Throughout the long journey of life, the distinction between being thirty and reaching the age of seventy may not be the key; what matters most is what we actually experience.

1. In the remainder of our lives, we should live according to our own preferences, being close to those we like, doing things we enjoy, admiring landscapes we love, eating meals we savor, allowing simple days to flow like poetry, making ordinary life expressive as a song, and even making mundane or bumpy destinies bloom with vivid smiles.

2. Many people may have many goals, such as how much money to make, what kind of social status to achieve, or what kind of university to get their children into. However, they may not realize that these are shackles that bind the freedom of life, and they can only make themselves more miserable.

3. Only those who remain in a state of "awakening," fully aware and deeply understanding the art of "choosing and letting go," will always be conscious and recognize that one should not strive too hard for everything. As long as one is sufficiently diligent and does one's duty sincerely, and also learns to go with the flow, there will always be a day when flowers bloom and fruits are harvested. Moreover, such individuals, when faced with significant matters, are never hesitant. They will resolutely not drag their feet in letting go of what should be discarded, and it is only by shedding more of what is unnecessary to oneself that one can expect to receive what is truly due in the days to come. They will also understand that there is a principle of give and take: only by being willing to give up can one expect to receive. If an individual always clings tightly to what they have, never willing to let go, and desires to grasp everything while unwilling to part with anything, they will find that on the path of life ahead, they will gain nothing, and what they do receive will become increasingly less and more difficult to attain. When the heart is free from the束缚 of various people and things, not caring about the burden of fame and fortune; not caring about the entanglements of love that cannot be cut off or sorted out; not caring about whether what one has gained is more or less, whether one has suffered a loss or gained an advantage... At this moment, the flower of life blooms most brilliantly, and the steps of life are taken with the most ease and composure.

4. During the journey of life, as long as it is within our reach and capabilities, to see the scenery we want to see, to meet the people we want to meet, and to taste the various delicious foods we desire... these are the most beautiful dreams that are cherished in our hearts.

5. On the journey of chasing dreams, one may encounter and face obstacles such as cloudy skies, foggy conditions, and thorny paths, as well as towering mountains, deep valleys, and roaring waves; even more, one may encounter various kinds of temptations and traps... However, after a heart has been sufficiently rested and adjusted, it is still capable of maintaining an alert mind, clearly knowing what can be done now and what must absolutely not be done now. One will neither fear getting lost in the maze of misty jungles nor fear that mistakes made in confusion cannot be corrected!

6. Buddha said, "A flower is a world, a leaf is a bodhi." Each individual life is a flower that is a world, a leaf that is a bodhi. Everyone does not need to compare themselves with others; they can live as a unique scenery and themselves. Throughout the journey of life between you and me, there is no need to follow the crowd or be overly cautious. On the path that belongs only to you, listen to the deepest part of your heart, start from the depths of your soul, and try your best to walk every step well, to read good books, to make beneficial friends, to do good deeds, to think seriously... Strive to awaken from the slumber, to move forward bravely, to be courageous in exploration, and you will encounter the brilliant sunshine that belongs only to you...

7. Why is it like this?! It is all because, only in the state of "awakening," through the accumulation and addition over a long period of time, along with the沉淀 of years and life experiences, inspiration also comes just at the right moment, and thus, an endless desire for creation is unleashed...

8. Once an individual awakens from "the depths of sleep," the vitality and boundless potential that burst forth from within them, not only surprises those around them greatly, but also dares to disdain the quagmire of fate, look down upon the hardships of life, and walk through the world with a light heart and a relaxed stride!

9. Having walked through the four-and-a-half decades of the spring and autumn seasons, the author personally understands and believes that while "awakening" is indeed a valuable thing, it is not necessary to be constantly awakened. It is enough to achieve "clear-headedness" without necessarily being "awakened." Not everyone who is "clear-headed" can necessarily be labeled as "an awakened person." Moreover, "clear-headedness" and "awakening" are not only not comparable but also cannot be equated with each other.

10. It seems that in the journey of life, there appear to be countless steps, but in reality, there are only a few crucial steps. If one walks the right path, it is a broad avenue with a bright future ahead. However, if one takes the wrong path, makes the wrong decisions, or loves the wrong person, it naturally becomes a matter that causes deep regret and immense heartache, possibly even to the extent that one regrets it to the point of feeling their intestines are turned green with remorse. At this point, no matter how much one may blame oneself, it is already too late and cannot make up for the lost time. As the ancient poem goes, "The days that have passed, yesterday's, cannot be retained; the days that trouble my heart, today's, are filled with worries." Nonetheless, as long as one's soul can awaken, one can find a breakthrough in life, turn the page of yesterday, and in the process of rebirth, discard the old and the bad, embark on a new journey, set sail again, and navigate towards the sun and sunshine of tomorrow. With a brand new life, one can embrace each beautiful day.

11. Moreover, if one were to say that individuals are always in a state of "sleep," never having "awakened," it would lead to a confused mind. Not only would it cause a loss of self, but it would also result in a loss of sense and direction, and even more so, it would lead to the loss of numerous wonderful moments and opportunities in life. Everything in the journey of life, whether good or bad, regardless of quantity or abundance, is susceptible to being lost. There is also another possibility—that the various beauties presented in the present and at the moment would be overlooked and not treated as a matter of importance by him or her.

12. Du Lao Guan, The Knight of the Road (Lu Wei), written on December 17, 2020, Thursday evening.

13. Do not worry about the length of life, that is the matter of the heavens. We just need to embrace every moment of the present with the best state of mind and posture, and do our utmost to experience the beautiful.

14. The essence of life is like a journey; the value of the journey lies in the beautiful experiences and feelings, and matters such as material wealth, fame, fortune, and others' opinions are all irrelevant. If a person attaches too much importance to things outside themselves, it's as if on the road of life, wanting this and that, which only leads to their own exhaustion, both physically and mentally, and carrying a heavy burden as they move forward.

15. We come into this world not to be above others, nor to possess anything.

16. Only by letting go of attachment to external things, embracing the world with a joyful attitude, being content with what we have, and adapting to whatever comes our way, can we truly feel the beauty of this wonderful world.

17. The key is whether this dream is a beautiful one or a nightmare. If it's a nightmare, it will make you feel scared and shaken for ten minutes. Therefore, for life, experiencing the beauty of life is the most crucial, and feeling the splendor of life is the most important. Every day that goes by without dancing is a betrayal of life.

18. In the vast world, people of all kinds come and go, each with their own unique way of thinking and lifestyle. One does not need to live and behave according to the rules set by others. It is enough to be sincere in doing what is right, avoiding illegal acts, actions that go against one's conscience, and those that violate moral principles. When dealing with others, one does not need to impose one's own standards on everyone else. If one were to truly act in such a manner and constantly find fault with others, it can only indicate that one's jealousy and nitpicking are at play, leading to a descent into despair. Over time, this habit becomes natural, and friends, relatives, and colleagues around you will leave one by one, leaving you and me as solitary individuals!

19. The journey of life is only once, and it is impossible for us to come back for a second try. No matter how long or short an individual's journey may be, everyone will face confusion at some point in their life's journey and will摸索着前行 in the midst of it. However, some people spend their entire lives in a state of confusion and bewilderment. Yet, there are those who, although they may also be in a state of confusion, will naturally wake up in no time, keeping a clear mind to choose the right and suitable direction, making life more fulfilling and valuable!

20. Camus once said, "In fact, life is not worth living to such an extent. It doesn't matter whether one dies at the age of thirty or seventy, because in any case, there will always be others who will continue to live for thousands and millions of years, whether it's now or in the next twenty years; it's always the same 'I' who dies."

21. Once the withered little grass is awakened by the spring maiden, not only will it turn lush and green, but it will also burst forth with vitality; once the seed is awakened, even though it is still a tender seedling in the beginning, it can still push aside the obstacles of stones and grow robustly; once the lion is awakened, its lazy body can scare away the disdainful enemies...

22. The fame and fortune you pursue are but fleeting clouds, and the fame, fortune, and money you care about are as empty and illusionary as a dream. All things in this world are not brought by birth and not taken by death; you only have a limited right to use them, never owning them. There is no road that must be taken, no goal that must be achieved. The best state for a person is to live well, to be at ease with the flow of circumstances, to be content with what one has, and to be at peace with whatever comes one's way.

23. If it is said that you and I, who have come into this world for a journey, regardless of the length or brevity of time, are like a voyage through life, then the journey of life is a continuous process of "awakening."

24. Throughout the entire journey of life between you and me, it is natural to experience countless "troubles," "ups and downs," "storms and winds," "ups and downs," the "eight sufferings" ... and even some love and hate stories in the secular world... As an ancient poem goes, "A thousand feet of white hair, the cause of sorrow is as long. I do not know where the autumn frost comes from in the mirror." A thought can lead to heaven, and another can lead to hell. If you and I can see through and think through all things, and still manage to be at peace with them, then we will believe that life clearly offers us sunshine and charming beauty, and it is everywhere, all around us. And if, for some reason, we can't seem to understand or let go, then we will feel that life clearly offers us a clouded sky and darkness, and it is everywhere. For anyone who is awake, neither happiness in material things nor sadness in oneself, but rather someone who is very transparent in life, they or she will "not take it to heart," and they will cast all the bad experiences they encounter in life into the distant sky. They will only keep the good parts deep in their hearts and memories, and they will embrace the beauty, joy, and happiness they have felt closely.

25. If one can control one's own inner self, one can control one's own life and destiny. As long as you don't care, no force can harm you, and as long as you don't count, no one can exhaust you.

26. When the heart remains still, the entire world remains still. If the heart is at peace, the whole world blossoms with spring warmth and flowers. If the heart is radiant, your entire life will be beautiful as a song.

27. The reason why some people "refuse to be in a state of enlightenment" throughout their journey in life is because, deep down, such individuals have a kind of bondage that confines their souls. It's not just a common bondage of their souls; it's a complete and airtight wrapping, making them unwilling to open their souls or reveal even a sliver of their hearts. They are afraid that if they open their souls and reveal a part of themselves, they will lose everything. Little do they know that once life and soul are awakened together, all things will become as fleeting as clouds. What is yours will be yours, and if it is not, no matter how hard you try to force it, even if you manage to obtain it, it will not stay and will inevitably slip through your fingers at some point. They or she have two life mantras. The first is: let all things be as they should be and let fate decide; the second is: "What is in your destiny will come to be, and what is not, do not strive for."

28. The Venerable Master Hongyi once said: "Life is but thirty thousand days, merely borrowing a body. There is no eternal life; when the time comes, the elderly will become old, and those who should leave will depart. In the end, there will be nothing but emptiness, neither you nor I, and nothing to take away. We are all guests of time. Why hold onto attachments? After making an effort, let the gains and losses be subject to fate, and be at ease following your heart."

29. Because, if a person is always in a state of "awakening," it would leave no moment of rest for life, and even their soul would not find any relaxation. Just like an archer's bow, no matter how excellent the bow is, it would naturally break if it is stretched too tightly for too long. Similarly, if a person stays in a state of tension for a long time, they would also collapse and disintegrate. Therefore, the principle of alternation between tension and relaxation is the true way of both culture and martial arts!

30. Here at the end of the article, the author would like to reiterate once again: "The journey of life is one of continuous awakening." And it is a repeated, cyclic, and successive process of awakening. It is about constantly awakening "while moving forward" and then "moving forward while continuously awakening," and these two are mutually supportive and intertwined. "This awakening" requires three stages to achieve: the first is "the awakening of life"; the second is "the awakening of the self"; and the third is "the awakening from the depths of the soul." Moreover, these three awakenings are progressive in nature; without the first awakening, the subsequent awakenings would not be possible!

31. Many articles teach us how to prolong our lives, but in fact, the length of life is not important. Whether a person dies at the age of 30 or at the age of 70, there is no fundamental difference. Just like a dream you have, a one-hour dream is no different from a five-hour dream.

32. When waterfalls pour down from above, they touch the soul of a poet, inspiring them to write timeless poems such as "The water falls straight down for three thousand feet, resembling the Milky Way descending from the heavens." When a meteor crosses the sky, it touches the heart of a literati, leading them to pen lines like, "They say that meteors grant wishes, and I am willing to stay beneath the starry sky, waiting for a star to move me deeply, slicing through the sky, carrying my blessings to rest beside your pillow." When countless birds sing joyfully in the forest, they touch the soul of a composer, leading them to write joyful and exuberant music, 'The Birds Gather to the Phoenix,' delighting anyone who enjoys folk music immensely...

33. Anyone who can awaken from "the slumber of dreams" will undoubtedly feel the confusion and uncertainty of the long journey of life ahead, but they can quickly adjust themselves. This is because they deeply understand and know that the various problems, fluctuations, difficulties, and mists in front of them are only temporary and there are always paths to take. One must never be shortsighted and unable to see the big picture, nor should one become a frog in a well, as that would be completely futile. As long as one dares to cross this threshold, to navigate through the thick fog and dispel the heavy clouds, at the turning points of the peaks and valleys, there will always be a bright path extending beneath their feet. There will always be a day when the clouds clear and the fog dissipates.

34. Only when a person consistently maintains a "clear" mind and is in a state of "awakening," will they discover the various pureness and beauty in the journey of life. Life is so rich and colorful, and they will also cherish the people, things, and emotions around them and possess.
