10. 哀哀父母，生我劬劳。

16. 三军可夺帅也，匹夫不可夺志也。

16. The leader of the three armies can be changed, but a common man's will cannot be taken away.

18. 出淤泥而不染，濯清涟而不妖。

19. 眼前多少难甘事，自古男儿当自强。

19. How many bitter things are before us, since ancient times, men should strive to be self-reliant.

20. 秦恶闻其过而亡，汉好谋能听而兴。

20. The Qin Dynasty perished because it disliked hearing about its faults, while the Han Dynasty flourished because it cherished strategy and was able to listen.

21. 莫道桑榆晚，为霞尚满天。

21. Do not say the sun sets late at the willow tree's end, for the sky is still filled with the glow of the setting sun.

22. 单者易折，众则难摧。

22. The single is easily broken, but the many are hard to crush.

23. 二人同心，其利断金。

24. 以修身自强，则名配尧禹。

24. If one cultivates oneself and strengthens their character, their reputation will be equal to that of Yao and Yu.

26. 不贵于无过，而贵于能改过。

26. It is not as valuable as being without faults, but it is more valuable in being able to correct one's faults.

27. 君子成人之美，不成人之恶。

27. A gentleman perfects the beauty of others, but does not encourage others' wickedness.

28. 必有忍，其乃有济；有容，德乃大。

28. There must be forbearance, then there can be salvation; with tolerance, virtue becomes great.

29. 不蔽人之善，不言人之恶。

29. Do not conceal others' virtues, and do not speak of others' faults.

30. 志士仁人，无求生以害仁，有杀身以成仁。

30. The noble and righteous, they do not seek life at the expense of仁 (benevolence), but are willing to sacrifice their lives to achieve仁.

31. 有则改之，无则加勉。

31. If there is something to correct, correct it; if not, strive to improve.

32. 粉身碎骨浑不怕，留得清白在人间。

32. Fear not to be crushed into dust and bone, as long as one's innocence remains in the world.

33. 不降其志，不辱其身。

33. Not to lower their aspirations, not to辱 their dignity.

34. 惟仁者能好人，能恶人。

34. Only the benevolent can be good to others, and can also be bad to others.

35. 百尺竿头，更进一步。

35. To go further when one has reached the top of a hundred-foot pole.

36. 闻过则喜，知过不讳，改过不惮。

36. Rejoice in hearing of one's faults, acknowledge one's faults without reservation, and not fear in correcting one's faults.

37. 宁可玉碎，不能瓦全。

37. It is better to be broken like jade than to be whole like pottery.

38. 言者无罪，闻者足戒。

38. If what is said is not guilty, the one who hears it is sufficiently warned.

39. 王师北定中原日，家祭无忘告乃翁。

39. The day the king's troops conquer the Central Plains, do not forget to offer a sacrifice at home and inform your father.

40. 过而不改，是谓过矣。

40. To pass by without making a change, that is called a mistake.

41. 有志不在年高，无志空长百岁。

41. It's not the age that determines ambition, but a lack of ambition that makes one long for a hundred years.

42. 朝闻道，夕死可矣。

42. To hear the truth in the morning is enough for a person to die at night.

43. 士志于道，而耻恶衣恶食者，未足与议也。

43. A person who is dedicated to the path of virtue but is ashamed of wearing coarse clothes and eating simple food is not worthy of being discussed.

44. 穷则独善其身，达则兼善天下。

44. When in straits, cultivate yourself alone; when in prosperity, do good to the world.

45. 士不可以不弘毅，任重而道远。

45. A gentleman cannot be without fortitude and perseverance, for he has heavy responsibilities and a long road ahead.

46. 路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索。

46. The road is long and winding, and I will seek the truth with both the heavens and the earth.

47. 人生自古谁无死，留取丹心照汗青。

47. Throughout history, who can escape death? Preserve the indomitable spirit to shine in the annals of history.

48. 生当作人杰，死亦为鬼雄。

48. To live is to be a hero among men, to die is to be a hero among ghosts.

49. 与人不求备，检身若不及。

49. Do not demand perfection from others, and examine yourself as if you were not enough.
