1. 世事洞明皆学问,人情练达即文章。

1. Understanding the world is all about knowledge, and being skilled in human relations is the essence of literature.

2. 一分钟就看透事物本质的人,和一辈子也看不透事物本质的人,注定是截然不同的两种命运。

2. Those who can discern the essence of things in one minute and those who cannot see through the essence of things throughout their lives are destined for two completely different fates.

3. 这个弱肉强食的世界上,你不坐在餐桌上,就会出现在菜单上。你不能很好的追求和实现自己的利益,就会被别人压榨利益。你不能取得超过别人的优势,就会被别人看不起,从而失去了平等交往的权利。

3. In this world where the strong prey on the weak, if you don't sit at the dining table, you will appear on the menu. If you cannot pursue and achieve your own interests effectively, you will be exploited by others. If you cannot gain an advantage over others, you will be looked down upon, thereby losing the right to equal interaction.

4. 当然,我们不能在工作中消耗自己的全部精力和时间,与此同时,学会享受生活,适当的悠闲是对生命的有效调整和放松。

4. Of course, we cannot耗尽 all our energy and time in work. At the same time, learning to enjoy life and having appropriate leisure is an effective adjustment and relaxation for life.

5. ​一个男人,就算不抽烟,不喝酒,不打牌,没外遇,如果赚不到钱,不要说好男人,连个好人都算不上。

5. A man, even if he doesn't smoke, drink, or gamble, and has no affairs, is not even considered a good person if he can't make money, let alone a good man.

6. 这些鬼神,就像当今总统的侍卫,你到哪里,他们就跟到哪里。但是,这些护法神的数量是有增减的,当一个人都做坏事时,那护法神就会一个个离去。一个人如果都做好事,那护法神就会越来越多。

6. These spirits and deities, just like the bodyguards of the current president, follow you wherever you go. However, the number of these protective deities can increase or decrease. When everyone does bad things, these protective deities will leave one by one. If everyone does good things, the number of protective deities will increase.

7. ​慈不带兵、义不经商;情不立事,善不为官。刚柔兼济是人生的必修课,恩威并施是领导的铁布衫。”

7. Compassion does not lead soldiers, righteousness does not engage in commerce; emotion does not establish business, and goodness does not serve as an official. The combination of toughness and gentleness is a mandatory course in life, and the application of both benevolence and authority is the iron armor of leadership."

8. 相关佛教故事:法相宗祖师窥基大师,他是玄奘大师的学生,也是位了不起人物。有一天窥基大师经过终南山,顺道拜访道宣律师,道宣律师听到这个消息很欢喜。窥基大师学问好,讲经说法一流,但是戒律不严,他以为窥基大师对於戒律疏忽,不太重视,所以他想以天人送供养来感化窥基大师。哪里知道谈话过了中午,也没有人送饭给他们吃。到第二天中午天人又按时送供养来了,道宣律师就问:「昨天中午你为什麼没有送供养来」天神说:「昨天有大乘菩萨在山上,满山都是护法神,我进不来。」道宣律师听了冒一身冷汗,生惭愧心,知道自己错了,小看了别人,高抬了自己。

8. Related Buddhist Story: Master Kuiji, the founder of the Huayan School of Buddhism, was a student of Master Xuanzang and an extraordinary personage. One day, as Master Kuiji passed through Zhong南山, he made a detour to visit the Dharma Master Daoxuan. When Daoxuan heard the news, he was overjoyed. Master Kuiji was excellent in scholarship and in expounding the Dharma, but he was not strict in observing the precepts. He thought that Master Kuiji neglected the precepts and did not place much importance on them, so he wanted to use the heavenly offerings to transform Master Kuiji's mindset. However, by noon, no one had brought them food. The next noon, the celestial beings brought the offerings as usual, and Daoxuan asked, "Why didn't you bring the offerings yesterday noon?" The deity replied, "Yesterday, there was a great bodhisattva on the mountain, and the entire mountain was filled with protective deities, and I couldn't get in." Upon hearing this, Daoxuan broke out in a cold sweat, feeling ashamed and realizing that he had been wrong to undervalue others and overestimate himself.

9. 刘震云说:“强者三妻四妾,却教育弱者万恶淫为首;强者纸醉金迷,却教育弱者贫贱不能移;强者巧取豪夺,却教育弱者温良恭俭让。强者好逸恶劳,却教育弱者勤劳致富。”

9. Liu Zhenyun said: "The strong have three wives and four concubines, yet they educate the weak that licentiousness is the root of all evil; the strong are immersed in opulence, yet they educate the weak that poverty and lowliness cannot be changed; the strong cunningly seize and forcibly take, yet they educate the weak to be mild, respectful, modest, and generous. The strong prefer ease and hatred of labor, yet they educate the weak that diligence leads to wealth."

10. 我们为什么需要工作?工作不仅是我们的衣食饭碗,还让我们拥有规律的生活,相对稳定的人际关系,以及在成绩中感受到的价值感和成就感。

10. Why do we need to work? Work is not only our source of livelihood, but it also provides us with a regular lifestyle, relatively stable interpersonal relationships, and a sense of value and achievement derived from accomplishments.

11. 不做闲人,有事做,有人爱,有所期待,就不会胡思乱想,不会无事生非,不会做一些偏离正道的事情。

11. Not to be idle, to have things to do, to be loved by others, and to have expectations, will prevent one from indulging in idle thoughts, from creating trouble for no reason, and from doing things that deviate from the right path.

12. 佛经表示,一个人每持守一戒,就增加五个护法神。依此而算,持守五戒的人最少有二十五个护法神了。

12. The Buddhist scriptures indicate that for every precept a person observes, they gain five protective deities. By this calculation, a person who observes five precepts would have at least twenty-five protective deities.

13. 这个世界上总会有人一本正经的胡说八道,他们占据着大多数利益,却反对大多数人争取自己的利益,他们压榨和奴役着手下人,又戴上伪善的面具,假慈悲。

13. In this world, there will always be people who talk nonsense with a straight face. They occupy the majority of interests, yet they oppose the majority from striving for their own interests. They exploit and enslave their subordinates, and then put on the mask of hypocrisy, feigning kindness.

14. 有的人很优秀,在人际关系中面面俱到,在世事风云中如鱼得水,而有的人很蹩脚,不管如何与人为善,如何知足常乐,总是讨不了四海八荒的喜,还会遭到排斥和厌恶,命运非常凄惨。其中一条重要原因,就是能否用正确的方式自律。

14. Some people are outstanding, being well-rounded in interpersonal relationships and thriving in the vicissitudes of life, while others are clumsy, no matter how kind-hearted or content they are, they can't win the favor of all corners of the world, and they may even face rejection and dislike, leading to a very bleak destiny. One important reason for this is whether they can self-discipline in the correct way.

15. 人本主义心理学家马斯洛认为,自我实现是一个人最顶级的需求。而工作是普通人自我实现的有效方式,好好工作,我们才能活得有盼头,有奔头,有彩头。

15. Humanistic psychologist Abraham Maslow believed that self-actualization is the highest level of human needs. Work is an effective way for ordinary people to achieve self-actualization. Only by working well can we live with hope, ambition, and color.

16. 地闲长荒草,人闲是非多。

16. When the land is idle, it grows long grass; when people are idle, they are full of gossip.

17. 《阿含经》表示,每个人一出生时,就有鬼神随侍左右,但其数量不一,如果是善人,其跟随众可能数百个,甚至是上千个。如果是坏人,也有护法神,但可能数百人、千人才有一个护法神。

17. The Agamas state that at the moment of each person's birth, they are accompanied by spirits, but the number varies. For a good person, their entourage may consist of hundreds, even thousands of spirits. For an evil person, there are also protective deities, but there may be only one protective deity for every few hundred or thousand people.

18. 一个人最好的自律,就是不做好人,不做傻人,不做闲人。

18. The best self-discipline for a person is not to be a good person, not to be a foolish person, and not to be a lazy person.

19. 刘震云说:“好老板,一定不是好人;好人,一定当不了好老板;一个人是不是好人,主要在于别人评价,一个人是不是好人,主要看他能不能搞到钱。

19. Liu Zhenyun said: "A good boss is not necessarily a good person; a good person is not necessarily a good boss; whether a person is good or not mainly depends on others' evaluation, and whether a person is good or not mainly depends on whether they can make money.

20. 余生,不做好人,不做傻人,不做闲人,要努力做一个内心强大,本事强硬,身体强壮之人,追求更高品质的生活。

20. In the remaining years, I will not be a good person, nor a foolish person, nor a lazy person. I will strive to be someone with a strong inner self, a robust skill set, and a sturdy body, and pursue a higher quality of life.

21. 此外,当你在聊天说话时,护法神也常在左右,如果你说的是没用的东西,护法神就会一个个离去。如果你说的是佛法,那护法神就会顺便听听。如果说的很好,那护法神就越围越多。这也可以说,人人的护法神随时都在你左右,这些神明既有保护作用,但也有监督作用,甚至有惩罚作用。这正符合俗话所说的:「人在做,天在看」。

21. Moreover, when you are chatting and speaking, the protective deities are often around you. If what you say is useless, the protective deities will leave one by one. If what you say is about the Dharma, the protective deities will listen in on the side. If what you say is very good, the protective deities will gather around more and more. This can also be said that the protective deities of everyone are always by your side. These deities not only have a protective role but also a supervisory role, and even a punitive role. This is exactly in line with the common saying, "While man is doing, heaven is watching."

22. 我们要不断提升自己的认知能力,拥有独立思考的素质,不要被事物的表象迷惑,不要被别人言之凿凿的语言欺骗。拥有一定的智慧,才可以穿越迷茫,找到正确的人生方向。

22. We must continuously enhance our cognitive abilities, possess the quality of independent thinking, and not be deceived by the superficial appearances of things or by others' persuasive language. Only with a certain degree of wisdom can we navigate through confusion and find the correct path in life.

23. 不要做一个好人,而是要做一个拥有正确价值观的强人,有一定的善良,也绝不软弱,可以帮助别人,但必须坚决捍卫自己的利益。

23. Do not just be a good person, but rather be a strong individual with correct values, possessing a certain degree of kindness but never weak. You should be able to help others, but must also firmly defend your own interests.
