In the complex and intricate modern society, mastering the art of living is like savoring a pot of fragrant tea, neither confined by the hustle and bustle of the secular world, nor immersed in lengthy contemplation, nor allowing oneself to be troubled by anxiety and pressure. Let us start by learning not to get angry, not to be计较, not to worry, and together explore the beauty and tranquility of life.
1. 不生气,稳住自己。
1. Do not get angry, and stay composed.
2. 人生终归一死,荣辱沉浮和恩怨情仇都是一场空,最后都得一笔勾销。与其让它们在内心折磨你,不如从容放下,与世无争。
2. In the end, life leads to death. Honor and disgrace, rise and fall, and love and恨 are all in vain, and in the end, they all need to be erased. It's better to let them go gracefully in your heart, rather than competing with the world.
3. 当你站在一楼,别人骂你,你会怒不可遏。你站在十楼,别人骂你,你未必听得真切。你站在二十楼,别人骂你,还以为别人和你打招呼呢。
3. When you are standing on the first floor and someone curses at you, you might become extremely angry. If you are standing on the tenth floor and someone curses at you, you may not even hear it clearly. When you are on the twenty-first floor, if someone curses at you, you might even think that the other person is greeting you.
4. 人生除了生死,其他的都是小事。

5. 花是浇死的,人是气死的。不要在乎任何人对你的任何态度,别人冒犯,讨厌你,看不起你,那是别人的能量太低,素质太差,你完全不必一般见识。别人做错了事,走错了路,那是他自己的因果和命数,也不必把它归咎在自己的身上。
5. Flowers are killed by overwatering, people are killed by anger. Don't care about anyone's attitude towards you. If others offend you, dislike you, or look down upon you, it's because their energy is too low and their quality is too poor, and you don't need to take it lightly. If others make mistakes or take the wrong path, it's their own karma and destiny, and you should not blame yourself for it either.
6. 有一个好心态,以平常心看待一切,不管事情的发展逻辑和轨迹走到哪里,我们都可以兵来将挡,水来土掩,见招拆招,如果实在无能为力,就只有听天由命,顺其自然。
6. Maintain a good mindset, view everything with a calm heart. No matter where the development logic and trajectory of things go, we can meet the enemy with our strength, cover the water with the soil, meet challenge with challenge. If we truly have no power to change it, we can only leave it to fate and let it be as it is.
7. 弘一法师说:“别去争,越争心越累;别去怨,越怨心越苦;别去恨,越恨心越气。怨来恨去,难为了别人,伤的是自己,学会放下,心安才是归处。”

Master Hongyi said, "Don't argue, for the more you argue, the more tired your heart becomes; don't complain, for the more you complain, the more bitter your heart becomes; don't hold grudges, for the more you hold grudges, the more frustrated you become. Complaining and holding grudges only burden others and harm yourself. Learn to let go, and peace of mind is where your heart truly belongs."
8. 很多我们觉得过不去的坎,三年之后回头看,不过是一道微不足道的小水沟。很多我们耿耿于怀的矛盾和伤害,多年之后再看,不过是一次可笑的往事而已。
8. Many obstacles that we find insurmountable at the time, when looked back upon after three years, are nothing but a trivial little stream. Many conflicts and injuries that we bear a grudge about, when reflected upon many years later, are but a laughable episode.
9. 你的格局越大,境界越高,越不愿意在一些鸡零狗碎的事情上牵扯。不要和重要的人,计较不重要的事,也不要和不重要的人,计较重要的事。
9. The bigger your scope, the higher your level, the less you will be willing to get involved in trivial matters. Do not argue about unimportant things with important people, nor should you argue about important things with unimportant people.

11. Feng Zikai said in his book "A Sudden Clarity": "If you love, there is loveliness everywhere. If you hate, there is hatefulness everywhere. If you are grateful, there is gratitude everywhere. If you grow, there is growth in everything. It is not the world that has chosen you, but you that have chosen this world. Since there is nowhere to hide, might as well be foolishly happy. Since there is nowhere to escape to, might as well be joyful. Since there is no pure land, might as well calm your mind. Since your wishes have not been fulfilled, might as well let go."
12. 修好自己的内心,做一个内心无比强大的人,在冷暖凉薄的人世间稳住自己,才能够活得幸福自在。

20. 99% of the things we worry about will not happen. Don't overspend your anxiety on future events. The world is inherently impermanent, the future is unpredictable, and fate is elusive. All of our anticipatory anxieties are self-inflicted troubles.
