken the utilitarian desires that are inevitable in secular life, and thus can be content with material life and always happy, and can be grateful and repay in spiritual and mental aspects. The purification of the soul and the sublimation of the spirit depend on inner cultivation of the source of life (the heart) and are far from the confusion and pursuit of those who claim to cultivate Zen through sitting silently or who take refuge in Buddhism to boast. The authenticity of the two can be identified not only in behavior but also in the works they present to the world. Therefore, it is also understandable that "art reflects the artist" and "writing reflects the inner voice" are indeed laws of nature.

29. Don't lose heart after one failure; behind every successful person there are sorrows. Look, even the sun, so splendid, is sometimes obscured by floating clouds. Your talents will not be buried forever, unless you yourself want to bury your future. You need to learn to wait and arrange for yourself. Success actually doesn't require too much alcohol. If you want to be a hero, it's okay to be a bear first. What's可怕的 is being indifferent to everything. If there is no bridge on the river, you can still wait for it to freeze; if you walk through the long night, it will be dawn. —— Wang Guozhen, "Learn to Wait"

30. The years are so beautiful. Looking back at youth is like savoring a pot of strong wine, with the fragrance lingering in the intestines. I want to say: Youth is invaluable yet so fleeting. If I could strip away the ornaments and return, I would still be willing to follow youth. Because youth is just like that—it allows you to laugh out loud, but also gives you an inexplicable pain.

31. Composure is a mindset, and more importantly, a way of life. I read, and I am at ease.

32. However, life must go on, and the third-year middle school students still need to attend supplementary classes. Let those beautiful illusions forever stay in our hearts!

33. It's been over two months, and there's not much time left until our college entrance examination. But I've finally tasted the real flavor of the third year of senior high school. "Sweetheart, are you tired or hungry? Mom will make you some food." As soon as I get home, I can hear my mother's concerned voice; "You did well on this exam, keep up the good work!" The teacher's praise was generous; "Don't be sad, it's just a small exam, let's all work hard together, and as long as we do well on the college entrance examination, it's fine." My friends reached out to encourage me when I was at my lowest; "You did a great job in class today, make sure to finish your homework during the break, and also asked the teacher some questions!" With my toes lifted, today's reflection was proudly posted on the "Reflection Wall"… After adapting to the life of the third year of senior high school, I enjoyed it, worked hard with my classmates, and reaped the rewards together. The flavor of the third year of senior high school is sweet.

34. The author once "studied" a gigantic and luxurious special collection that was revered as a "national treasure" by the locals, which contained some words that were indecipherable and paintings that were almost like scribbles. It was astonishing that many officials, entrepreneurs, and media figures proudly boasted about it, almost making the author the child who pointed out the truth. The author also witnessed the so-called modern art exhibition, the "Venice Biennale," in person, and the situation was truly not up to par. It was impossible to discern the cultural connotation and artistic value within it.

35. March towards my goals! Friends, give me the motivation! At the same time, I also wish all the younger and older brothers and sisters success in their wishes and progress in their studies! See you after the college entrance examination.

36. If I didn't have to attend extra classes in the third year of junior high school, I would go for an outing to enjoy the spring scenery. Because I want to immerse myself in nature to understand the vibrant vitality depicted in Bai Juyi's poem, "In several places, early orioles compete for warm trees, whose new swallows peck at the spring earth." Walking on the green grass, breathing in the fresh air, I feel an immense sense of joy. Standing on the vast land, I appreciate the beauty of nature and experience the poetic charm of the four seasons. Suddenly, an overwhelming sense of joy floods my heart. Ah, how much I love this colorful and diverse life!

37. In the scorching June, the sun blazes like fire, and the cicadas on the trees are cheering for their lives without ceasing. Meanwhile, the students in the classroom are making full preparations for entering the second battlefield of their lives.

38. Under the trend of bureaucratization and materialization, driven by desires for fame and profit, some so-called modern art, which excludes human reason and ignores human normal consciousness, is becoming increasingly popular, wearing the majestic facade of exploration, innovation, and modern concepts. As a result, it has become an awkward situation where any object can be regarded as art and anyone can become an artist. More than a decade ago, in a prestigious university with a long history, a graduate of the Chinese painting department's department of flower and bird painting even exhibited a so-called installation work: a wooden box with a turtle being pulled by a rope towards a continuously crawling direction, with the inner walls of the box painted with ink washes depicting the sky and stars; another graduate of the oil painting department performed a behavior art in the exhibition hall with a serious air: forcing rotten egg yolks and rope into empty mineral water bottles. Is it not a mockery and negation of human reason to call such irrational and abnormal behaviors as the direction of art development?

39. After the exam, it feels like the burden has been lifted. But there is also a sense of dissatisfaction. After three years of effort, it's just a few pounds of papers that have passed. The past morning runs, the long breaks, the physical training, I've run a total of 203 x 26 = ? miles, and all sorts of exercises, they've just been covered by the 800-meter run and the 25-minute time limit, yet there is still a feeling of不服 in my heart.

40. When others fail to fulfill their promises to us, it makes us angry. What are we angry about? Isn't it because we ourselves have made a mistake in judgment?

41. The life of the third year of junior high school is like a bitter coffee, with a rich bitterness permeating every corner of the third year of junior high.

42. It is because of regret that there is the timeless and exquisite song of Liangzhu transforming into butterflies flying. As we immerse ourselves in the love story of Liangzhu, they are holding hands, appearing sacred and pure under the glow of the sunset. Yet, in the next moment, with the last ray of light fading away, they transform into a pair of fluttering butterflies, flying off in different directions, and we cannot help but shed tears.

43. Treating people with sincerity is not about expecting others to reciprocate with sincerity. If the motive is to gain others' sincerity in exchange for one's own sincerity, that in itself is not sincere enough. Sincerity is clear and transparent; it should not contain any impurities. Indeed, sincerity is also a noble quality.

44. Chinese gardens always leave much room for association and endless aftertastes, embodying the abundant and full state as well as the dynamic and lively characteristics that people yearn for in life, which is the manifestation of the qi and style in aesthetic forms. The typical representative is the Suzhou Garden.

45. Carrying your frail body, you walk out of the dream of Double Ten (a number symbolizing 10 + 10), until you are only 10 meters away from the exam hall... 9 meters... 8 meters...

46. Fate can step out of winter, how can memory forget the severity of the cold? Spring is a season of tears, don't forget to carry an umbrella. - Wang Guozhen

47. "Happy graduation—" What a piercing sound, indeed! We have graduated from junior high school. All the memories, laughter and joy have come to an end at this moment. With a sense of reluctance, I recall my youthful days on campus. May I ask, isn't it true that in youth, who isn't more often spending time with classmates? And I had such a foolish classmate, chubby and mischievous, with a seemingly harmless smile when he laughed. He was always fond of classical Chinese texts, his head swaying back and forth as he recited, "The ancients said, 'Learn and practice what you have learned, is it not joyful?...' At such times, I couldn't help but laugh and cry, rolling my eyes. To be crazy and laugh together, this is the most ordinary thing. But after graduation, many people still reside in your heart, but have disappeared in life. But no matter what, we have all been witnesses to each other's youth, and we have all stepped into each other's lives.

48. Time should still pass by minute by minute, but I feel it slipping away as silently as flowing water.

49. The way of all arts and skills requires gradual deep understanding and the formation of solid and reliable experience through long-term accumulation and refinement, adhering to the law of "practice leads to true knowledge," and only then can one achieve the state of being at ease and mastering the skill with ease. The changes in the art of calligraphy and painting are rich and subtle, often difficult to quantify, and have the characteristic of "easy to understand but hard to express in words." Only through continuous practice and understanding, the analysis and summary of countless failures, finding the reasons for failure and the methods of improvement, can one awaken insight and enhance perception, achieving a proficient level of heart and hand coordination, and then the subtlety of "moderation" naturally emerges.

50. After going to school, I heard the teacher say, "All useful people achieve success through hard study and diligent reading."列宁 once said, "Genius lies in accumulation, and wisdom lies in learning." When the young scientist Newton was resting under an apple tree, an apple fell on his head, prompting him to think and eventually discover the law of gravity. The young scientist Edison also loved reading, and ultimately became an inventor. Therefore, they have become respected great figures of their generation.

51. Life is just an experience, a dream. But we must play our roles well, become the protagonist and director of this dream of life, making this dream colorful, exciting, and unforgettable.

52. Around 4 o'clock, I went out to the bathroom and saw that the door to my father's room was not properly closed, and a thin, faint light was leaking out from inside. I thought my father was watching TV, so I lay in front of the door and listened for a long time, but I didn't hear a single sound. Peering through the door crack, I saw my father lying helplessly on the bed, stupidly staring at the light. Two lines of hot tears spontaneously welled up, and I wanted to cry but couldn't make a sound. That night, my father was unable to sleep.

53. In life, work, and study, everyone is bound to encounter essays at some point. An essay is a literary style composed of text, which is organized through human thought and expressed through language to convey the meaning of a theme. Are you struggling to organize your thoughts when writing an essay?

54. Cicadas sing day after day, and I work hard day after day. The notebooks are filled with a variety of mathematical problems, confusing chemical formulas, and lengthy essays in plain language. Most of them I have long remembered, and I whispered to myself, "My college entrance examination is not a dream," not out of pride, but because I believe I am merely stating a fact that is about to happen.

55. It's not that I am naturally outgoing; in fact, I have many sorrows and many sleepless nights that consume me. Life is never just about brilliance. I simply like to laugh, and I cherish fresh and bright air. I am willing to be like tea, keeping the bitterness in my heart and only emitting its fragrance. — Wang Guozhen, "Monologue"

56. If there were no extra classes for the third year of junior high school, I believe I would gain, I would感悟 (conceive) the true essence of life, and I would learn the philosophical insights of life.

57. "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" is also a book that has had a profound influence on me. When I was young and just finished reading this book, I was initially simply attracted to its intricate and winding plot. But soon after, I was deeply captivated by the heroism and camaraderie of the various heroes within it. Among them, I most admire Zhuge Kongming, "With a fan in one hand and a jade hairpin in the other, he talked and laughed as he watched the sails and oars of the enemy ships turn to ashes." The light fluttering of his fan even brought about a great victory at the Battle of Red Cliffs, creating an unattainable yet wise and elegant demeanor, full of confidence and composure. From then on, the scene of that figure in a white robe, calm and composed, has been deeply imprinted in my heart.

58. Painting is "the brush and ink drawn from things, but born from the heart; it is the image of things, the trace of the heart." However, many who follow the style of predecessors and great masters only imitate their traces, do not study their principles, and do not understand their hearts. Therefore, those who follow Pi Hua only achieve the aura of rugged, ancient, thick, heroic, and rich, but end up with a chaotic and dark mess, while those who learn from Bai Shi only achieve the sentiment of simplicity, openness, honesty, and naturalness, but end up with simplicity, awkwardness, coarseness, and carelessness, fully displaying the弊端 of "Dongshi Xie Yin." It can be known that studying the art of painting cannot stop at the imitation of external forms, but needs to focus on the understanding of the inner spirit. And the improvement of the artistic realm requires that the four aspects of talent, strength, knowledge, and character be balanced and present. Those with high talent can be encountered but not sought, while those with less talent can strive with the spirit of "a foolish bird flies first" and can also "make up for one's shortcomings with diligence" without worrying too much. Strength and knowledge can be obtained through hard work and diligence, but the character is the key to the realm, and it is indispensable to pay attention to self-reflection and hard training. Therefore, one must adhere to the words "quiet and sincere," just as Bai Shi said, "The way of painting is the way of solitude. The person must have a clear and independent mind, not desiring fame and wealth, and can then engage in painting." Artists who can free themselves from the bondage of materialization and officialdom, not follow the trend of impatience, and not be superficial, will never create works of superficiality. By strictly adhering to their duties and not shirking their responsibilities, a pure and noble artistic realm will naturally manifest in their hearts and paintings, and be valued by the world, and not become "like those who thundered and were heard at that time, but never heard of afterward" (Shi Tao's words). As Pan Lao also said, "The further away from desire and desire, the closer to beauty; the more intense the desire for fame, wealth, and power, the further away from beauty." Only those who are sincere and open can reach the highest realm of beauty. That is, the ultimate realm of truth, goodness, and beauty, which we must remember and deeply understand. By Wu Yongliang

59. In another case, although the intention is pure, the concept is mistaken. The person strictly adheres to traditional rules, not daring to step beyond the boundaries of ancient teachings, and therefore, they are prone to focusing solely on the technique of brushwork, rigidly adhering to established patterns, while neglecting emotional expression. As a result, they only show the traces of their brushwork, rarely showcasing their individuality, soul, or artistic realm. This is actually against the essence and purpose of art. It is only hoped that they can engage in self-reflection and change course, correcting their direction, so that they can have a normal and expected development.

60. It is often said that many hands make light work, but sometimes too many people can make things difficult. With a population of over one billion, China has a surplus of people in every industry, and there are tens of thousands of painters alone. Whenever there is a national art exhibition and the selection of works, there are nearly a thousand pieces, which is truly astonishing and can easily overwhelm the judges, leaving them exhausted and unable to make precise and fair judgments. This always brings to mind a funny incident that happened 38 years ago. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the speech at the Yenan Literature and Art Forum, Zhejiang, like all other provinces in the country, held a grand art creation event. Key personnel were selected and concentrated in the provincial capital Hangzhou to create art works meticulously. When the works were completed, they were reviewed at a city center exhibition hall, and the best ones were selected to be sent to Beijing for further evaluation. Although it was the early summer, the weather was hot and muggy. After continuous evaluations, the judges were exhausted. In the hall of the oil painting creation group, I saw the last piece to be evaluated, depicting a commune party secretary speaking at a broadcasting station. In the long silence, one judge suddenly exclaimed, "The chrome plating on this microphone (amplifier) is painted very well with its shiny texture!" The others immediately echoed in agreement, and the painting was considered passed. This naturally leads to thoughts about the selection process of national art exhibitions over the years. An elderly painter who was specially invited to participate in the selection of Chinese paintings for the 11th National Art Exhibition sighed and said that facing hundreds of large-scale paintings, he felt dizzy and was unable to look at them closely or make a proper evaluation. It is easy to imagine that such a selection process might not be precise or fair, raising doubts about the accuracy and reasonableness of the results.

61. A person who can achieve the state of "no self" is a "supreme being," one who has reached the highest level of life. It is precisely because of non-contention that no one in the world can compete with them. Without self, others cannot attack you, mock you, or dislike you. Your own mind and reason will not be controlled by your desires, and you can freely roam the heavens and the earth, enjoying a serene and comfortable life.
