12. Ten people always see others' shortcomings, look down upon others, and like to criticize others, but they do not know how to reflect on themselves. Not seeing one's own shortcomings is the foolishness of all beings. Therefore, in learning Buddhism, one should pay less attention to others' shortcomings and more attention to one's own mistakes. Just as our hearts are like our eyes, we can't recognize ourselves, where is our heart? We can't find it. The same is true for the path of cultivation; we need to withdraw our hearts, and look inward at ourselves.

13. 32那么什么是做人最高的艺术呢？就是不高也不低，不好也不坏，非常平淡，和其光，同其尘，平安地过一生，最为幸福。

13. 32 Then, what is the highest art of being a person? It is neither high nor low, neither good nor bad, extremely plain, blending with its light, mingling with its dust, living a peaceful life, which is the most blissful.

14. 权贵们震怒，把他贬到更为偏远的连州。面对连州荒凉萧瑟的环境，刘禹锡宕笔写诗，气势磅礴，毫无沮丧之感。

14. The nobility were enraged and exiled him to an even more remote place, Lianzhou. Faced with the desolate and melancholic environment of Lianzhou, Liu Yuxi composed poems with a grand and imposing style, showing no trace of despondency.

15. 人生中有各种各样的场景会在我们生活中闪现，欢乐有时，悲伤有时，嘴上的干净能带来内心的清净，多去发现生活中美好的事物，多释怀那些狭小的瞬间，内心自然通透很多。

15. There are all kinds of scenes in life that flash before us, sometimes joyful, sometimes sad. Keeping our mouths clean can bring inner tranquility. Discover more beautiful things in life and let go of those narrow moments, and your inner self will naturally become more transparent.

16. 唐朝诗人刘禹锡，因“二王八司马”事件，被权贵排挤，贬逐永州，前途尽黯。

17. 针不扎到别人手指上，他永远感受不到疼。你椎心泣血的悲苦，别人未必能感同身受。

17. He will never feel the pain if the needle does not prick his own fingers. The sorrow that pierces your heart and causes tears is not necessarily felt by others in the same way.

18. 积极思考造成积极人生，消极思考造成消极人生。

18. Positive thinking leads to a positive life, while negative thinking leads to a negative life.

19. 6世界上任何人，一辈子只做三件事，不是自欺，就是欺人，再不然就是被人欺。你看世界上的人，能不能逃出这三样事？能逃出了这三样的话，就跳出三界外了。

19.6 In the world, anyone will only do three things in their lifetime: either deceive themselves, deceive others, or be deceived by others. Look at the people in the world, can they escape from these three things? If they can escape from these three things, then they have transcended the three realms.

20. 不管遭受再多的不幸、磨难、委屈、伤痛，不要轻易说与人听。因为多说无益，不如积极面对，乐观笑对风雨。

20. No matter how much misfortune, hardship, injustice, or pain one endures, do not easily share it with others. Because talking about it is of little help; it's better to face it positively and smile through the storms.

21. 用酒来麻痹自己的心，用烟来诠释自己的寂寞，用自残来缓解自己的伤痛。

21. Using wine to numb one's heart, using cigarettes to express one's loneliness, and resorting to self-harm to alleviate one's pain.

22. 15光读正面的历史是不够的，还要看小说。所谓历史，常常人名、地名、时间都是真的，内容不太靠得住；而小说，是人名、地点、时间都是假的，但那个故事却往往是真的。

22. Reading only the positive history is not enough; one should also read novels. What is called history often has real names, places, and times, but the content is not very reliable; whereas in novels, the names, places, and times are all fictional, but the story itself is often true.

23. 我们一直沉溺在虚幻的天地里，没有勇气面对真实的人生。

24. 16学问最难是平淡，安于平淡的人，什么事业都可以做。

24. The most difficult aspect of 16 disciplines is modesty; those who are content with modesty can excel in any career.

25. 镜子是我最好的朋友，因为我哭的时候它从来不会笑？

25. The mirror is my best friend because it never laughs when I cry?

26. 19当将军的五个条件：像牛一样的健壮；像狗一样的下贱；像狐狸一样的狡猾；像猴子一样的精明；像魔鬼一样的魅力。

26. The five conditions to be a general: as strong as an ox; as humble as a dog; as cunning as a fox; as clever as a monkey; as charming as a devil.

27. 一开始还有人同情。后来，得到的不过是，揶揄，嘲笑，甚或避之唯恐不及。

30. 20在艰苦中成长成功之人，往往由于心理的阴影，会导致变态的偏差。这种偏差，便是对社会、对人们始终有一种仇视的敌意，不相信任何一个人，更不同情任何一个人。爱钱如命的悭吝，还是心理变态上的次要现象。相反的，有器度、有见识的人，他虽然从艰苦困难中成长，反而更具有同情心和慷慨好义的胸襟怀抱。因为他懂得人生，知道世情的甘苦。

30. Those who grow and succeed in adversity often suffer from psychological shadows, which can lead to distorted deviations. This deviation is characterized by a constant enmity towards society and people, not trusting anyone and not feeling sympathy for anyone. The miserliness that loves money as life is a secondary phenomenon in psychological distortion. On the contrary, people with breadth of mind and insight, although they grow up in hardship and adversity, are反而 more compassionate and generous. This is because they understand life and know the sweetness and bitterness of the world.

31. 记得看过罗永浩的一个谈话，他很巧妙地使用了一个中性词“大局观”！

31. Remember watching a talk by Luo Yonghao, where he cleverly used a neutral term "a sense of the big picture"!

32. “人世间纷纷扰扰，演绎着这世界所有的恩怨情仇。看红尘沧海桑田，一时一事，本无定数。面对着一切，彼此互相原谅与担待，过去了就放下，无需纠缠，从容淡定，犹如云聚云散。”

32. "In the world, amidst the turmoil and commotion, all the grievances and emotional entanglements of this world are played out. Observing the ever-changing world like the dust of the desert and the sea, each moment and event has no fixed number. Facing everything, we forgive and bear with each other, let go of the past without entanglement, live calmly and composedly, just like clouds gathering and dispersing."

33. 有事者，事竟成；破釜沉舟，百二秦关终归楚；苦心人，天不负；卧薪尝胆，三千越甲可吞吴。

33. Those who dare, achieve; by breaking the cauldrons and sinking the boats, the hundred and two passes of Qin finally fell to Chu; those who toil with a sincere heart, are not forsaken by heaven; by lying on the fire and tasting the bitterness, the three thousand troops of Yue could conquer Wu.

34. 现在夫妻两日子过得有声有色，妻子得意地说：最好的夫妻关系来源于要懂得闭嘴，要相信安静的力量，一定会让夫妻关系增色不少！

34. Now, the couple is living their days vibrantly, with the wife proudly saying: The best relationship between a husband and a wife comes from knowing when to shut up, from believing in the power of silence, which is sure to add a lot of luster to their relationship!

35. 如果我们想要更多的玫瑰花，就必须种植更多的玫瑰树。

35. If we want more roses, we must plant more rose bushes.

36. 比如每次吵架，做第一个安静的人，每次达成的愉悦感会贯穿身心灵，日积月累，就会成为你身体力行的习惯，久而久之，夫妻关系渐入佳境。

36. For example, every time there is an argument, be the first one to be quiet. The sense of pleasure achieved each time will permeate your body, mind, and spirit. Accumulated over time, it will become a habit of action for you, and after a long time, the relationship between husband and wife will gradually improve.

37. 等待，不是为了你能回来，而是要找个借口，不离开。

37. Waiting is not for the sake of your return, but to find an excuse not to leave.

38. 在你悠然自若的离开我时有没有听见我愚蠢的顿悟：哦，原来你那么重要

38. As you casually left me, did you hear my foolish realization: Oh, I see you are so important.

39. 想紧握的总有一天要松掉，给你自由让你远走。

39. That which you grasp tightly will eventually let go; it gives you freedom to go far away.

40. 电梯里有烟味，我宁愿走楼梯，你身边太挤我宁愿远离你。

40. There's a smell of smoke in the elevator, I'd rather take the stairs; it's too crowded around you, I'd rather keep my distance.

41. 9我年轻时，当年杭州尊师吩咐我两件事：一，这个世间的所有事情，都要轻松看；二，我们的心里面，不可往里面装，只可往外面扔。这样，你就无量。

41. When I was young, the respected teacher in Hangzhou gave me two instructions: one, regarding all matters in this world, one should view them with ease; two, within our hearts, we should not accumulate but rather discard. In this way, you will be boundless.

42. 原本以为已经忘记了，一个电话唤醒了所有记忆。

43. 别人再好，关我什么事；我再不好，关别人什么事

43. What does it matter to me if others are good; and what does it matter to others if I am not good?

47. All day long I toil just to satisfy my hunger, once I'm full I think of clothes. When both food and clothing are sufficient, I yearn for a beautiful wife with a charming appearance. Having a beautiful wife and having children, I regret not having enough land and a solid foundation. I buy extensive farmland, but have no boat or horse to travel, sighing at the lack of an official position and being bullied. Even as a county magistrate or assistant magistrate, I still feel it's too small, and I want to wear a purple robe in the imperial court. Having become an emperor, I seek the art of immortality, and even wish to soar into the heavens on a crane. If one wants the world to be content, it's all just a dream in the Western dreamland.

48. 即使是不成熟的尝试，也胜于胎死腹中的策略。

48. Even an unripe attempt is better than a strategy that is stillborn.

53. Hatred is a poison that can harm both our body and mind, causing us to suffer greatly. Letting go of hatred, turning the page of the past, is not only a sign of tolerance but also a wisdom to restart our lives.

54. 离开你，整个世界都快崩塌，只是这次你眼睁睁看我一个人苦苦挣扎。

54. Without you, the entire world seems to be collapsing, but this time, you watch me struggle alone, helplessly.

55. 能不能再见你一面，让我看着当初打动我的你那双眼睛。

57. 5男人的气质：临危而不惧，途穷而志存；苦难能自立，责任揽自身；怨恨能德报，美丑辩分明；名利甘居后，为理愿驰骋；仁厚纳知己，开明扩胸襟；当机能立断，遇乱能慎行；忍辱能负重，坚忍能守恒；临弱可落泪，对恶敢拼争；功高不自傲，事后常反省；举止终如一，立言必有行。

57. The temperament of five men: Fearless in the face of danger, determined when at the end of the road; Self-reliant in adversity, taking responsibility upon oneself; Able to repay resentment with virtue, clearly distinguishing between beauty and ugliness; Content to come second in fame and wealth, eager to pursue righteousness; Kind-hearted and accepting of close friends, open-minded and broadening one's horizons; Able to make quick decisions when necessary, cautious in the midst of chaos; Enduring suffering to bear heavy burdens, steadfast in perseverance; Touched by weakness and willing to shed tears, brave in confronting evil; Modest in success, often reflecting on actions after the fact; Consistent in behavior, and always acting on one's words.

58. 持子之手，方知子丑。泪流满面，子不走我走。

59. 活在这个世上不容易，学会说话很简单，学会闭嘴很难。

59. It's not easy to live in this world; learning to speak is simple, but learning to keep silent is hard.

60. 世上并没有用来鼓励工作努力的赏赐，所有的赏赐都只是被用来奖励工作成果的。
