The wisdom of life, like climbing a peak, is always about pursuing that ever-imperfect summit.

1. 我只想与你一起，没有荆棘，没有反抗，没有谁说不可以。只像世间所有的爱侣，不辞岁月，相守白头，不羡鸳鸯不羡仙。

1. I only want to be with you, without thorns, without resistance, without anyone saying that it's not allowed. Just like all the lovers in the world, I will not complain about the passage of time, stay together until old age, and not envy the mandarin ducks or immortals.

2. 事物的发展规律，都是高峰低谷，波浪起伏。事不求满，人不求全。给人生留下缺口，才能永葆生机，持续发展。

4. 如果有一天我们失忆了，忘记想要了。如果有一天我们失声了，无法表达了。如果有一天我们失明了，再也看不到了。如果有一天我们失去了，再也回不到了。如果有一天我们失信了，再也不值得被相信了。如果有一天我们无法传达，无法容忍，无法倾泻，无法自拔，无法无天…我们还剩下了什么？

4. If one day we lose our memory, and forget what we want. If one day we lose our voice, and cannot express ourselves. If one day we lose our sight, and can no longer see. If one day we lose something, and can never return. If one day we lose our trustworthiness, and are no longer worthy of being trusted. If one day we cannot convey, cannot tolerate, cannot pour out, cannot extricate ourselves, cannot behave without restraint... What do we have left?

5. 伤心的时候没有人安慰，于是我学会了自己跟自己说话。

7. Being mentally exhausted is often being vacillated between persistence and giving up, unable to make a decision. Worry is about having a good memory, with both what should be remembered and what shouldn't remaining in one's memory. Pursuit leads to disappointment; life brings about worries. Giving up is not a sign of indecisiveness, but a composed and relaxed approach to life. No one is perfect, happiness doesn't score a hundred points, and the unhappiest people in the world are those who think too much.

8. 虚伪的人们，需要的是幸福，而幸福，需要的是我们。

9. 曾国藩在平定天平天国后，封一等毅勇侯，拜两江总督，位极人臣。但曾国藩却从不敢自满，他生活简朴，律家极严，谦卑含容，藏锋守拙，完全不像一个一品大员的样子。

He lived a simple life, imposed strict discipline on his family, was humble and tolerant, concealed his sharpness, and guarded his modesty, which was completely uncharacteristic of a high-ranking official.

12. 少年不胡作妄为，大胆放肆，试问老年时哪来的题材话当年。

13. 《周易》说：“穷则变，变则通，通则久，久则穷。”

14. 看庭前花开花落，荣辱不惊，望天上云卷云舒，去留无意。

14. Watch the flowers bloom and wither in the courtyard, unshaken by fame and shame; observe the clouds gather and disperse in the sky, without intention of staying or leaving.

15. 生命最好的状态，是虚怀若谷，适可而止，接受遗憾，不求圆满。

15. The best state of life is to be open-minded and modest, to know when to stop, to accept shortcomings, and not to seek perfection.

16. 思念不能自已，痛苦不能自理，结果不能自取，幸福不能自予。

16. Love cannot be self-contained, pain cannot be self-managed, results cannot be self-achieved, and happiness cannot be self-bestowed.

17. 想想确实如此：除了苏东坡先生的“人有悲欢离合，月有阴晴圆缺，此事古难全”外，有“鱼与熊掌不可兼得”，还有“不如意事常八九，可与言人无二三”、“家家有本难念的经”等等。由此可知，人自从一生下来，面对这个未知的世界，就注定了每个人生都是不完美的。

17. Think about it, it is indeed so: besides Mr. Su Dongpo's "Men have joy and sorrow, parting and reunion, the moon has its cloudy and clear, waning and full, and this is something that is difficult to be perfect in ancient times," there are also sayings like "You can't have both fish and bear's paws," "There are nine out of ten things that are not as one wishes, and there are few people one can talk to," and "Every family has its hard-to-read scriptures." From this, we can know that since the moment people are born, facing this unknown world, it is destined that each life is imperfect.

18. 放弃了才能选择，遗弃了才能挑选，人生许多的美好，都是于选择后获得的。失去，就别在惋惜，离开，就别在悔恨。

29. 还记得你说自己的名字中缺水，家里帮你算八字说如果改名，名字中要有水就好了，那晚我们一起想了很久，最后确定了；还记得你说要和我结婚，但是你却给不出一个完美的理由说服我，因为你本身并不想结婚，而是因为家里在催你结婚，或许你拿我在作实验，作赌注吧，你不是因为爱我而想和我结婚，虽然我爱你，但是我却不能答应和你一生一世在一起。

29. Do you remember you said that your name lacked water, and your family had your fortune told, saying that if you changed your name, it should include water. That night, we thought about it for a long time and finally decided; do you remember you said you wanted to marry me, but you couldn't give me a perfect reason to convince me, because you yourself didn't want to get married, but it was because your family was pressing you to marry. Maybe you were using me as an experiment, or a bet, right? You're not marrying me because you love me, although I do love you, but I can't agree to be with you for life.

30. 我们的终点，就是被遗忘，或许我早就曾经到达。

39. 失败了，必须拥有健康，才能东山再起。

41. 能在一起生活的不一定是最好的，但一定是最合适的。

42. 比失去你更令我伤心的是，你始终都没有为了跟我在一起而努力过。

42. What makes me more heartbroken than losing you is that you have never made an effort to be with me.

43. 追求完美即是不完美。生活中，多少失落、痛苦和不幸正是源于它。俗话所说，“金无足赤，人无完人”，现实就是这样的残酷。若过于执着且不肯变通，必然陷入完美主义的心理误区。欲除掉珍珠斑点的那个人一定是最痛苦的人。因为在他的眼中，看到的多是不完美，因而一次次与机遇擦肩而过。与成功遥遥相望，最终只落得两手空空。

43. The pursuit of perfection is itself an imperfection. In life, many disappointments, pain, and misfortunes arise from it. As the saying goes, "Gold is not pure, and no one is perfect," the reality is indeed cruel. If one is too obsessed and unwilling to adapt, they are bound to fall into the psychological trap of perfectionism. The person who wants to remove the speckles from the pearl is undoubtedly the most suffering. For in his eyes, he sees more imperfection, and thus repeatedly misses opportunities. Looking longingly at success, he ends up with nothing but empty hands.

44. 什么是在乎？佛教解释为执着。一个太过执着的人，很少会有幸福感，一个太在乎别人的人，别人往往会不在乎他。

44. What is caring? Buddhism explains it as attachment. A person who is overly attached rarely has happiness, and someone who is too concerned about others often finds that others do not care about them.

45. 求缺，是做人的高级智慧。

45. Seeking for deficiencies is an advanced wisdom in being a person.

46. 夜夜难眠，天天泪痕，泪水淹没日月，混淆乾坤，也无法挽回流失的岁月，重返最初之净泊。

49. Life is just like this. It always occupies the position of absolute leadership, as countless fools shout that they control life and master fate. Yet, they fail to see that life, soaring in the higher heavens, shows a mocking, derisive smile.

50. 从容的心态是人生最高的境界，只要心态有了从容，面对金钱、名利才能豁达而又不失进取。我说：感悟就会从容、快乐就会幸福，知足就会完满。生活是美好的，不要因为缺憾而伤感。如果错过了早上东升的太阳，我们还可以欣赏傍晚美丽的落日。如果错过了春天的花朵，我们还可以收获秋天的果实。如果错过了今天，那么，就期待着给明天一个大大的拥抱就好。上帝是最公平的，他关闭了一扇门，同样会为你开启另一扇门。人生总会有很多的缺憾，当你在面对这些的时候，别急着说别无选择，别以为所有的事情只有对与错，要记着，事情的答案远不止一个，所以，我们永远有路可走。

50. A composed attitude is the highest level of life, and with a composed mindset, one can face wealth and fame with generosity and still maintain ambition. I say: when one has a sense of realization, one is composed; when one is happy, one is blessed; and when one is content, one is perfect. Life is beautiful; do not be saddened by shortcomings. If you miss the rising sun in the morning, you can still admire the beautiful sunset in the evening. If you miss the flowers of spring, you can still reap the fruits of autumn. If you miss today, then just look forward to giving tomorrow a big hug. God is the most fair; He closes one door but will also open another for you. Life will always have many shortcomings. When faced with these, do not rush to say that there is no choice, and do not think that all things are only right or wrong. Remember, the answers to things are far more than one, so we always have a way to go.

51. 许久以前，在电视和网络中，闻年过耄耋的季老说，请摘去他头上的国学大师等三顶帽子（三辞“桂冠”：一辞“国学大师”，二辞“学界泰斗”，三辞“国宝”）。我还曾和多此一举的炒作联系起来，近期有幸阅读了读当代中国出版社出版的《季羡林谈人生》一书，看到这篇“不完满才是人生”，感觉很受启发。季老先生在文章中说：每个人都争取一个完满的人生。然而，自古及今，海内海外，一个百分之百完满的人生是没有的，不完满才是人生。

In the article, Mr. Jì said: "Everyone strives for a perfect life. However, from ancient times to the present, both within and outside of our country, there is no one who has a one hundred percent perfect life; imperfection is what life is all about."
