In the vast sea of wisdom, the phrase "penetrate the truth, the mind naturally opens" is like the light of a lighthouse, illuminating the path to explore the truth. This book will lead readers on this journey of the soul, through profound thinking, and feel the awakening of the mind.

1. This genuine heart is something that all sentient beings inherently possess; it is not something gained through practice.

2. Enlightenment and clarity of mind are the "correspondence of a single thought." It is a matter of a moment; there is only "sudden enlightenment," not "gradual enlightenment." When Buddha Shakyamuni attained enlightenment, he also "realized enlightenment through seeing a star," and it was also through the six sense organs, using the eye-consciousness to touch and certify the mind. In the "Lengyan Sutra," among the twenty-five methods of perfect enlightenment, the most excellent method is "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's ear-root method of perfect enlightenment," which is also entered through the six sense organs, using the ear-consciousness to touch and certify the mind. The ancestors of the Zen school also entered through the six sense organs and six识. Therefore, to achieve enlightenment and clarity of mind, one must rely on these deluded minds, using false practices to cultivate the true nature.

3. Any person or thing that consumes you, every additional look is a mistake on your part. Return time and energy to yourself, do not exert unnecessary effort to prove yourself, and do not try to persuade others without any benefit – this is spiritual energy conservation and emission reduction. Some people and things we encounter every day can make us feel tired and restless, yet some people can calmly handle everything. The key here lies in whether we have the ability to shield ourselves. Shielding ability allows us to detach ourselves from the complex array of people and things, not be disturbed by the outside world, and maintain inner peace and clarity. This ability is not innate but requires continuous cultivation and improvement in our daily lives. We need to learn to distinguish and screen, let go and let it go, and adjust our own mindset. Only in this way can we truly shield ourselves from those people and things that consume us, and face the challenges of the future with greater composure, confidence, and determination.

4. In life, especially in the world of adults, ideas are all summarized from experiences. Everyone has different experiences, which shape different viewpoints. The world is a vast and complex system, and each person only sees a tiny fraction of it, like the tip of an iceberg.

5. If one tries to cunningly gain the merits and benefits of knowing the truth through espionage, and thereby enter the number of bodhisattvas, there is no place for such an action. It is nothing but the sin of an ordinary person who has not let go of the desire to steal. It is a true reflection of "being obsessed with烦恼 and attachment and unable to attain enlightenment."

6. This genuine heart is the same, whether it belongs to the Buddha Shakyamuni or to the beings in hell; in essence, there is no difference.

7. The greatest awakening for adults is to manage oneself, not to interfere with others, and to克制 the desire to correct others. Many things, even if you are right, do not necessarily require proving others wrong. In life, do not easily judge, do not arbitrarily accuse, do not excessively interfere, be loyal to your own heart, reflect on your own mistakes, wear your own shoes, walk your own path, admire the beautiful scenery, and experience all the complexities of human life. Always remember: where one stands, less talk is better; different cognition, do not argue or debate; different worldviews waste words. When in a group, keep your mouth shut; when alone, keep your heart in check. Only in this way can one live carefree and comfortably, naturally conforming to life.

8. As mentioned above, when touching the true mind, there is no distinction between "first realizing what" and "gradually realizing what."

9. This is the "ultimate truth" of Buddhism. It refers to the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. It is the ultimate refuge for all sentient beings.

10. Therefore, this enlightenment is the realization of one's inherent true mind; whether it is when the bodhisattva manifests as a Buddha in the final stage, or when the mind is fully accomplished in the sixth abode and enters the seventh abode; they are the same. The difference lies in: the enlightenment at the ground level, although it has realized the true mind, the pollution in it is not yet entirely eliminated; whereas the enlightenment at the fruit level has completely removed the pollution from the true mind.

11. In dealing with people, don't be too concerned with gains and losses. Being tolerant towards others is also being kind to yourself. Kindness may not be immediately rewarded, but it will be repaid in another way. Being overly concerned about gains and losses leads to烦恼, while a broadminded heart leads to peace.

12. This genuine heart, if it can be realized, is the enlightenment of the true mind, and one enters the ranks of bodhisattvas; it not only accomplishes the merit of liberation from birth and death instantly, but also ensures never to regress on the path to Buddhahood. Therefore, it is a critical checkpoint that distinguishes between ordinary beings and sages.

13. Secondly, to perceive the true nature of the present, one must achieve "enlightenment and clarify the mind" oneself, which is something that cannot be known through the ordinary mind of an ordinary person, nor can it be conceptualized by even the arhats of the two vehicles.

14. 如上,佛成道时所证:“不生不灭、能生万法的真心”(如来智慧德相);

14. As mentioned above, at the time of his enlightenment, Buddha realized: "The true mind that neither arises nor ceases, and is capable of generating all phenomena" (the wisdom and virtues of Tathagata).

15. After completing the first great kalpa, one has already reached the level of a bodhisattva who is fully enlightened and aware of their true nature; in the following two great kalpas, he appeared in the world countless times as a bodhisattva, and countless times he realized his true nature and touched this heart. It's not just this one time. If it is the case that "one enlightenment leads to Buddhahood" (ultimate Buddha), then all true awakened patriarchs have already completed the path to Buddhahood. Then, all great bodhisattvas who have not yet become Buddha, even at the stage of equal enlightenment, have not yet realized their true nature. Thus, the "Bodhisattva's fifty-two stages" saying "the seventh stage of abiding is to realize the true mind, and the tenth stage of abiding is to see the true nature" becomes false.

16. Mo Yan: "Do not interfere with others' karma and destiny. Otherwise, what you will exhaust is yourself, and you will not be able to save all people in the world. Hence, doctors do not seek patients at their doors, teachers do not follow the same path, and teachings are not easily imparted; do not ask and do not speak. Remember, in the world of adults, there is no screening, no education, only choices, no changes."

17. Before becoming Buddha, all the Buddhas have already completed the "Three Great Eternities" of cultivation, achieving full merit and virtue; in the identity of the "Last Body Bodhisattva," they reside in Tushita Heaven, waiting for the ripening of sentient beings' causes and conditions, and then they appear in the world, demonstrating the realization of Buddhahood.

18. "Alas, alas! All sentient beings inherently possess the wisdom and virtues of the Buddha, but due to attachment and delusion, they are unable to realize them."

19. Of course, those who are continuously suspicious and never forget this issue are people with good roots; due to this cause and effect, in the future, they will undoubtedly touch and prove this mind, transcending the ordinary and entering the sacred realm.

20. When encountering unreasonable people, do not argue with them at all. There is no need for that. In the end, it is still oneself who feels hurt. What can one argue with an unreasonable person and achieve?

21. In the Small Vehicle of Buddhism, it is not necessary to verify the true mind. Instead, it is achieved by empirically realizing "all phenomena are empty" in the secular world. Because of the faith in the Buddha's teachings, "there is a Nirvana that is neither born nor destroyed," one attains Nirvana. Otherwise, if there is no Nirvana that is neither born nor destroyed (the true mind), then it would extinguish all deluded thoughts and all "egos," which would be the same as the doctrine of annihilation.

22. "Never tear someone's face, nor choose to take revenge. Rotten fruits will fall from the tree on their own, without your need to intervene. Accumulate your virtues, and let him reap his own misdeeds. The heavens have eyes, and they will distinguish between right and wrong. There is no need to turn against someone you dislike; if you can't smile, it's fine to be silent. 'It's better to let a dog take the lead in the road than to argue with it. For defeating a dog is not glorious, but being bitten by a dog is quite unlucky."

23. Therefore, the Lesser Vehicle of Buddhism must be supported by the Great Vehicle's "true mind that is neither born nor destroyed," and supported by the Great Vehicle Bodhisattvas' realization that the true mind is not false and delusory; it is the Dharma rather than the "extinctionist views of heterodox sects." If the true mind is denied, then the Lesser Vehicle is akin to extinction.

24. You should try to calm yourself down and do what you are supposed to do, instead of letting irritation and anxiety destroy the little enthusiasm and composure you have. The heart may break, but your hands cannot stop. To face difficulties head-on in the face of collapse is the character that adults should possess.

25. This "true mind," also known as heart, rūpa, Buddha, Tathatā, Dharmakāya, Tathāgata, Nirvana, reality, Buddha-nature, non-mind mind, the reality of all dharmas, the root of Nirvana, and the original face... has dozens of names.

26. Furthermore, the question posed by the original poster is actually something that cannot be explained by language, nor can it be understood through measurement of thought. It must be personally experienced!

27. Therefore, this enlightenment is not exclusive to the time when the last bodhisattva manifests as a Buddha; rather, it is an event that every bodhisattva above the "seven stay stage" will experience in each of their lifetimes.
