1. 月满则亏,水满则溢。

20. 唐朝娄师德,在当上宰相的第一时间,不是高兴,而是担忧。他找来管家的弟弟,说,我们现在权势大了,更应该谦逊待人。假如有人唾你,你怎么办?

26. 《道德经》说:“天以其无私邪?故能成其私。”一个人越是不贪图功劳,越能成全自己。相反,贪图功劳,无视别人的利益,甚至狂妄自大,目中无人,最后一定没有善果。

31. 人在低谷时,努力最重要,因为你不管怎么走,都是向上。而在高峰时,小心最重要,因为周边都是陡坡和悬崖。

31. When one is at a low point, effort is most important, because no matter how you go, it's always upwards. And when at a peak, caution is most important, as the surroundings are filled with steep slopes and cliffs.

32. 怀着一颗感恩的心,珍惜自己的福分,慎用手中的权势,不贪诱人的功劳,小心处世,谦逊待人,才能让自己福泽长久,幸福平安。

32. With a grateful heart, cherish your blessings, exercise caution with the power in your hands, do not be enticed by tempting achievements, behave carefully in society, and treat others with modesty. Only then can you ensure that your blessings last long and lead to happiness and peace.

33. 有福,有势,有功,都是上天最隆重的赐予。有所节制,虔诚感恩,是对待它们最好的态度。

33. To be blessed, to be powerful, and to be successful are the most solemn blessings bestowed by heaven. Moderation and gratitude are the best attitudes to adopt towards them.
