1. 无视那一些看不起你的人，蔑视那一些见利忘义的小人，不必理会那些和你格格不入的人，冷脸对他人，是普通人的一种处世智慧。

1. Ignore those who look down on you, disdain those small-minded individuals who forget righteousness for profit, and do not pay attention to those who do not fit in with you. Treating others with a cold face is a kind of worldliness wisdom for the ordinary people.

2. 世事洞明皆学问，人情练达即文章。能够用冷眼观世界的人，才会拥有成熟的智慧，游刃有余，左右逢源。

2. Understanding the world is all about knowledge, and being adept at human relationships is the essence of good writing. Only those who can view the world with a cold eye will possess mature wisdom, move effortlessly, and find opportunities on all sides.

3. 不要对任何人抱有心存幻想的期待和不切实际的妄想，你不可抑制的喜悦，只会引发别人的嫉妒，你惊天动地的伤痛，在别人眼里，不过是随手拂过的尘埃。

3. Do not harbor unrealistic expectations and whimsical fantasies for anyone. Your uncontrollable joy will only stir up others' jealousy, and the heart-wrenching pain you experience is to others just a speck of dust that can be brushed aside with a mere hand movement.

4. 事缓则圆，事急则败。

4. The matter can be resolved smoothly if it is handled slowly, but it will fail if it is rushed.

5. 生命就是一段荒凉的旅程。

5. Life is a barren journey.

6. 有时候我们学会对别人冷漠一点，不是因为自私自利，也不是因为狂妄自大，而是唯有如此，才能够保持自己可怜的自尊。

6. Sometimes we learn to be a bit indifferent towards others, not because of selfishness or arrogance, but only in this way can we maintain our可怜 self-esteem.

7. 遇到事情，不妨让子弹飞一会儿，冷静的分析一下事情的真相，寻根究源，条分缕析，然后以自己最大的能量去破解这个问题。

7. When faced with situations, it's advisable to let things settle for a while. Take a calm and rational analysis of the truth behind the matter, trace the root cause, and analyze it systematically. Then, with all your energy, work to solve this problem.

8. 当局者迷，旁观者清。我们只有一一双冷眼来打量这个世界的纷纷扰扰，不让自己裹挟其中，不放纵自己的欲望，迷失自己的心智。才能够发现事物的奥妙，为自己的人生之路提供正确的指引。

8. The one involved is confused, while the onlooker is clear. We can only observe the world's chaos with a pair of cold eyes, not letting ourselves be swept up in it, not indulging our desires, and not losing our mental clarity. Only then can we discover the mysteries of things and provide the right guidance for our path in life.

9. 一位哲学家说过，人与人之间没有永远的朋友，也没有永远的敌人，只有永远的利益。

9. A philosopher once said, "There are no permanent friends or enemies between people, only permanent interests."

10. 不要对任何人抱有什么指望，如果别人不把你当做一回事，千万不要热脸贴别人的冷屁股，没有谁比谁矮半截，大家都是平等的，我们必须在人际交往之中保持自己应有的人格。

10. Don't expect anything from anyone. If others don't take you seriously, never try to kiss someone's cold behind. No one is half a head shorter than anyone else; everyone is equal. We must maintain our own personality in human interactions.

11. 匹夫受辱，拔剑而起，挺身而斗，而真正有大格局的人，猝然临之而不惊，无故加之而无怒，而是可以看透事物的本质，根据面对的问题，寻求最优质的策略。

11. An ordinary person, when humiliated, would draw his sword and stand up to fight. However, a person with a grand vision, when faced with an unexpected situation, remains unalarmed, and when subjected to unjust treatment, does not get angry. Instead, they can see through the essence of things, seek the most optimal strategies based on the problems they face.

12. 这个世界上有很多势利眼。

12. There are many snobs in this world.

13. 真正厉害的人，泰山崩于前而面不改色，黄河决于口而心不惊慌。

13. A truly formidable person remains unfazed in the face of a collapsing Taihang Mountain, and their heart does not falter when the Yellow River bursts its banks.

14. 生活中我们总是会遇到一些急事，难事，棘手之事，复杂之事，麻烦之事，关键是我们一定要稳住自己的情绪，用理性和智慧去面对问题，才可能让事情有回旋的余地，否则脑袋一热，情绪上头，怒气冲天，或者整个人都被消极情绪所包裹，必将一败涂地，万劫不复。

14. In life, we will always encounter some urgent matters, difficult issues, thorny problems, complex situations, and麻烦 matters. The key is that we must maintain our composure and face the problems with reason and wisdom, which is the only way to leave room for maneuver. Otherwise, if we get carried away by emotions, become愤怒 and aggressive, or if we are enveloped by negative emotions, we will surely suffer a complete defeat and be doomed to perpetual ruin.

15. 大树底下无大草。能够给你依靠的，同样可以让你暗无天日。一个人最成熟的活法，就是与任何人，任何事都要保持一定的距离，冷漠一些，凉薄一些，才能够更好的保护自己，在人生路上行稳致远。

15. Under the big tree, there is no big grass. What can rely on you can also make you live in darkness. The most mature way for a person to live is to maintain a certain distance with anyone and anything, to be a bit indifferent and cold, so as to better protect oneself and walk steadily and far on the road of life.

16. 当你对他有用的时候，就对你逢迎讨好，百依百顺，温柔体贴，当你对他毫无价值，就对你弃之如敝履，视之如无物。

16. When you are useful to him, he flatters and讨好 you, is compliant and gentle; but when you have no value to him, he treats you like an old shoe, as if you did not exist.

17. 与其在人群之中消耗自己，不如抽身而出，把自己置身于人群之外，冷眼观世界，做一个旁观者，这样才能够看透事物的本质，洞悉人心人性和社会运行的真相，不至于让自己迷失于世界的光怪陆离之中。

17. It is better to withdraw from the crowd and place oneself outside of it, observing the world with a cold eye as a spectator, so as to truly see the essence of things, understand the truth of human nature and the functioning of society, and not to get lost amidst the myriad wonders and peculiarities of the world.

18. 增广贤文说，但将冷眼观螃蟹，看你横行到几时？

18. The expanded version of the Book of the Ways of the Wise says, "Just watch the crab with a cold eye; see how long you can keep on your horizontal march?"
