1. 学而时习之,不亦说乎。 (论语学而)

11. 翻译:对可以交往的人而不与之交往,是错失了人;对不可以交谈的人而与之交谈,是失言。他认为只有聪明人(知者)才能做到既不失人又不失言。
11. Translation: Not associating with someone who is worthy of interaction is a missed opportunity; conversing with someone who is not suitable for discussion is a verbal faux pas. He believes that only the wise (the knowledgeable) can achieve the balance of neither missing out on people nor making a verbal misstep.

12. Confucius said: A gentleman desires to be slow in speech and quick in action.

26. Translation: It means that it is not considered shameful to ask for advice from someone who is of lower status or less learned than oneself. Therefore, the written word can be used as his posthumous title.
