16. The main reason why South Africa's military technology is relatively advanced is that South Africa is the only African country with a predominantly European-descended white population. The European-descended whites have implemented capitalism early on, which has greatly improved the cultural quality of the population. The white immigrants who came to South Africa during the colonial era inherited these excellent qualities. Therefore, from a humanistic perspective, South Africa is similar to Western and European countries, and it is much higher in starting point compared to other African countries.
