1. Therefore, while you lost an interview opportunity, from another perspective, you actually accumulated a valuable experience!
2. "There is a saying, 'Give and give, only by giving can one receive.' Although this is true, it is not as simple as casually giving up some things to gain. "
3. Han Xin was not cowardly; he was wise in understanding the situation. If he had indulged in that momentary temper, there would have been no great general Han Xin in the future.
4. When you abandon all bad habits, you will attain a high-quality life.
5. As early as two thousand years ago, Mencius said these words: Fish, what I desire, and bear's paw, also what I desire. Both cannot be obtained at the same time, so one must give up fish for bear's paw. This is exactly an explanation from the perspective of choice and rejection, that only by giving up can one achieve something. Giving and taking is not only a philosophy of life but also an art of being and doing. Giving up and taking are like water and fire, heaven and earth, both opposing and unified, a contradictory concept that generates and counteracts each other, complements each other, exists in the universe, in the world, in the heart, exists in the subtle details, encompasses all the mechanisms of the operation of all things. Only when all things and things are in the state of giving and taking can harmony and unity be achieved. From ancient times to the present, how many famous figures have achieved great achievements or remarkable accomplishments. They all benefit from their profound understanding and mastery of the essence of the words "giving up and taking".
6. For example, let's say we are in a hurry to attend an interview, but unexpectedly encounter traffic congestion, and unfortunately miss the opportunity to sit for the interview. You might feel regret about this, but from another perspective, you would learn from this experience. Next time you go for an interview, you would make preparations in advance, taking all factors into consideration, and strive to arrive on time!
7. In the world, whether in the past or in the present, there is absolutely nothing that is only gained without any sacrifice. Throughout history, there have been not a few people who are brave enough to make sacrifices. It is precisely because they continuously make sacrifices that they have achieved happiness not only for themselves but also for many others.
8. Generosity is a spirit, a revelation of life. It is a contradictory entity that is both opposing and unified, interacting and complementing each other. It exists in the subtle details and encompasses all the mechanisms of the functioning of all things. All things and beings are within the concept of giving and taking, achieving harmony and unity. To gain, one must give up. There can be gain only through giving up.
9. Many people do not understand why, despite my constant efforts, I have not succeeded? Because you haven't clearly thought that success is a formula, which equals the right people, opportunities, a platform, and your unwavering determination. It's not just that we seize an opportunity and we can be successful.
10. The character "ren" (man) consists of two strokes: one stroke writes the first half of life, and the other stroke writes the second half. The first half of life is about persistence, and the second half is about letting go. With a heart filled with mountains and rivers, one does not act arbitrarily. Being serene and not competing, and being distant from disputes. There are no greedy thoughts in the mirror, there is joy amidst busyness, crossing through the four seasons also crosses oneself. Not dwelling on the past, not fearing the future!"
11. The relationship we truly need is not walking with the outstanding or associating with the successful, but being with those who make us feel comfortable. If the people around you always make you feel awkward, you should decisively let them go and exclude them from your life.
12. Having chosen the right path in life and having also strived hard, I have always struggled to persevere. Or I am always influenced by those around me, swaying back and forth, hesitant and indecisive, missing out on opportunities. Or I am weak and fearful,不敢 to invest, watching others reap great profits.
13. Giving is about dedication, offering, and providing the best, most precious, and most valuable things to others, which is not limited to material or spiritual things. Sending roses to others leaves a fragrance in your hands, helping others in their difficulties, saving lives, watering the roots of trees, helping others from the heart, and rescuing like putting out fires, all fall into this category. Giving is not for the sake of gaining something in return; if it is for gain, then it is not true giving, but rather a hidden motive or an equivalent or unequal exchange. Those who give never seek any return or gratitude. In fact, those who give also receive their due rewards, such as gratitude and thankfulness, being able to do something within their abilities for others, which brings great peace, comfort, and ease to the heart. May good people live a life of safety, have a smooth journey, and always be safe. Reflection.
14. The act of giving up and gaining, and what can one gain? Many people are willing to give up certain things only when they are faced with desperate situations, because these things are precious. However, what the owner of these things considers the most precious may be worth nothing to others. Therefore, giving up cannot be measured by material things. Enthusiasts in literature wander through the internet, giving up time but gaining spiritual joy. Of course, some people give up time but are affected by their bad mood, leading to a heavy heart. So, no matter in giving up or gaining, it still depends on one's own mood, just like how a person's mood can determine the change of seasons. As I wander through the internet, I have given up a lot of time and gained many friends. When many of our literary friends communicate on the internet, the feeling of meeting as old friends truly gives us a taste of the sentiment that "friends everywhere are close as neighbors." The earth is round, and human interactions are a matter of fate. The meaning that sounds the same but is spelled differently tells us that we should cherish this bond. In life, it's difficult to meet and difficult to part, and the same is true on the internet. This bond comes from our giving up time and gains us connections in our emotional world. As they say, "Fate brings people together across a thousand miles, while those without fate never meet face to face." We meet in the vast sea of the internet, shouldn't we cherish this emotional bond? In one's life, having a bond is not easy. With this bond, by giving out a smile, we gain everyone's care and love, which is not something to be joyful about. Giving up and gaining also have such a significant role on the internet.
15. If you save this half cup of lukewarm water and then pour hot water into it, the result may be a full cup of lukewarm water.
16. There are only two times in a person's life when it is the most relaxed: the first is at birth, coming with nothing but an empty basket on one's back; the second is at death, when one empties the basket clean, and then leaves with nothing. This is also what is sung in the lyrics: coming and going with nothing, free from any attachments. Giving up something we can't bear might hurt us deeply, even to the point of heartbreak, but it doesn't mean we can never have it. Conversely, obtaining something we desire might excite us, even to the point of ecstasy, but it also doesn't guarantee we can keep it forever. Many situations are only temporary. Since we currently don't have the ability to solve or cope with them, then no matter how much we think about it, it's of no benefit and only adds to our melancholy and sorrow. The ancients said: "What is in one's destiny will come, and what is not, one should not force." Although we may not believe in destiny much of the time, in real life, sometimes we have to submit to it. The fates play tricks on people, and between giving and taking, there is both pain and joy!
17. Life has its measure, and people have their own boundaries. While we cannot control our fate, we can control our actions. We can abandon anything, but we cannot forsake the sincerity in our hearts. We can lose everything, but we cannot lose the respect for our conscience. Be a little less cunning in life, a little more sincere, and do not seek a brilliant life, but a life without regrets!
18. If you truly want to do something, take a stand early. If you were someone who used to be willing or not, acting based on your mood, now that you have switched to a new platform and encountered a new project, you still find yourself in that previous state.
19. The principle of "the more you give, the more you get; the less you give, the less you get; if you don't give, you won't get." There's no such thing as a world where winners get everything. If you want to acquire something, you must give up something else. If you aspire to achieve great accomplishments, you must forsake laziness and foolishness, to strive, to think, to compete. If you want to lead a精彩 life, you must be willing to endure hardship and to persevere.
20. 舍弃你的虚荣心,你就变得务实了;舍去你的懒惰,你就变得勤奋了;舍去你的“自尊”,你变得就强大了;
20. Give up your vanity and you become practical; give up your laziness and you become diligent; give up your "ego" and you become strong.
21. To seek gain, one must first learn to give. Giving and receiving, receiving and giving, are filled in our trivial daily lives, depicting stories of success and failure. Giving and taking is a philosophy, also an art, a philosophy of magnanimity, an openness, and more importantly, a state of mind. Students, can we achieve such giving and taking?
22. I'm not sure what will happen next, who I will meet, what I will gain, and what challenges I will face. This period is filled with anticipation, confusion, challenges, and a lot of excitement.
23. I feel that I am also very energetic during the empty window period. I believe it will be even better. We lose what we call some favorite people, things, and objects, but please believe that something even better will appear in your life.
24. The relationship between "giving up" and "gaining" is like cause and effect. Cause and effect are related, and giving up and gaining are interactive. As the saying goes, "Without the spring breeze, there will be no autumn rain." In fact, this is the cause and effect of giving up and gaining. In the eyes of modern people, giving up is about sacrifice, contribution, and investment; gaining is about results, output, and recognition. In fact, giving up is just about sacrifice. There is nothing more genuine, noble, and selfless than the sacrifice of a mother. A mother's sacrifice is not seeking anything in return. Gaining is about return, and mothers do not seek return. This is the level of understanding. This level is to be willing to sacrifice for the happiness of one's children. Therefore, giving up is an embodiment of a philosophical thought and an inevitable choice in life. That's why the literary giant Jia Pingwa wrote in "Giving Up and Gaining": Those who know how to live, or those who are successful, actually understand these two characters: giving up. Not giving up, not gaining; small giving up, small gaining; big giving up, big gaining. Mr. Pingwa is indeed a person who has fully understood the mysteries and intricacies of life. I am not a great person like Mr. Pingwa, just an ordinary person. Therefore, I tell myself: When I can't change the environment, I will try to change myself; when I can't change the facts, I can change my attitude; when I can't change the past, I can change the present; I can't control others, but I can master myself; I can't predict the future, but I can grasp today; I can't control the weather, but I can change my mood; I can't extend the length of life, but I can decide the width of life!
25. For example, I planted a lot of scallions in my garden in spring, and I couldn't eat them all by myself. I gave the scallions to the neighbors next door to eat. I didn't mind, as not eating them all would just be a waste. After the neighbors finished eating, they didn't just take advantage of me; they owed me a favor. They bought back two bundles of spinach and insisted on giving me one bundle to eat. What is this called? I gained some benefits again. What did I lose? I didn't lose anything at all.
26. Our lives are a cycle of giving and receiving. Without giving, how can there be receiving? Without losing the watermelon, how can one pick up the sesame seeds? Without such experiences, how can one know the value of the watermelon, and how can one understand that people often learn from experiences? In fact, giving and receiving are meant to help us grow better and to treasure the things in front of us more deeply.
27. When the writer Li Shanglong worked as an English teacher at New Oriental, he had a colleague, Sister Li, who often complained about the heavens and the earth, was full of grievances, and had a strong aura of malice. Under her influence, Li Shanglong also felt incredibly oppressed and felt despair towards life.
28. Some people become extremely determined to regain what they have lost. Sometimes, it's like with relationships, even though they have already left, they still insist on trying to get them back. In reality, that's no longer the original taste; it can't return to the feeling of the past. At this time, we should look forward, for the scenery ahead might be more beautiful than what we have here. Because we are constantly growing, our understanding and ability to perceive things are always increasing, so our remaining years are bound to be more colorful. Let the things that we have lost remain in our memories.
29. Only by overcoming the weaknesses of human nature, shedding the habits that hinder our development, correcting ourselves, and improving ourselves, can we become more excellent and match the brilliance you desire.
30. Half of the exhaustion in life comes from survival, and the other half comes from the comparison with others. The less you demand of the status of life and the behavior of others, the easier it is for you to find happiness. As the saying goes: only when you are neither humble nor arrogant can your heart be at ease. Only when you do not compete nor make a fuss can your heart be at peace. Only when you do not aspire nor compare can you be indifferent and accommodating. Life is never perfect, and twists and turns are also part of the scenery. If you can see it with an open mind and understand it, it is perfect.
31. The concept of "Shědé" (to give and to receive) originated from the "Four Instructions of Lǎo Fán". The character "Shě" was originally written as a variant character meaning to hold something and give it to someone. "Dé" means to obtain or receive. When these two characters are combined into a peculiar compound, the two subtle and balanced Chinese characters created by the ancients suggest to us: "Shě" (to give) must come before "Dé" (to receive), meaning that one must give first in order to receive. Since then, it has become a spirit, a wisdom, and a realm. The words "Shědé" carry rich connotations in our language. I myself am a follower of Buddhism and have read several Buddhist scriptures. In the Buddhist teachings, there is an interpretation of "Shědé" that goes like this: One who gives and receives truly has nothing to give and nothing to receive; this is what is called "Shědé". After reading the Buddhist scriptures, the deepest impression I got was that giving is receiving, and receiving is giving, just as the form is emptiness and emptiness is form. For thousands of years, the give-and-take, receive-and-give of "Shědé" and "Déshě" has filled our mundane daily lives, depicting numerous stories of success and failure.
32. If one gives up smoking and gains a healthy body, and舍弃s some friends who indulge in alcohol and meat, one will then discover who one's true friends are. By giving up the idea of being content with the status quo, one will become more proactive and strive to carve out a piece of heaven for oneself.
33. Giving and taking is the essence of culture; giving and taking is an eternal philosophy; giving and taking is also a Zen of life that arises spontaneously with the heart. Giving and taking, like water and fire, heaven and earth, yin and yang, are contradictory concepts that are both opposed and unified, interdependent and complementary, existing in the heavens and earth, in human society, and in the heart. The natural world around us also cycles and transforms, demonstrating the dynamics of giving and taking. Look at it: the cicada abandons its shell to sing freely; the gecko sheds its tail to survive in danger; the male spider risks its life for love, thus ensuring the continuation of its offspring. The弱小的 animals in nature, with their extraordinary wisdom, remind us that only by giving can we receive. Therefore, giving and taking is a spirit, an enlightenment, a wisdom, a realm of life, a philosophy of dealing with the world, and an art of being and doing. Yu Dan explains the Tao Te Ching by Laozi, suggesting that at different ages, one should make different choices and give and take. Giving and taking is about shedding illusion for enlightenment, shedding the small for the great, shedding the false for the true, shedding the empty for the substantial. If one can shed one's prejudices, attachments, worries, sadness, and delusions, they will be able to achieve ease and happiness!
34. The scenery, and how can one appreciate the even more magnificent view ahead? As some songs by Lin Youjia say, I don't want to give up this moment for the unpredictable future. Yes, there may be many risks ahead, but how many times in life can one take a risk? If not now, then when?
35. Life is a process of giving and taking, and the right balance of giving and taking is what enables you to become a winner in life.
36. In fact, you are not capable of doing it, because as long as you remain the same, no matter how good the project or the platform is, you will not be able to carry it. So when we face new opportunities, we need to make a choice, which may involve giving up some things to gain others.
37. Since ancient times, how many people have interpreted the characters "shě dé" (giving up and obtaining) in such a spectacular manner. Wang Zhaojun gave up the luxurious court life with its silks and foods, and set out on the dusty road to the Western Regions, gaining a temporary peace for the world and endless praise from later generations; Zhu Yingtai gave up all the worldly繁华, transformed into a butterfly, and yet received an eternal and timeless love; King Goujian of Yue, after being defeated by King Fuchai of Wu, gave up his king's dignity for a time, endured hardships and took bitter medicine, reflecting and training himself for ten years, and then he retook the world. These are the brilliant examples of giving up and obtaining. The famous American master of interpersonal relations, the founder of modern Western interpersonal education, Carnegie said: The happiness we gain in life does not lie in where we are, nor in what we possess, nor in who we are, but only in the realm our souls have reached.
