1. Now our country is vigorously promoting energy conservation and environmental protection, and advocating for waste classification. Of course, I should also take positive action, starting from the trivial things around me, to make our home even more beautiful!
2. After having a good dinner today, Mom collected the garbage from the kitchen and asked me to take it down to the trash can. What's so difficult about that? I'm already in fourth grade, and it's a piece of cake for me. I carried the garbage, hopping and skipping down the stairs. But when I got to the trash can, I was stumped. There were four soldiers, each wearing clothes of a different color, and I was at a loss as to whom to give it to. After much thought, I decided to go back and ask Mom for help. 3. With Mom's help, I learned a lot about垃圾分类. Blue is for recyclable waste, green is for kitchen waste, gray is for other waste, and finally, red is for hazardous waste.
4. Originally, we would just dump these trash people into the vegetable garden, but now, things like drink cans, waste paper, glass bottles... these are difficult to decompose. However, there is a solution, which is to reuse them. These waste materials are non-toxic and harmless, and throwing them away is equivalent to throwing away valuable resources in our hands. If reused, the level of pollution can be significantly reduced. And the decomposable waste that is dumped into the vegetable garden can be used as fertilizer. But be aware that when reusing, disinfection should be noted; otherwise, the bacteria left from the first use will absorb into our bodies.
5. In our daily lives, we often have the opportunity to reuse seemingly useless waste in a reasonable way. For example: glass bottles are non-toxic and harmless waste, but they are difficult to decompose, so we should make use of them again. Clean it, paint your favorite patterns on it or wrap it with colorful paper, insert a flower, and place it on the table. It is both pleasing to the eye and saves expenses, a win-win situation. For example, the eggshells we often eat are actually a treasure, as they contain a lot of calcium. When crushed, they can be sprinkled on potted plants, becoming a nutrient for the plants."
6. Let's get involved together and find a "cozy home" for the garbage!
7. I will sort the household waste at home, such as: put the kitchen waste in one garbage bag, general household waste in another, and reusable waste in a third. The garbage bins downstairs have also increased from one to three, with each bin clearly labeled. I put the three bags of waste into the corresponding bins according to the classification. There are special waste collection personnel who come to collect the waste every morning and evening, and they will deal with the waste based on our sorted categories. With this kind of classification, the air quality in Hangzhou is getting better and the level of pollution is decreasing.
8. I walked away indifferently, as if垃圾分类 had nothing to do with me. Along the way, I was humming a tune. Not far from where I was, a mother and her son approached, and the boy looked younger than I was. He held a waste notebook in one hand and pulled at his mother's sleeve, asking, "What kind of waste is the waste notebook?" The mother bent down, smiling and saying to him, "Oh, my son, you know about waste classification too, that's great! Waste notebooks belong to recyclable waste." The boy exclaimed "Oh" and ran over quickly, throwing the notebook into the "recyclable" bin. Then he turned around and smiled at his mother. After that, the mother and son walked away, leaving me alone, blushing and staring blankly.
9. Waste is omnipresent in our lives, but if we do not properly clean and sort it, our soil and water quality will be severely polluted, and the blue sky and white clouds will become increasingly distant from us. Therefore, to protect our living environment, we should start with垃圾分类. 10. Today, after I finished drinking a beverage bottle, I casually threw it into the kitchen waste bin. My mother came over and kindly asked me: "Sweetie, do you know what type of waste the beverage bottle belongs to? Of course I do! It's recyclable waste!" I confidently said, and then, feeling ashamed, I quickly put the beverage bottle into the recyclable waste bin. My mother patiently explained: "Sweetie, there are four types of waste: recyclable waste, kitchen waste, hazardous waste, and other waste. Waste paper, plastic, glass bottles, and metal objects are recyclable waste; fruit peels and leftover food are kitchen waste; waste batteries, light tubes, ink cartridges, thermometers, and expired medications are hazardous waste; everything else falls under other waste. Do you know? If a waste battery is thrown into a lake, all the aquatic life will die within a week. So, seemingly small waste, if not sorted correctly, can cause great harm to our lives!" I looked at my mother in astonishment and said: "I didn't know that垃圾分类 was so important!" Mother, I won't throw waste randomly anymore. I hung my head in shame.
11. Of course, we also encountered problems with sorting waste, such as: mistaking the waste bin when throwing away garbage; the garbage bag for kitchen waste broke, causing the liquid from the bag to leak onto the street during the garbage disposal process. Such a meticulous issue requires us to check whether the garbage bag is torn before throwing away the garbage. If it is torn, we should put another garbage bag over it to avoid similar problems.
12. Hope we can keep it up, so that the air environment in Hangzhou can become better!
13. A wave of emotions surged within me. Indeed, why does a child younger than me understand waste sorting, while I cannot? I bit my teeth and ran over quickly, stretching out my hand to pick up the trash I had thrown away, and guiding it back "home." Look! That soda bottle seems to be smiling at me: "Thank you for helping me find the right 'home'."
14. In life, it is unavoidable for people to generate garbage. Garbage is a treasure, but it is also a "naughty treasure". How you treat it, it will treat you in return. Treat it well, and it will bring benefits to humanity; treat it poorly, and it will harm the Earth and humans. Therefore, waste sorting is a measure to transform waste into treasure. 15. Our family also practices waste sorting. We have four trash bins: one in the kitchen for kitchen waste; one in the bathroom for non-recyclable waste; one in the living room for recyclable waste; and one on the balcony for hazardous waste. You may wonder why our family started sorting waste, and it was all because of a small matter of mine.
16. In life, the garbage includes the remains of fruit peels and shells, paper fragments, snack packaging bags, and so on... 17. After we finish eating these snacks and fruits, we put the remaining garbage into a trash bag and then throw the trash bag into the garbage bin near the building. But do you know how these garbage disappear from the world?
18. In fact, there are many benefits to垃圾分类, such as waste batteries and paper, which are highly recyclable materials. You just need to make a choice in the midst of discarding garbage carelessly. A simple gesture can protect our environment, reduce pollution, and turn waste into treasure, allowing for the recycling of waste, which is truly a win-win situation.
19. Since then, I have realized the importance of waste classification. As they say, "Actions speak louder than words," I immediately started promoting waste classification to my family and neighbors. At the same time, I took care of my own household waste classification: hazardous waste, non-recyclable waste, recyclable waste, and kitchen waste. For example, plastic bottles must be thrown into the recyclable waste bin, never to be discarded carelessly. Discarding waste carelessly is like evading a portion of my responsibility towards environmental protection, and it brings a strong sense of guilt.
20. The seedlings grow strong with abundant fertilization, and thriving seedlings naturally yield more grain. (Mongolian)
21. From today on, we must definitely remind those around us to protect the environment, cherish the Earth, and do a good job with waste classification. Let's start with ourselves and you!
22. Remember when I was seven years old, one day I went out to play. It was July then, and the sun was so hot that it almost dried people into human meat. By chance, I passed by a supermarket and saw all sorts of drinks inside, making my mouth water. I rummaged through my pocket and found exactly two yuan. I rushed in and bought a bottle of soda, popped the cap, and downed it in one "gulp, gulp." There was a trash can ahead, and without even thinking, I casually threw it into the "harmful waste" bin.
23. Fertilization is not about shortcuts: burn, smoke, dig, replace, sweep, cut, compost, pile, collect, and fish.
24. Waste may seem to people as some dirty and smelly useless garbage. However, I know that if waste is sorted and processed, it can be transformed into valuable resources. 25. When you walk on the streets, you will be attracted by those colorful and variously shaped trash bins. Those are environmental-friendly trash bins. The environmental-friendly trash bins are divided into two categories: recyclable and non-recyclable.
26. In the recyclable category, there are items we consume the most in our daily lives, such as cola bottles, plastic bags, and disposable food containers, and so on. If these sorted waste plastics are processed, they can still be made into buttons, pen holders, file folders, and other useful items. There are also the leftover food scraps, vegetable leaves, fruit peels, and other kitchen waste we discard every day. These moldy and smelly things can cause environmental pollution if not sorted and disposed of randomly, leading to the proliferation of mosquitoes, flies, and bacteria, which directly harm our health. However, if these kitchen waste items are sorted and processed properly, they can be used to produce excellent organic fertilizer, which is very useful for planting vegetables and flowers. The vegetables grown with this fertilizer are both healthy and delicious.
