In the vast universe, life is like a grain of dust, seeking its own optimal environment for survival. Seeking tranquility and far-reaching goals, we embark on a journey of exploration, just to find that land which nourishes life.

1. There is no trouble in the world, but the foolish ones make it themselves. Perhaps I am just one of those foolish ones. Why should I seek tranquility? It's because I want to hope for peace, especially during these extraordinary and difficult days of the year. I have reflected and reflected again. Most of the time, I don't even understand what I am doing. Life's various aspects always stir people's thoughts on certain days. When it comes to seeking tranquility, everyone hopes to have that moment. For me, this feeling may be even stronger during moments of solitude, but that is not absolute. Sometimes, although people are in a noisy and chaotic environment, their hearts have already soared to an unknown realm. As for me, who often smile on the surface, my inner tranquility has already seen through and understood all the trivial matters.

2. Just add a few good dishes. Whenever it's late at night and quiet, I always feel the urge to seek a moment of tranquility, to find a space for solitude, and then let my thoughts drift away with the wind. In the quietude of daydreaming, I temporarily escape. When the soul can no longer bear the burden of life, it can only send signals of fatigue to the sky, for it's just too tired. This feeling of fatigue is not something that an ordinary person can imagine. Every day, I want my soul to find a moment of tranquility, but it's truly difficult.

3. Suddenly looking back, life is just a predestined journey. Do not struggle against fate; to live in harmony with the world is the best attitude towards life.

4. Humans are too small, and life is too short. If I were to spend most of my energy chasing fame and wealth, I would overlook many wonderful things, such as sincere friendships, breathtaking landscapes, elegant and moving poems and songs, and refreshing fine wines and delicacies.

5. Su Dongpo wrote a poem titled "Man Ting Fang," which is very sensible:

6. Once a person falls into the quagmire of desire, they will do things against their conscience, torturing their own inner self, and may also cause distress and harm to others. If you strive for fame and wealth, you have to calculate others, and cunningly make others provide you with channels and value. The fame and wealth you acquire are so insignificant compared to the beauty you lose, and it's a loss for the sake of a gain.

7. Be more open-minded, less attached, simpler, and more oblivious; only then can you live a happy and carefree life in this world.

8. When you are old, you suddenly look back and realize that struggling all your life for fame and profit is really not worth it. Let go of your attachment to fame and profit, listen to the voice within, and live a carefree life for a century – this is the best way to account for your life.

9. Life is but a great dream, and how many autumns have cooled the heart of humanity.

10. There is a good couplet in "Dream of the Red Chamber": "Even if there are a thousand years of iron gates, in the end, one must face a dirt-filled bun."

11. The iron threshold is a standard feature of noble families, a symbol of prosperity and wealth. "Soil dumpling" refers to a pile of small earthen tombs. The meaning is, no matter how big your fortune or how much honor and wealth you have, in the end, you will die and become a soil dumpling.

12. Often, the drive to seek tranquility is much greater than the power evoked by any external thing. In the process of pursuing tranquility, each person may also experience a journey of continuous improvement. Why is that? I asked myself with a smile. For a person truly integrated into life, there is a sense of wonder at the wonders of the world's creation. There is an inner respect and concern for life and nature, which is a sincere sense of gratitude and admiration.

13. In fact, we have already seen the script of life. The reason why we still choose to come to this world is because there are things worth it. With the blooming and wilting of flowers, the rising and setting of the sun and the moon, the spring flowers and autumn moon, the clear waters and blue sky, all the beauty is worth experiencing, and all the happiness is worth treasuring in memory.

14. All your experiences are but a dream. The people you meet are just connections. The things you encounter are merely experiences.

15. Never take it seriously, just like you wouldn't take your own dreams seriously.

16. It means, what is there to be busy about for a trivial fame and meager profit? The gains and losses of fame and fortune are subject to causes and conditions. The ones who gain are not necessarily strong, and the ones who lose are not necessarily weak. Make the most of your leisurely life before it is too late, cast off the restraints, indulge in yourself, and enjoy a carefree life. Even if I only have a hundred years, I would be willing to get drunk for thirty-six thousand times.

17. No matter how much a person calculates, they can't outwit the vast sky and endless heavens.

18. We always think that there are many paths for us to choose in life, but in reality, we have no choice. When you reach a crossroads, your conditions, circumstances, and reason determine that you have no choice but to make such a decision.

19. From the day of their birth, people are destined to be accompanied by emotions throughout their lives and the dissatisfaction of life. Fate is predetermined, and in order to change one's own destiny, one must resist all misfortunes and difficulties. Choosing appropriate avoidance is just futile effort. Sometimes, the avoidance might only last for a minute, or perhaps only bring a minute of tranquility. Maybe in that tranquility, one suddenly gains an insight: people cannot live too exhausted. I often comfort myself this way.

20. "A hollow reputation from the snail's horn, a tiny profit from the fly's head, when you think about it, what is there to be busy about? Everything is predetermined, who is weak and who is strong. Let's make the most of our leisure while we're still young, let me indulge in a bit of recklessness. In a hundred years, let me be drunk all the time, for thirty-six thousand occasions."

21. People sometimes pretend to be recluses of the world, but in reality, that is not the case. All these appearances are the result of countless struggles and setbacks, followed by a phase of reflection. Without genuine excitement over real benefits, without a truly heartfelt reverence for life and nature, without a sense of gratitude and appreciation for life and the world, without that clear understanding, without a kind and sensitive heart, there is no final enlightenment, nor is there that natural calmness and transcendence that emanates spontaneously.

22. Liang Xiaosheng said in "The World of People": "From the moment you are born, what bowl you hold, what kind of food you eat, what experiences you have, when and with whom you get married, are all predetermined. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, just go with the flow, and it's good. You have already seen the script of life in heaven. The reason why you choose this script is because there are things in this life that you think are worth it."

23. Everything is under the control of the heavens. Your lifespan, destiny, and insight are all tailor-made for you by the heavens. Your current situation, experiences, and thoughts are all arranged by the will of heaven.
