人生下半场，洞悉世事不如淡然处之，洞见真相应更应释前而行。

In the second half of life, understanding the complexities of the world is not as important as calmly dealing with them; having insight into the truth should lead to letting go of past grievances.

1. 任何让你痛苦的人，都不值得你去相处，任何让你痛苦的事，都不值得你去追求。不要为不能改变的事情而忧心，不要为与己无关的事情而伤神，怎么潇洒就怎么活，怎么开心就怎么过。

1. Any person who causes you pain is not worth your company, and any matter that brings you suffering is not worth pursuing. Do not worry about things that cannot be changed, and do not let yourself be troubled by matters that have nothing to do with you. Live carefree and enjoy life as you wish.

2. 正如杨绛先生所说：“我们曾如此期盼外界的认可，到最后才发现，世界是自己的，与他人毫无关系。身有清泉，心纳万象，人有静气，便无俗情，愿你我都能在俗常日子里，行安闲之事，遣有涯之生。”

2. As Mr. Yang Jiang once said: "We had so eagerly anticipated the recognition of the outside world, only to find out in the end that the world is our own, having nothing to do with others. With a clear spring within us, our hearts embrace all things; with a serene demeanor, we can discard worldly desires. May we both be able to engage in peaceful activities amidst the mundane days and enjoy our finite lives."

3. 如果你把事情看得很透，而又无法做出实质性的改变，就会活得非常痛苦和憋屈。看透不如看淡，糊涂一点，愚笨一点，不要瞎操闲心，不要关注风云，专心过好自己的小日子，其他事情随遇而安，云淡风轻，不要去关注。

3. If you see things too clearly but are unable to make substantial changes, you will live in great pain and frustration. It's better to take things lightly than to see through them. Be a bit more naive, a bit more foolish, don't worry about trivial matters, don't pay attention to the changing tides, focus on living your own small life, and let other things be as they may. Keep things calm and light, and don't pay attention to them.

4. 静，是心静，有间书房，安放身心，一缕茶香，慰藉劳顿，生活从来不缺风景，难的是有心来赏。静，更是心境，不慌不忙，不卑不亢。”

4. Quietness is a calmness of the mind. There is a study room, where one can settle the body and soul. A whiff of tea fragrance comforts the fatigue. Life is never short of scenery, but the difficulty lies in having the heart to appreciate it. Quietness is also a state of mind, composed and unhurried, neither humble nor haughty.

5. 人生真的不需要那么多的身外之物，要有阳光，空气，水和粮食，我们就可以好好的活着。何必在乎别人的眼光，何必委屈自己去迎合别人，何必为了一些蝇头小利，让自己卷入尔虞我诈的斗争场？

5. Life really doesn't need so many material things outside of ourselves. With sunshine, air, water, and food, we can live well. Why should we care about others' opinions, why should we compromise ourselves to please others, and why should we be entangled in the squabbles and deceitful struggles for trivial gains?

6. 看过这么一段话：普通人最顶级的保命方式，就是不谈论天下大事，不关心时代热点，不理会世界纷争，不操心别人的事，不买彩票，不信保险，不乱投资，不做和自己无关的事，不评论别人的人生，非必要不说话，留口气暖暖肚子。

Having read the following passage: The best way for an ordinary person to save their life is not to discuss major world events, not to be concerned with current hot issues, not to pay attention to the world's disputes, not to worry about others' affairs, not to buy lottery tickets, not to trust insurance, not to make arbitrary investments, not to do things unrelated to oneself, not to comment on others' lives, not to speak unless necessary, and to reserve some breath to warm one's belly.

7. 贾平凹说：“大多数人来到这个世界上就是凑数的，为了一口吃的，不辞辛劳，夜以继日的劳作，无非就是换一个大点的碗吃饭，其实和飞禽走兽没啥区别，如果说贡献的话，也就是传宗接代，让世界多一些凑数的。”

7. Jia Pingwa said, "Most people come into this world just to fill numbers. They work tirelessly day and night for a mouthful of food, all just to get a bigger bowl to eat from. In reality, they're no different from birds and beasts. If there's any contribution to be made, it's just about passing on the lineage, making the world a little more crowded with people who fill numbers."

8. 放下心中的执念，摆脱对名利的执着，心有山海，静而不争。

8. Let go of the attachments in your heart, free yourself from the obsession with fame and fortune, have the heart of mountains and seas, and be serene without contention.

9. 这个世界上有太多的不公平，不公正，不公开，不如意，不容易，不轻易。有权有势的人骄奢淫逸，飞扬跋扈，颐指气使，自以为是，而我们普通人，义愤填膺，却又无可奈何，心有不甘，却又无能为力。

9. There is too much injustice, unfairness, lack of transparency, dissatisfaction, and difficulty in this world. The powerful and influential indulge in extravagance and licentiousness, act arbitrarily and with an air of superiority, and are self-righteous. While we ordinary people are filled with righteous anger, we feel helpless, feeling不甘心 yet unable to take any action.

10. 我们都只是芸芸众生的一员，普通得不能再普通，渺小得不能再渺小，在苍茫宇宙面前，和一只蚂蚁，一片树叶，一粒尘埃，一只蚊子，没有任何区别，不要给自己那么大的压力和责任感，也不必和任何事，任何人纠缠，看透不如看淡，看穿不如看开，难得糊涂，云淡风轻，自然安好。

10. We are all just one among the myriad of beings, ordinary to the utmost, insignificant beyond measure. In the face of the boundless universe, we are no different from an ant, a leaf, a grain of dust, or a mosquito. Do not put on yourself such great pressure and responsibility, nor entangle yourself in anything or anyone. It's better to take things lightly than to see through them, and to take things as they come than to discern them. It's a rare virtue to be able to be confused, and it's peaceful when the clouds are light and the wind is gentle. Nature is always good.

11. 人民日报有段文摘：“每个人都向往诗和远方，但平凡的生活才是日常，中国人的优雅，不是避开车马喧嚣，而是在心中修篱种菊，静心做事，静气做人。

12. 春有百花秋有月，夏有凉风冬有雪。莫将闲事挂心头，便是人间好时节。

12. In spring there are blooming flowers, in autumn there is the moon, in summer there is the cool breeze, and in winter there is snow. Do not let trivial matters weigh on your heart, for it is a pleasant season in human life.

13. 世界上只有三件事，别人的事，自己的事，老天的事。别人的事不要管，老天的事管不上，能够把自己的事情管好，就已经非常不容易了。

13. There are only three things in the world: other people's affairs, your own affairs, and heaven's affairs. Don't meddle with other people's affairs, you can't control heaven's affairs, and it's already very difficult to manage your own affairs well.
