1. 放下对名利的执着，如果老天要给你，你就接着。如果老天不想给你，你也不要强求。万般都是命，半点不由人。相信一切都是最好的安排。

1. Let go of your attachment to fame and wealth. If heaven wishes to give them to you, accept them. If heaven doesn't wish to give them to you, don't force it. Everything is predestined; not a single thing is up to human control. Believe that everything is the best arrangement.

2. 一个人不管你混成什么样子，有钱没钱，成功失败，被人喜欢或者厌恶，最后的归宿都是死亡。

In order to vie for fame and fortune, rise above others, return home in triumph, not only do they exhaust their own efforts and vitality, but also engage in intricate schemes, deceit, and cunning to eliminate anyone who stands in their way. In the end, even when they possess mountains of gold and seas of silver, they remain restless and uneasy amidst the treacherous and intricate struggles.

12. 住持回答道：贫僧只看到两个人，一个是名，一个是利。

12. The abbot replied: "I only see two people, one for fame and one for profit."

13. 人生无常，生死未卜，一切都由不得我们掌握。我们能做的，就是认真过好每一个当下，让自己的日子活色生香，翩翩起舞。

13. Life is unpredictable, with uncertain fate of life and death, and everything is not within our control. What we can do is to seriously enjoy every moment, make our days colorful and vibrant, and dance gracefully.

14. 对于感情，请放下执着，顺其自然。该来的，让它来。该走的，送它走。

14. Regarding emotions, let go of your attachments and let nature take its course. What should come, let it come. What should leave, let it go.

15. 如果一个人用情太深，太广，太多，就容易深陷情网，把自己逼到死角。

16. Life is like a train heading towards the grave, passing through many stations where some get on and others get off. We warmly welcome those who board the train into our lives, and offer our blessings to those who alight and leave us.

17. 人这辈子，不过人间过客，借副皮囊而已。何必为了身外之物耿耿于怀，缠斗不休。别人怎么争，怎么活，怎么看，那是别人的事。自己应该活出属于自己的样子，按照自己喜欢的方式度过一生。

17. In this life, people are just passersby in the human world, merely borrowing a body. Why worry and struggle endlessly over things outside of oneself? How others fight, live, and view things is their own business. One should live out one's own unique way and spend one's life in the way one likes.

18. 人生自是有情痴，此恨不关风与月。

18. Life naturally has its foolish passions, but this sorrow has nothing to do with the wind and the moon.

19. 千古艰难唯一死。提起死亡，尤其是想到自己要死亡，我们就忌讳，害怕，手足无措。

20. 乾隆皇帝下江南，到镇江金山寺游玩，见人山人海，络绎不绝，就问陪同的住持说：怎么会有这么多人？

20. Emperor Qianlong traveled to the South of the Yangtze River and visited the Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang. Upon seeing the crowds of people, endless and bustling, he asked the abbot accompanying him, "How is it that there are so many people here?"

23. 一切生命都要回归尘土，没有人可以置身其外。我们要心平气和地面对，认真活，随便死，当死则死，何惧之有？

23. All life must return to the dust, and no one can be an exception. We should face it calmly, live seriously, and die casually. When it's time to die, what is there to fear?
