The desire for fame and wealth has caused them to lose their principles and底线, to flatter and oblige those in power, showing servile and obsequious behavior; the desire for food and drink has allowed them to indulge in gluttony, overeating, and ruining their physical health; the desire for sexual relations has drained their bodies, damaged their vitality, and led to a succession of various diseases.

10. 欲望就像火焰，不控制就会燎原，欲望就像洪水，不遏制就会滔天。我们必须管控自己的欲望，清心寡欲的生活，不为名利而折腰，不为口腹之欲和男女之欲而放纵，在平平淡淡的日子里，知足常乐，懂得自律，才能健康快乐，延年益寿。
