In the vast river of time, facing loneliness and death bravely, and fearless of the peaceful end, I embarked on a journey to seek the meaning of life.

1. The Bodhi tree originally has no tree, the bright mirror is not a stand. Originally there is nothing, where can dust stir up trouble?

2. As one grows older, they become increasingly silent and prefer solitude, not because they have lost the ability to interact with others, but because they have lost the interest in playing roles. They do not want to navigate the superficial social interactions filled with insincerity, nor do they want to exhaust themselves in the complexities of interpersonal relationships. They focus all their energy on themselves, living their own little life well, and it doesn't matter if they end up alone in their old age!

3. We all fear death, and even more so the excruciating pain like being sliced a thousand times before death. When faced with serious illness and death, we had no say in making decisions. We were truly at the mercy of fate and had no power to act. The only thing we could do was to cultivate our own mindset. If misfortune or disaster befell us, we should not tremble with fear or be overwhelmed with sorrow, but instead, we should be able to dissolve the hardships of fate with a strong inner world.

4. We do not know whether tomorrow or the unexpected will come first, nor do we know if we will still be alive in the next moment.

5. Life is just an experience. Eating, drinking, and enjoying oneself does not equal wasting time, nor does enduring hardships equal being outstanding. Mediocrity is not a sin, nor is it a mistake. When fate does not grant you the opportunity to rise to the top, you should calmly and reasonably be content with being an ordinary person. Do not put unnecessary strain on yourself, and do not harshly blame fate.

6. Fear not death from serious illness, face everything calmly!

7. Once upon a time, how much we wished for some friends to face the hardships of life together, to warm each other and support each other, to be as loyal as a liver and a gallbladder, to share honors and disasters, to stab ourselves in both sides for the cause, and to sacrifice our lives and forget about death! Later on, we realized that the relationships between people are, in the end, all about self-interest; all feelings are just illusions, and without a need, there can be no relationship.

8. No matter how great or formidable you are, or how remarkable you may seem, in the end, you will all turn to dust. No matter how humble, helpless, or ordinary you may be, in the end, you will also turn to dust. It is better to be at peace with what you have and do not have, rather than being troubled by it. It is better to be willing and happy with what you wish and do not wish for, than to be coerced or resistant.

9. What joy in living, what sorrow in dying? If heaven allows you to endure the suffering before death, if fate gives you a severe illness that is unbearable, it may be to elevate your soul to a higher level, allowing you to enter a very beautiful world after death!

10. Don't complain about being unsuccessful, as the vast majority of people in the world have achieved nothing.

11. All the wealth and status we strive for will turn into the thick smoke at a crematorium, and all the grievances and emotional entanglements we care about will eventually be erased with our death.

12. When fate is beyond control, just go with the flow! What's the harm in growing old alone? What's there to fear from serious illness or death? What to worry about in leading a life of mediocrity?

13. There are an increasing number of cancer patients around us. Some are barely holding on, suffering from the tortures of illness, while others cry out in pain as the cancer spreads throughout their bodies. They are not only shrouded by the shadow of death but also have to endure their broken bodies being devoured by the disease, leaving them riddled with holes as if being cut to pieces, feeling lifeless and without any hope.

14. Yu Hua said: "Why not grow old alone if I don't want to get close to anyone? Now, I don't even want to interact with acquaintances or relatives, I'm tired of putting on a show! In this society, even if you have a thousand friends, a serious illness can instantly make you feel heartbroken. What it's like to have no one to ask about your well-being, coming into this world is already alone, can someone accompany you when you leave? So, one still needs to learn to be on one's own!"

15. Life is like a journey, and in this lifetime, we come to experience the world, not to possess anything or to fulfill a certain mission. To live in harmony with nature, to give oneself more exciting and vivid experiences within one's abilities, is the most worthwhile way to live.
