3. 而我们就要做这种 自燃型 的人，因为自己的成功，哪怕再小的成功也要有所感动，诚挚的对待生活为小小的成功，从而更加努力的工作，把感动带来的能量当做动力。就如《微习惯》里讲的，再微小的习惯都可以改变我们，一个俯卧撑改变了作者的整个人生。“狄德罗效应”也是如此，不要忽视每一次小的成功，它可以刺激我们的大脑，激励我们持续前行。

3. We should strive to be those self-igniting individuals, because even the smallest success should evoke a sense of satisfaction. Treating life with sincerity in the face of small achievements, we are motivated to work even harder, using the energy of our emotions as a driving force. 7. 昔时，佛云：三布施中以无畏施为最易行持，且无须形成生活上额外之负担。何谓无畏施？换言之，乃属义务劳动，以真诚之心，用身体行动去充当财力布施，所谓“义务劳动”？诸如：扫塔涂地，或有贫苦、生活不便之家庭，予以伸出援手代其整理整洁，此皆谓之为义务劳动，当然包括道院之共修、法会及道场一切班期之场地清洁和布置，分属无畏施，乃为初入道求学者之方便法门。因此，无畏施是初入道者之行持法门，亦是资深道子之行持法门，若能发诚行持，当下不失为修行者之消业明灯。

What is the giving of fearlessness? In other words, it refers to voluntary labor, where one acts with a sincere heart to serve as a material donation through physical actions. What is "voluntary labor"? It includes activities such as sweeping the tower and painting the ground, or helping poor and inconvenient families with their cleaning and tidying up. These are all considered voluntary labor, of course including the cleaning and arrangement of the venues for the community practice, gatherings, and all classes at the temple, which all belong to the giving of fearlessness and are convenient methods for beginners seeking the path. Therefore, the giving of fearlessness is a practice method for beginners on the path, as well as for experienced practitioners. If one can sincerely practice it, it can still be a bright lamp for cultivating virtue for practitioners.

8. 如果你能成功地造选择劳动，并把自己的全部精神灌注到它里面去，那么幸福本身就会找到你。

8. If you can successfully choose labor and pour all your spirit into it, then happiness itself will find you.

16. 无论家庭，若无法达到上下左右皆一贯顺畅，其家庭必不能兴旺，其职场必不能鸿展。改良不圆满处及不如意事，当知各自从本身着手，审察我身之不能与众合和，究其因何在？再针对所有缺点，加以改善成为与众圆融之合群人、事、物，果真能如此，则其家庭必能隆昌，其职场必定能发展。

16. Regardless of the family, if one cannot achieve smoothness in all directions - up, down, left, and right - then the family will not thrive, and the career will not flourish. To improve the imperfect aspects and the unsatisfactory matters, one should know to start from oneself, examine why one cannot harmonize with others, and find the root cause. Then, for all the shortcomings, work on improving them to become a harmonious, group-oriented person, matter, and thing. If one can truly do so, then the family will surely flourish, and the career will undoubtedly develop.

17. Let's not hesitate to paint a beautiful picture of our work and life, maintaining an optimistic mindset. However, blind optimism is not permissible, nor is excessive caution. While conceiving, we must also consider the inevitable problems that will arise in the future. Then, when faced with difficulties and obstacles, we need to summon courage and maintain optimism. Subsequently, we must take decisive and resolute actions to proceed to the next step.

18. 佛云：“诚求忏悔，灭罪恒河沙”，人生几经轮回，积造无边恶业，一时迷茫不知所为，于是深种业因，随时光轮转，乃形成因缘果报，造善因得善果，种恶因得恶报。

At times of confusion and not knowing what to do, one deeply plants the seeds of karma, and with the turning of time, these seeds form cause and effect. Sowing good causes brings good fruits, while sowing evil causes brings evil retribution.

The operator of the hot air balloon can only adjust the height of the balloon to capture different wind directions, and the specific route and landing point of the balloon can only be left to fate. This is precisely the charm of riding a hot air balloon: it offers the possibility of control while retaining uncertainty, making it more exciting than any precisely planned flight. In fact, the joy of life is also in this balance between certainty and uncertainty, and you will never know whether you have truly succeeded or not. Enjoying the process is the most important.

23. 茫茫人海，人情淡薄，而万教千宗各有所长。昔时唯有帝王始能入道修行，如今末法时期“道降火宅”，人人得以亲近佛道而求修。然而千宗万脉，各渡有缘，有如万花筒一般，令人眼花撩乱，不知从何处着手，想接近道场，又恐怕走入偏差路径？

23. Amidst the vast sea of people, where human feelings are thin, each of the myriad teachings and sects has its own strengths. In the past, only emperors could enter the path of cultivation. In this latter age of degenerate teachings, "the path descends to the house of fire," and everyone can approach the Buddha-dharma in search of cultivation. However, with the myriad sects and streams, each catering to those with the proper connections, it's like a kaleidoscope that confuses the eyes, leaving one unsure of where to start. One wants to approach the place of practice, yet fears one might wander off onto a wrong path.

24. 迷子初醒，尚存诸般茫然，举足无措，一来有心向道，二来求消业障，因而忏悔一门，正因应初修道子之方便。

24. The lost soul has just awakened, still confused and at a loss for where to step. On one hand, he has a desire to seek the path of truth, and on the other hand, he seeks to eliminate his karma obstacles. Therefore, repentance is a door that is particularly suited for beginners on the path of spiritual cultivation.

25. 厉害的人，都要想方设法走出自我意识，站在认知的制高点上，才能驾轻就熟，游刃有余。

25. The truly talented must find ways to transcend self-awareness and stand at the peak of cognition in order to handle things skillfully and with ease.

26. 作者称这种持续的人生态度和工作态度为 “与宇宙意志相协调 ”，是指一方面是埋头苦干的决心，另一方面是定能成功的确信，以乐观的态度面对困难和逆境。这是人生取得成功的法则，是经营者的生存智慧， 只要永不言弃，持续追求完美主义，事态一定会出现转机。

The most feared aspect of doing things is to have words without intention, intention without action. 44. 只因为世人由迷途步入正道程，俗气尚重，若要由荤食立刻改为素食，实在不容易；是以故，为方便世人修行，乃可以先从五净肉，开始培养出内性慈悯之心，待机缘一到，自然产生食素心思，而止断杀业。当然能于初学道便心生慈悯，不再造作杀生害命之荤食，则我人在修行之道路上，将不会累积杀业，而修行路途上能渐见光辉，而升华进化也。

44. It is indeed not easy for people who have strayed from the right path to suddenly switch from eating meat to a vegetarian diet, as their worldly nature is still strong. Therefore, in order to facilitate the practice of others, one can start by cultivating a compassionate heart from the consumption of "five clean meats," which refers to meat that is considered pure and permissible in some religious or cultural contexts. Once the opportunity arises, the natural thought of becoming vegetarian will emerge, and the act of killing will cease. Of course, if one can develop a compassionate heart from the very beginning of their spiritual journey and refrain from creating harm through the consumption of meat, then on the path of practice, one will not accumulate karmic debt of killing. This will allow the journey of practice to gradually shine with light, and to evolve and elevate.

51. 试想，一个能力很强，可以打90分，但他的热情只有30分，9030，得分2700分；而另一个人的能力只比平均人略高一些，只能得到60分，当他的热情是90时，得到的结果是5400分。比能力高的人，结果翻了一番。当然，这些都需要有一个良好的思维方式作为前提。

Imagine, a person with a strong capability, who can score 90 points, but has only 30 points of enthusiasm, which results in a total of 2700 points; while another person, who is only slightly above average in capability, scoring 60 points, achieves a result of 5400 points when their enthusiasm is at 90. The result is doubled for the person with higher capability. Of course, all these require a good mindset as a prerequisite.

52. 修行之人欲得消减业报，唯有“诸恶莫作、众善奉行”，如能一心诚求忏悔，将能减去本身夙累所造恶因业。忏乃深悟前非而痛心革面，悔乃不再违犯；前者知过能改，是故善因能造作；后者止断恶业不再造作恶因，是故忏悔得其效应，始获其利益也。

52. Those who practice the path to diminish their karmic retribution should follow the principle of "do not do any evil and do many good deeds." If they sincerely seek repentance, they will be able to reduce the negative karma caused by their past misdeeds. Repentance is the deep understanding of past mistakes and the resolve to change, while regret is the decision not to repeat them; the former knows its faults and can make amends, therefore, good causes can be created; the latter stops and discontinues the creation of evil karma, hence, repentance yields its effects, and one begins to receive its benefits.

54. 反过来说，缺乏强烈的愿望和深入的思考，事前看不到结果，那么，可以说事业和人生的成功都是靠不住的。《能力陷阱》一书看完后，刷新我认知的就是我们要朝不同方向发展自己，重新审视“真实”的自己，要模仿成功者的样子，定目标、定方向、定行动，从而更好的开拓创新，不断拓展自己的能力圈，遇到更好的自己。

62. Amidst the bustling world, there are many who are not financially well-off. It is said that life is convenient everywhere and the people's livelihood is universally improved. Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle, faced with limited earnings and rising consumption, despite the intention to do good and the willingness to make donations, it often takes a long time to fulfill the desire to engage in charitable acts, as compared to the expenses required from one's earnings.
