In the bustling world, everyone is a traveler at the mercy of fate. Let us savor the myriad moments of life with 25 wise proverbs, and fully enjoy the joys bestowed by nature!
1. Under the bodhi tree, there are three thousand complaints; today, after the wine has醒了, I change for a coin. In Langya and Yantai pavilions, the rain and moon, how can the tears of the qin and se (stringed instruments) be light and flowing?
2. Those who are willing to endure losses will eventually not suffer any real loss; with numerous losses, there will always be abundant rewards. Those who love to take advantage will certainly not gain any real benefits; they may win small profits, but they will lose great blessings. No matter how good something is, you cannot keep it forever; there is no need to think about immediate repayment. It is better to always carry a compassionate heart and often extend helping hands, winning people's hearts and never lacking in other things. Do not think that success or failure has no cause; the bitter fruit of today is the sowing of yesterday; the efforts you make now are the good rewards of tomorrow.
3. Home is plain and simple, but seeing the smiling faces of loved ones every day is the manifestation of happiness; love is straightforward, and as long as there is mutual care every day, it is a comforting warmth. Happiness is not elusive; it lies in the heart's feelings; love is not distant; it lies in the默契 between two hearts. The heart has only one, do not fill it with too much; life has only one, do not chase it too hard. The joy of the soul comes from spiritual richness; simple happiness comes from a sense of contentment.
4. The Buddha said, "All beings are born and will die." The Buddha said, "Follow one's heart, follow the circumstances, follow one's nature." The Buddha said, "All phenomena are merely manifestations of the mind."
5. Turn around, a trace of cold fragrance drifts away, the fallen snow is deep, and the smile is faint. In the next life, would you be willing to cross me?

7. For ten years, life and death are as vast and boundless, not to think of them, yet they are unforgettable. A solitary tomb in a thousand miles, where can one speak of the desolation?
8. Speak after thinking it through, and act after considering the consequences. Think more, think more, listen more, look more, speak cautiously, and act prudently. Because on the path of samsara, there are no "ifs," only results and consequences.
9. Do not complain about the hardships life has given you, or about the many twists and turns in life. Treat every failure as a trial and do not feel inferior, and view every success as a stroke of luck and do not become proud. Smile in the face of adversity, embrace happiness, savor solitude, conquer sadness, and face everything life brings us.
10. It is only when your heart is filled with joy that you can bring joy to others; it is only when your heart is filled with compassion that you can bring compassion to others. One can only give away wealth if one possesses it; one can only give away the way if one possesses it. Some people's hearts are filled only with greed, anger, and ignorance, and what they give others is naturally the same. Therefore, we advise people not to spread烦恼 (troubles) and 忧闷 (sorrow) to others, because whatever you give away, you will receive in return; this is the inevitable cause and effect.
11. The Buddha said: "If there is a connection, they will meet a thousand miles apart; if there is no connection, they will not meet even if they face each other. A thousand years of cultivation for sharing the same pillow, five hundred years of cultivation for crossing the same boat."

20. You say you have a sharp tongue but a soft heart, but your mouth is as sharp as a knife, cutting others and causing them to bleed. Wherever your words go, others bleed. Can you still have a soft heart? Can you? One should use kind, gentle, and commendatory speech; the mouth should not utter evil words, should not stir up discord or meddle in others' affairs, and should not speak idle or false words. These four types of spoken offenses should not be present. How can one train oneself to transcend various adversities and fully master the situation? This depends on wisdom.

22. To inquire whether the clear mirror is not a platform, and the bodhi tree is not a tree, whether the environment arises from the mind, can it be clearly distinguished? Is it the demon or not the demon, or not the demon is the demon, it needs to wait for the evaluation of the world and future generations.
23. Having realized the lotus repository, one must discard the leaf manuscripts. Enlightenment has no location, and words are inherently empty.
24. How should we grasp yesterday and today? The Buddha said: Do not let too many yesterdays occupy your today.
25. The wise must be humble, the benevolent must be tolerant; only the little-wise are pushy, and only the little-benevolent are meticulous. Those with great demeanor do not seek ostentation; those who seek great ostentation reveal their small demeanor. Great talent is simple and unadorned, while little talent is showy but hollow; those who have achieved great success are modest and peaceful, while those who have achieved little are conceited. A truly elegant person must have a broad mind to embrace all things and show tolerance to all beings; a truly noble person faces those stronger than themselves without humility or arrogance, and treats those weaker than themselves with equality.
26. A flower holds a world, a leaf a Buddha. A thought a purity, the heart is a blooming lotus. If the heart is pure, the entire three thousand worlds are all pure lands. The joys and sorrows, the sweetness and bitterness of life are all connected to the heart. If the mind is at ease, what could truly be insurmountable obstacles? Amidst the dust of the world, treat all matters with kindness as the foundation, do what should be done and avoid what should not be done. With a serene, peaceful, and tranquil heart, like an open lotus, one moves naturally and calmly, not opening for anyone or falling for anyone.
27. Everything is round, everything follows its own course. The sky is round, the earth is round, all things cycle and return, and all things are connected by cause and effect. Nothing is without reason; the starting point is the endpoint, and the endpoint is the new starting point. Without the original starting point, how can there be today's endpoint? The old does not leave, the new will not come. Fate is cause and effect, and cause and effect are round. Do not be overjoyed, for joy is evil, and in the end, you will reap the evil fruit; do not be despondent, for despondency is a wound, and the wounded find it hard to be whole. Be serene in your heart, follow fate, and let things take their natural course is to be complete.

33. In the Buddhist circle, it is often said that turning back is the way to the shore. But from where do we turn back? We turn back from self-interest, from confusion and delusion, from greed, anger, ignorance, and arrogance, and from the desires and distractions of the senses. This turning back leads us back to our true nature. When we turn back, we become aware; when we turn back, we become upright; when we turn back, we become pure. So, turning back is essentially letting go. The Mahayana teachings tell us to let go, but we must understand that this is about letting go of the mind, not of the things.
34. If you desire something too much, you tend to magnify it, even to the extent that it becomes the entire world, occupying all your thoughts. My advice is, regardless of whether you achieve your desire or not, you should jump out of it in time and see its true position in the whole world, that is, how insignificant it is in the infinite space and time. In this way, you will not be overconfident if you get it, nor despair if you don't.
35. Life is Zen. In the hustle and bustle, live with a wisdom that transcends, carve a path in the ordinary, where movement is good, stillness is good, and remain undisturbed by praise or blame. Take what is offered, let go what is discarded, with no intention to hold on or leave. Amidst the chaos and noise, live with an inner tranquility and depth, or a serene peace, allowing fate to unfold in harmony. Untroubled by the mind, unentangled by emotions, not afraid of the future, not clinging to the past, thus living in peace.
36. If one truly cultivates the path of the Tao, they do not see the faults of the world; they constantly see their own faults, and when they do, they are aligned with the Tao. Why do we always seem to notice the faults and shortcomings of others? It's not because we have a pair of "fiery eyes" that can see through everything; it's because our own hearts are too narrow, unable to tolerate others' mistakes or shortcomings. It's also because our vision is poor, unable to see the merits in others.

44. If you can discover your own shortcomings with such accuracy as you observe others', then your life will be extraordinary. The first principle of learning Buddhism is never to focus on the faults of others. If you look at the faults of others, you will always pollute yourself, and you will never be able to practice. 46. Unchanging in the face of change, and change in the face of unchanging. A life that follows its own path can only shine brightly when built upon the foundation of moral principles; and the unchanging principles must also be honed through the vicissitudes of life to achieve stability. Following one's path is something that requires learning, and no one can complete the learning of following their path without experiencing the suffering of adverse circumstances. 61. When the mind moves, things move; when the mind is still, things are still. A foolish thought cuts off Prajna (wisdom), while a wise thought gives rise to Prajna. By using things to control things, things can be controlled; by perceiving things as not things, things are not things. Things cannot claim the merit of names, and names cannot grasp the essence of things. Since names and things are not real, as the Buddha said: "Life does not bring it, and death does not take it away." (This is a quote from the Buddhist scriptures.)

65. Easily wakened at dawn and dusk, easily drunk by intoxication, illusions in this life mislead this life. Fourteen verses of "Catastrophe of the Country."
66. Seek not externally, but recognize the self-bodhi within. Through the refining of the body with form, on the path of non-action, you will attain the realization of the Buddha.

The Buddha also said, "You love my heart, and I am compassionate towards your form; therefore, due to causality, over countless eons, we have been constantly entangled." (Lengyan Sutra Volume)
72. In life, there is no fixed rule for birth and death. We come to this world temporarily and then leave, just like the moon which has both full and waning phases; just like flowers that bloom and wither. This lifetime's birth is a continuation of last lifetime's death. If there was no death in a past life, how could one be born in this life? And if wisdom is not clear and bright in this life, how can one maintain blessings, wisdom, and a human body in the next life?

73. People with virtue, by appreciating the merits of others, make their lives brighter; by praising the good deeds of others, they make their virtue more perfect; by contemplating their own hearts, they bring forth greater love and wisdom. 74.
74. All phenomena arise from causes and conditions; all phenomena cease from causes and conditions. The arising and ceasing of phenomena, the Buddha says, are all empty. In the Dharma Body Sutra, it is said: "All phenomena arise from causes and conditions, I say they arise from causes and conditions. Because the causes and conditions are exhausted, they thus cease; I make such a statement." Buddhist Canon.

Emptying the eyes of everything and forsaking the heart are also the Buddha.
77. The person who troubles you is here to help you; the one who causes you pain is here to liberate you; the one who makes you resent is a VIP in your life; the one you dislike is helping you grow. They are all different aspects of yourself, another version of yourself. Conversely, the things you deeply love often bring you pain and trouble, they are your shadows, making you always unable to grasp them. Therefore, maintaining a good attitude to face them is the truth.

81. The weight of life lies in how much you can bear; the value of life lies in how much you can dedicate; the authenticity of life lies in how much you can know yourself. Life is not a process of taking and receiving, but a process of realization and awakening amidst the various trials of life. Being blessed without arrogance brings no misfortune; facing misfortune without fear is indeed a blessing. In handling matters, look at responsibility; in adversity, look at one's breadth of mind; in one's emotions, look at one's cultivation; in one's actions, look at one's courage. A bit of busyness is a blessing, as it avoids boredom; facing some slander is not a misfortune, as it can broaden your mind. Friends with a light heart are serene and distant; friends with a focus on benefits both suffer.
82. Finally achieve the fruit of one's efforts. As the Buddha said: "When misfortune departs, fortune arrives." As the Buddha also said: "Without form and without appearance, without anger and without madness."
83. We often feel that the Buddha possesses great supernatural power when we pray to him. However, what truly gives the Buddha his divine power is causality and good intentions. Causality is the unbreakable law of the world, and everything we are experiencing now is the result of our past actions. Everything we are about to encounter is also the result of our current actions. Our thoughts lead to good or evil deeds, and these deeds, in turn, determine our fortune and misfortune. Therefore, praying to the Buddha is actually praying to ourselves.
