Philosophy of Life: The highest境界 is when the flowers have not fully bloomed and the moon is not yet round.

1. The Yellow Mountains, with their numerous peaks and valleys, are engulfed in a sea of clouds and snow waves. The mountains serve as the body, while the clouds are their clothing, and the peculiar peaks, strange rocks, and ancient pine trees emerge and vanish amidst the sea of clouds, adding to their aesthetic appeal. The name "beautiful, magnificent, strange, and fantastic" has gained fame through the ages. With the sun shining, the clouds become even whiter, the pines greener, and the rocks more striking. Floating clouds scatter among the peaks, coming and going, changing in ways that are unpredictable. When the sea is calm and the waves are still, the sea of clouds spreads over ten thousand acres, as smooth as a mirror, reflecting the mountains' shadows like a painting. In the distance, the sky is high and the sea is vast, the peaks appearing as small boats gently rocking. Closer by, it seems as if you could reach out and touch them, prompting one to scoop up a handful of clouds to feel their gentle texture. Suddenly, the wind picks up, clouds surge, waves roll, surging like tides, vast and grandiose. There are also waterfalls that rush down, white waves crashing, and surging waves pounding the shore, as if a thousand soldiers and horses are sweeping over the peaks. As the gentle breeze sweeps through, the clouds gradually disperse; in the lighter areas, a ray of sunlight洒金绘彩, while in the heavier areas, the rising and falling clouds vanish in an instant. The sunrise and sunset over the sea of clouds are adorned with tens of thousands of rays of light, colorful and resplendent. It is truly the case that "when the sea reaches its end, the sky is the shore; when I reach the summit of the mountain, I am the peak!"

14. The best time in life is not the beauty of youth in one's twenties, but the fresh and tender innocence of being in one's teens, around fifteen or sixteen years old. At this age, we have not been contaminated by the world's trivialities, we still retain our childlike purity, and we still have room for growth. The essence lies in the "empty space" in our hearts.

17. In dealing with others, be neither too reserved nor overly boastful; in life, seek neither flamboyant luxury nor a life of simple living and plain fare.

18. The beauty lies in the flowers that have not fully bloomed, and the best time is when the moon is not yet perfectly round. It is only at this moment: the wine is slightly tipsy, the people slightly drunk, half of the mountain shrouded in mist, and half in the city, life is filled with joy, the heavens and earth leave behind their charm, and this sentiment and meaning are the most lingering.

19. Zen Buddhism has a concept called "the flower not fully blooming and the moon not fully round." This means that the best time is when the flower has not fully bloomed and the moon has not reached its full round. In "The Heart of Confucian Analects," teacher Yu Dan also says, "Once the flower is fully bloomed, it will soon wither; once the moon is fully round, it will soon become damaged. But when it is not fully bloomed and not fully round, it still leaves your heart with anticipation and yearning." Because at this time, there is room for anticipation and change. Once the flower blooms and the moon is full, the outcome is predetermined, and the result will inevitably be the withering of the flower and the damage to the moon. It is often said that "the moon is roundest on the sixteenth day after the full moon," yet people always mark the full moon on the fifteenth day and choose festivals accordingly, not on the sixteenth. Because this is the best state of all things in nature, as well as the best moment of life's artistic conception. "The flower not fully blooming and the moon not fully round" is the time of the best artistic conception. Therefore, everything needs a certain distance and a certain measure. This "measure" is what we need for "negative space."
