Seeking simple solutions for correction, embarking on the path to inner peace—the journey of spiritual growth commences.

1. A clear and insightful statement: "The older you get, the more you realize that the length of life is no longer than the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter; the breadth of life is no broader than the cardinal directions of north, south, east, and west; the height of life is no higher than the blue sky and white clouds; and the impermanence of life is merely the joys and sorrows, separations and reunions."

2. In the first half of life, from simple to complex, this is experience; in the second half of life, from complex to simple, this is cultivation. With a few close friends, facing each other in silence, our hearts are understood; with a cup of clear tea, the mundane affairs of the world are irrelevant to me.

3. Life is a process of simplifying complexities. At a certain age, one will find that the pain of life comes from complexity. When we put down all unnecessary burdens, maintain a tranquil mind and a few desires, and are content with what we have, life will become relaxed and carefree, as light as the clouds and as gentle as the breeze.

4. How much we once yearned to have many friends, for every friend is like an additional path. No matter what we encounter, there's someone willing to generously lend a hand; no matter what kind of suffering we face, there's someone to share our sorrows with. However, as we stumbled and bumbled along the way, we found that human relationships are as thin as sheets of paper, and the world is as ever-changing as a chessboard. If you are just an ordinary person and cannot offer any value to others, then no one will want to be close to you. Even if you have some utility value to others, it will eventually dwindle and fade away.

5. The essence of life is a century of loneliness. We don't need to pretend to have many friends. It's better to be with people who resonate with our souls than to act out a show with those who are insincere. Without burdens, without calculations, without the exchange of benefits, just a pot of clear tea, three cups of light wine, and some aimless chatter are enough.

6. Even if one doesn't have several close friends, one should still enjoy life in one's own world, seek pleasure in one's own pursuits, and derive happiness from self-entertainment.

7. There is nothing in the world, but the common people make trouble for themselves.

8. Often, we find things to be complicated, not because the things themselves are complex, but because our desires or our hearts are too complicated.

9. We always want too much recognition from too many people, always want to meet many expectations, always want to achieve things to a certain extent, and put various kinds of pressure on ourselves, so we get trapped in a vortex of pain, unable to pull ourselves out.

10. There are only three things in this world: your own affairs, others' affairs, and the affairs of heaven. Do your own affairs to the best of your ability, and once you have done your best, leave the outcome to heaven. Do not waste mental energy, and do not care about any opinions others may have of you. Others' affairs are purely trivial matters; do not concern yourself with them. Everyone has their own life and karma, and we should learn to respect others' destinies. As for the affairs of heaven, we should not interfere with them at all. We cannot control them, and there is no need to control them; just let things take their natural course.

11. Mind your own business and let others deal with their own. Just focus on doing your own thing, and things won't seem so complicated.

12. Man is a bundle of desires. When desires are not satisfied, one feels pain; when desires are satisfied, one feels emptiness.

13. We must manage our desires well, govern them with reason and wisdom, in order to become masters of our lives and lead the life we desire.

14. A vast expanse of fertile land, yet one only eats three meals a day. A thousand rooms in a grand mansion, yet one only sleeps in eight feet. In this world, the things we truly need are not many, but the things we desire are too numerous to count.

15. Learn to simplify our desires and live a life of contentment with a serene and modest attitude. With simple demands for material things, as long as there is food and drink, warm clothing and sufficient nourishment, we should not compare ourselves with anyone else. Do not pursue luxurious indulgences beyond our basic needs for survival. Then, within our own capabilities, we can live calmly and comfortably, enjoying a relaxed and contented life.

16. When one's mind is simple, there is a focus on managing life; when life is simple, there is time to enjoy life...

17. Seeing through is wisdom; seeing through is confusion. Everything is changing because it is not yet perfect. Perfection is the ultimate of development, and being the ultimate, it should be stationary. Those who see through understand that there is no perfection in the world and accept imperfection calmly; those who are confused constantly pursue perfection and are entangled in imperfection. So-called seeing through the world's trivialities is an escape from imperfection. It's better to be indifferent rather than see through. No matter how cruel the world is, my heart is like a flower, it will bloom when it should and fall when it should.

18. A clear mind sees all things as bright, while a murky mind sees all things as dark; a foolish mind is lost in confusion, and a wise mind finds enlightenment. The mind is the director of the play of life, and thoughts are the negatives of life's scenes. The source of everything lies within the heart, and obsession, attachment, resentment, and hatred only cause the heart to churn and disturb the peace. Only by letting go of these things can one live轻松 naturally. Wisdom and foolishness are separated by the mind, and heaven and hell are but a thought apart. Letting go of烦恼 becomes enlightenment, and a change in mood can turn a cloudy sky into a sunny one.

19. If the heart is let go, the wind is light and the clouds are light; if it can't be let go, the bitterness is not only in the present, but also in the future. Flowers bloom and wither at their own time; don't miss the next blooming season because of sadness over the withering of flowers. On the path of life, one may encounter pitfalls and obstacles at any time; every time you overcome them, it is a growth. The greatest obstacle in life is not difficulties, but one's own heart. Only by letting go of the past can one fulfill the present.

20. A true practitioner of the way, lifts a thousand pounds as if carrying a feather, embraces all things as if holding a tiny hair, and holds the world as if holding a tiny piece of straw. Their thoughts are pure, their intentions are calm, and their actions are unimpetuous; their eyebrows do not surge, and their breathing is constant. A true practitioner of the way lives like drinking tea their whole life, the water is boiling, yet their heart is serene. A small table, a pot, a secluded abode, sipping slowly, they view the fleeting splendor of the world as mist, swirling and dissipating. A true practitioner of the way embodies a sense of composure and elegance everywhere.

21. The greatest charm of a person is to have a sunny mindset. Youth and beauty are fleeting, and external appearances will eventually age. All the showy things in life are ultimately just ephemeral mist. Embracing a sunny mindset, one is free from worries about gains and losses, and accepts the coming and going with ease. With no desires, one is not bound by the myriad things of the world; and with no entanglements, one can sit or walk with composure, thus exuding elegance. An elegant person is pleasing to the eyes and soothing to the heart, and that is the kind of person who exudes charm. Appearance is given by nature, and the showy things are external. It is having a heart full of sunshine that makes beauty eternal.

22. Truth is the highest境界 in life. What is truth means not lying, not acting deceitfully, not going against one's conscience, and acting purely according to one's nature. Without deception, one's own strengths and weaknesses are clear at a glance, thus one can neither be overly proud nor overly self-deprecating. Without desiring the unattainable, one can live a simple life in accordance with the Tao and be content with what one has, thereby always finding joy. Not going against one's conscience means there are no worries in the heart, and every day is peaceful. Acting according to one's nature, one acts when it is appropriate and stops when it is not; therefore, there are no delusions or烦恼.

23. In fact, life should be lived quickly when it needs to be and slowly when it needs to be. Chasing speed and busyness are not the purposes of our lives. Learn to steal a moment amidst the hustle, set aside the matters in your heart, gather three or five close friends, find a quiet place, pour a pot of old tea, and let its unique rich aroma slowly fill the entire room. Then, even in the real world where life is chaotic and busy, you can relax the tense soul through the immersion in the tea, and find the long-lost happiness.

24. Despite the chaos around, everyone's heart yearns for a quiet haven. True tranquility is not about escaping the hustle and bustle of life, but about cultivating peace within by building walls and planting chrysanthemums in one's heart. Learn to accept and confront, but more importantly, understand how to let go. Life is a journey of cultivation, and cultivation requires cultivating the mind. Anchor your peace within and let it not be disturbed or entangled by various illusions. Gradually, you will discover that that serene haven, that clear, pure space, does not need to be searched for far and wide; it is right within your heart.

25. The realm of life, in essence, is the realm of the soul. If the mind is confused and lost, no matter how far we go, it will be difficult to capture the essence of life, or to appreciate the picturesque scenery. Only with the tranquility of the soul can we forge the elegance of human nature. This tranquility is the peace after gains and losses, the serenity in the face of temptation, the composure in adversity, and the smile that faces this chaotic world.

26. Man can only live once, so please don't live too tired. If we can maintain a calm mind, sit and watch the clouds gather and disperse, flowers bloom and wither, and let the vicissitudes of life flow by, we can obtain a serene and carefree mood. Engage in ordinary matters, be an ordinary person, maintain a healthy mindset, and keep a balanced psychology. If we can approach each day with this most beautiful mood, then every day will be filled with sunshine and brimming with hope.

27. Don't let life be defeated by mood. Mood is not the whole of life, but it can influence the whole of life. When the mood is good, everything is good; when the mood is bad, everything is chaotic. We often are not defeated by others, but rather, a bad mood undermines our image, lowers our abilities, disrupts our thinking, and thus we lose to ourselves. Only by controlling our mood can life be peaceful everywhere.

28. When you're feeling down, ask yourself frequently, what can't you understand or what can't you stand? If you feel unpleasant, look out the window and enjoy the boundless scenery; gaze at the vast and boundless sky, and learn from the open sky that does not close its door. Life has no despair, only things that are not understood; life has no end, only things that are not seen through. There's no need to cling to old dreams with new thoughts; in a moment or a day, it's all rebirth. Changing your perspective is hope, and turning your head is a rebirth.

29. In life, one should be like a tranquil river that runs deep, maintaining a balance between tension and relaxation. When engaging in work, be patient and composed, accumulating strength and then making an impact. Avoid seeking immediate benefits and remain serene, undisturbed by external factors and not entangled by temptation. Accept gains and losses, successes and failures, gatherings and separations with an ease of mind. Detachment is a form of growth in life.

30. Do not be too demanding with things, for they come as they are; do not dwell on things that have passed, for they are gone; do not frown upon things, for they can bring joy; do not strive for certain outcomes, for doing is right in itself. Do not reject busyness, for it is a form of fulfillment; do not complain about setbacks, for they make you stronger; do not hold a grudge against those you once loved, for all endings are new beginnings. In fact, simple living is just an attitude, and peace comes from a calm heart. Do not fear the long journey, but fear an old heart.
