In the noisy world, the greatest clarity is to remember the past without forgetting, and not to anticipate the future.
1. Not worrying about the future and not being anxious about things that have not yet happened can remove many obstacles in life.
2. Luo Zhenyu, the founder of Luojishui, once told an example. If you draw a 50-centimeter wide and 5-meter long passage on the ground and ask people to walk through it, there would be no problem. However, if both sides are cliffs, can you still walk through? Many people can't, because they are thinking about what will happen in the future and how they will fall down. In fact, the 50-centimeter width is enough for you to walk a long distance without falling. The reason why you can't walk through is because you are overthinking.
3. If one always tortures the present with past regrets and sacrifices it for the future, then the present loses all value, and our entire life loses all value as well.
4. People and events from the past have faded from the reality of life. There is no need to worry, entangle, or resent. Let go in time, clear the past, and only then can one walk through life with ease and freedom, without any hindrance.
5. Lin Qingxuan said, "It is only when we live in the present moment that we can sever the worries of the past and the fears of the future. It is only when we sever the worries of the past and the fears of the future that we can attain true freedom."
6. Dreams are composed of solid steps in each "now," not a one-step leap, nor are they constantly dreamlike images in the mind.
7. The journey of life is composed of one moment after another.
8. All that has passed is but the prologue.
9. When you're hungry, eat; when you're tired, sleep. Set aside all distractions and focus on the present moment's delicious food and beautiful dreams. Only then can eating be enjoyable and sleeping sweet. If you keep thinking about other things, you'll disrupt the present moment, and life will lose its charm.
10. The human heart is no bigger than a fist, yet if it's filled with the worries of the past, how can one live well in the present? Let bygones be bygones, keep the mind unburdened, and march forward light-hearted and carefree.
11. If one thinks too much and does too little, even the most beautiful dreams are mere imaginings in the realm of daydreams, like the mirages floating in the sky, which we can never reach.
12. The past has already died in time. If we nitpick about it, we are only entangled and wasting ourselves. It serves no other purpose but to make us more upset.
13. Don't overthink things that haven't happened; it's just a waste of mental energy. Focusing on taking firm steps on the path in front of you is the most important thing.
14. In the remaining years, discard all杂念 and idle daydreams, forget all kinds of worries, and live with all your might. Living with a light cloud and a gentle breeze is the most beautiful gift to oneself, and the greatest clarity in life.
15. Free translation: The past is history, and we have no power to turn back time, rewrite history, so if we miss an opportunity, it's a missed chance. It's all in the past. Let's remember the lessons, avoid repeating past mistakes, don't be attached to the past, live well in the present, and grasp the moment.
16. Three beggars were huddled in the street corner. One said, "I used to be a millionaire, but for the failure of my investments, how could I have fallen to this state." Another said, "If I can find a gold coin tomorrow, I can start anew." The third one said nothing; he quietly went out to look for food. The next morning, the first two beggars starved to death, only the third one survived.
17. This past incident has tormented Mai Jia for twenty years, preventing him from feeling the warmth of parental love and the happiness of a harmonious parent-child relationship, and has caused him serious spiritual internal consumption.
18. If one always spends time in imagining the future, one will eventually achieve nothing.
19. This story tells us that we should not dwell on the past, nor rush to meet the future; the present moment is the most real, reliable, and vivid existence.
20. Living in the present is the truest days, within reach, warm to the touch, and close to the eye.

21. This matter has been on Mai Jia's mind all these years, and for twenty years, he has not spoken a word to his father. When he himself became a father and understood the difficulties of raising children, he wanted to reconcile with his father, but his father had already developed dementia and could not recognize him as his son.
22. Do not dwell on the past, do not anticipate the future. Spend time in the present, live a fulfilling, beautiful, and happy life, and you will not regret your life.
23. Do not worry about things that have not yet arrived, and live well in the present moment. Only then can you maintain a peaceful and tranquil life, and enjoy the warmth of spring and the blooming of flowers.
24. Having dreams is good, but being obsessed with dreams is bad.
25. To treat every minute and second of the present with openness and seriousness, to make it vivid, brilliant, and warm, is truly what makes life on earth worthwhile.
26. Not to dwell on the past and not to trouble oneself with past events can reduce the burden and consumption.
27. As Professor Chen Guo from Fudan University said, "What has never come is called the future. What is real and tangible is the present, the now."
28. Someone asked the monk how to practice Buddhism, and the monk replied, "When you're hungry, eat; when you're tired, sleep." The person said, "Isn't that the same as us?" The monk shook his head, "No! Ordinary people don't eat properly when they eat, and they have all kinds of thoughts; they don't sleep properly when they sleep, and they have a thousand kinds of delusions. They are either entangled by past events or worried about future matters."
29. Focus on the present, walk well on the path before you, do your handwork well, cherish those around you, and life will naturally bring unexpected wonders.
