In those days, the Han soldiers directly headed towards the Bai Shan Mountain road, while the Tubo people covetted the vast rivers and mountains of Qinghai. These places of historic battles rarely saw returning soldiers. The soldiers garrisoning the frontier city gaze at the border town, their faces filled with the longing for home, a look of desolation and sorrow! And the wives of the soldiers on high towers at home, their hearts heavy with grief and sighing, must have paused for no reason.
