1. 月满则亏，水满则溢。

4. 不能骄恣狂妄，放纵邪侈，否则会泄耗自己的福报，自食恶果。

5. 老子说：“祸兮福所倚，福兮祸所伏。”

6. 福祸之间，相互依存转化。祸尽则福来，福尽则祸至。

7. 一个人即便修得荣华富贵，过上花团锦簇，烈火烹油的生活，如果不懂得感恩惜福，约束自己，最后将会在纵欲之中，将福气消耗殆尽。

8. 杜牧的《阿房宫赋》中，王公贵族们仗着自己出身高贵，养尊处优，在阿房宫中过着骄奢淫逸，极度奢靡的生活。

9. “鼎铛玉石，金块珠砾，弃掷逦迤，秦人视之，亦不甚惜。”

10. 把宝鼎当作铁锅，把美玉当作石头，把黄金当作土块，把珍珠当作沙砾，随意乱扔，恣肆挥霍，一点都不爱惜。

10. Treat the treasure jar as an iron pot, the jade as a stone, the gold as a chunk of earth, and the pearls as sand and gravel, throwing them away carelessly, squandering them wantonly, without the slightest regard for them.

11. 正是这样毫无节制的沉迷享乐，让秦帝国政事懈怠，元气耗损，精神麻痹，最后在各地起义的呐喊声中轰然倒地，亡国亡家。

12. 大千世界，一切皆有定数。你所获得的福气，也是有定数的。用尽了，透支了，就没有了，接着而来的是不幸和灾难。

12. In the vast world, everything is predetermined. The blessings you receive also have their predetermined number. Once they are exhausted and overdrawn, they are gone, and what follows is misfortune and disaster.

13. 《道德经》说：“见素抱朴，少私寡欲。”怀一个朴素而诚恳的心，能够过简单自足的生活，不要在欲望的追逐和堆垒中，自堕深渊。惜福，节制，才是对福气最好的态度。

13. The Tao Te Ching says: "See simplicity and hold it close, have few desires and less desires." Possessing a simple and sincere heart can lead to a life of simplicity and contentment. Do not fall into a deep abyss by chasing and accumulating desires. Gratitude and moderation are the best attitudes towards fortune.

14. 《红楼梦》说：“眼看他起高楼，眼看他宴宾客，眼看他楼塌了。”

15. 再大的权势，再多的荣华，如果不懂得谦虚谨慎，而是骄纵狂妄，胡作非为，就会成为众矢之的，万劫不复。

15. No matter how great the power or how abundant the wealth, if one does not understand modesty and caution but instead behaves with arrogance and recklessness, causing chaos, they will become the target of everyone and face endless misfortune.

16. 古人说：“其兴也勃焉，其亡也忽焉。”兴盛的时候，炙手可热，不可一世。而灭亡的时候，也像摧枯拉朽，迅疾如雷。

16. The ancients said: "Its rise is vigorous, and its fall is sudden." In its flourishing period, it is so popular and powerful that it seems to be unparalleled. And in its time of decline, it collapses like a rotten tree, swift as thunder.

17. 《红楼梦》里的贾家，是贾史王薛四大家族的魁首，世袭公爵，手眼通天，繁荣鼎盛。然而，贾府中人却不能安分守己，他们干预司法，制造冤案，帮助打死人命的薛蟠逃离法网。为了收银子，弄权铁槛寺，害死无辜的人。总之，对外做恶，对内淫乱，罪行累累。

17. The Jia family in "Dream of the Red Chamber" is the leader of the four great families of Jia, Shi, Wang, and Xue, holding the hereditary title of Duke. In summary, they commit crimes against the outside world and indulge in licentiousness within the family, accumulating numerous crimes.

18. 后来，贾府被查抄，大厦倾颓，家人离散，极尽悲惨。

19. 越在高峰，越是危险重重，稍一失足，就会掉下深渊。如果能存一份谨慎，则事不坏。如果守一份谦虚，则人不怨。

19. The higher the peak, the more dangerous it is; with even a slight misstep, one might fall into a deep abyss. If one can maintain a sense of caution, then things will not go awry. And if one maintains a spirit of modesty, then people will not harbor resentment.

20. 唐朝娄师德，在当上宰相的第一时间，不是高兴，而是担忧。他找来管家的弟弟，说，我们现在权势大了，更应该谦逊待人。假如有人唾你，你怎么办？

21. 弟弟说，我既不动手，也不动口，自己擦干唾沫离开，可以了吧。

22. 娄师德说，这怎么行，别人还是以为你心存怨气。你应该保持微笑，让脸上的唾沫自行干掉。

23. 这就是历史上“唾面自干”的典故。

24. 得意不可忘形，有权不能任性。一旦得势，更要有清醒的头脑，敬畏的纲纪，谦和的态度，一定不能自以为是，自取其祸。

24. Do not forget your humility when you are pleased, and do not act arbitrarily when you have power. Once you gain influence, you must have a clear mind, a respectful sense of discipline, and a modest attitude. You must never be self-righteous or seek misfortune for yourself.

25. 天不贪功，自成其高。地不贪功，自成其厚。人不贪功，自成境界。

25. The sky does not seek recognition for its achievements, and thus it achieves its height. The earth does not seek recognition for its achievements, and thus it achieves its thickness. A person does not seek recognition for his achievements, and thus he achieves a realm of his own.

26. 《道德经》说：“天以其无私邪？故能成其私。”一个人越是不贪图功劳，越能成全自己。相反，贪图功劳，无视别人的利益，甚至狂妄自大，目中无人，最后一定没有善果。

26. The Tao Te Ching says: "Is it because heaven is无私吗? Hence, it can achieve its own ends." The less a person desires recognition for his achievements, the more he can accomplish for himself. Conversely, if one seeks recognition for his achievements, ignores the interests of others, and even becomes proud and self-righteous, disregarding others, he will certainly not reap a good outcome in the end.

27. 曾国藩率领湘军攻下军事重镇安庆，耗费了大量军力财力，更是自己和手下官员辛勤努力的结果。然而，在给朝廷上奏的时候，他却把指挥作战的功劳，让给了胡林翼。把运筹帷幄之功，让给了满族权贵多隆阿。

27. Zeng Guofan led the Xiang Army to capture the strategically important city of Anqing, which required a substantial expenditure of military and financial resources, and was also the result of his own and his subordinates' hard work and diligence. However, when reporting to the imperial court, he attributed the credit for commanding the battle to Hu Linyi, and the credit for strategic planning to the Manchu nobleman Duanlonga.

30. 在打拼事业的路上，我们都渴望建立功劳，来证明自己。然而，太贪功，就容易找到上级的猜疑，同事的妒忌，下属的怨恨。懂得让渡功劳，利益他人，是一种智慧的做法。

30. On the path of struggling for a career, we all aspire to establish achievements to prove ourselves. However, being overly greedy for recognition can easily attract the suspicion of superiors, the envy of colleagues, and the resentment of subordinates. Knowing how to give up credit and benefit others is a wise approach.

31. 人在低谷时，努力最重要，因为你不管怎么走，都是向上。而在高峰时，小心最重要，因为周边都是陡坡和悬崖。

31. When one is at a low point, effort is most important, because no matter how you go, it's always upwards. And when at a peak, caution is most important, as the surroundings are filled with steep slopes and cliffs.

32. 怀着一颗感恩的心，珍惜自己的福分，慎用手中的权势，不贪诱人的功劳，小心处世，谦逊待人，才能让自己福泽长久，幸福平安。

32. With a grateful heart, cherish your blessings, exercise caution with the power in your hands, do not be enticed by tempting achievements, behave carefully in society, and treat others with modesty. Only then can you ensure that your blessings last long and lead to happiness and peace.

33. 有福，有势，有功，都是上天最隆重的赐予。有所节制，虔诚感恩，是对待它们最好的态度。

33. To be blessed, to be powerful, and to be successful are the most solemn blessings bestowed by heaven. Moderation and gratitude are the best attitudes to adopt towards them.
