1. After the second couplet of the poem, when the "rise" and "continue" are done, it's time for the "turn" to begin. At this point, the writer has reached a slight pause in the emotional flow of the text, neither fully concluding nor leaving it open-ended, with meanings yet to be elaborated. Below this, a stroke of the brush seems to initiate a new "rise." The pen's movement may be like a peak soaring up suddenly, or like lotus roots with their strands still connected, or pushing the pen to veer off, or making it clear that what seems slow is actually tight... The techniques may vary, but the spirit and logic of the poem are coherent, with a turning point yet consistently focused throughout. It was at this moment that Yu Xi composed the famous line, "The tears of the pearl in the sea under the moon."
2. The tears of the pearl in the boundless sea, and the smoke rising from the jade warmed by the sun in Lan Tai, both evoke a sense of desolation and warmth that deeply permeates us, entwining and lingering. When the moon is bright and the night is quiet, the oyster opens its chest to the moon, nurturing its pearl with the essence of the moonlight, thus achieving its luster, but the pearl weeps. "When the moon is dark, the oyster is hollow," despite all the efforts of "one inch of longing turns into one inch of ash," we still cannot escape the cycle of life. How crazy is it for an individual to cling to life!
3. The Song of the Gentleman: Nalan Xingde The spring clouds scattered, the Xiangliu curtain torn apart, Rainflakes sticky, butterflies flying back and forth. The person is in the jade tower, The tower high, winds from all four sides, Willow mist, a handful of dusk shrouding the lovebird tiles. Do not come near the small balustrade, Sunset endless, mountains clear and bright. Highly soar in the mountains north and south, Many graves and fields, people visiting and cleaning on Qingming Day. Cremated ashes turn into white butterflies, Tears and blood staining the red azalea blossoms.
4. Suddenly, the butterfly slowly rose from the desk and danced gracefully in my small space. Its dance was so beautiful, drawing one beautiful arc after another in the air. I stood there, dumbfounded, supporting my chin with my hand, foolishly watching it dance. It danced gently and slowly, as if in a dreamy, elusive vision, and I was completely captivated by its enchanting beauty...
5. It seems that Yu Xi's "Spring Love Entrusted to the杜鹃," by using the冤禽 (wronged bird) to express resentment, and "The beauty laments the fleeting years of youth" by proposing the word "resentment," exactly hits the mark. Yu Xi's poem about the zhen si (silk stringed musical instrument), is not just ordinary trivial feelings, but within it there is a profound and deep love that is also filled with resentment.
6. The silken zither, without reason, has fifty strings, each string and pillar thinking of the years of youth. What is the silken zither? The "Records of History: An Account of the Ancestral Sacrifice" says: "It is said that the Great Emperor sent Su Nü to play the fifty-string zither, and the zither played a melancholic tune. The emperor was so moved by the sorrow that he could not stop his grief, so he broke the zither into twenty-five strings." It turns out that the silken zither can also express joy and sorrow. Such an object is especially sorrowful. How can a person bear it! As the setting sun approaches, the inner strings of the mind of Yi Shan are stirred by this faintly sorrowful melody, and an invisible melancholy spreads everywhere; the passing years flow like water, each string and pillar recording our years. When we face the setting sun with our pale faces, will we also express these thoughts of youth?
7. Dew heavy on the flowers, smoke low from the grass, the curtains of houses hang down. The swing lazily weary, she unfastens her robes, while the double swallows return to the painted beam.
8. Zhuangzi dreams of a butterfly and is confused, the emperor's spring heart entrusts itself to the杜鹃. Zhuang Zhou entangles the world between half dream and half awake. He is enlightened yet doesn't know where to go. The emperor feels ashamed of his virtue and yields to the virtuous, opening a retreat on the western mountain. His soul transforms into a bird, named Du Yu. It is February when the blood-crying杜鹃 cries, its sound is mournful. Those who fade away cannot avoid the sorrow of the mortal world. This is the contradiction deep within human nature, the collision between reason and emotion.

11. We entered a greenhouse, and oh my! Butterflies were fluttering everywhere in the air, flashing their wings as if a woman were displaying her beauty to people! These butterflies were colorful, with patterns on their wings that were both striking and subdued, noble and dignified, exuding an aura of majestic beauty!
12. The shadows of the past still follow us closely. We strive to forget those past events, pushing them to the back of our minds, but they can reappear at any moment.
13. Varying in shape and colorfully diverse. Some are as large as a palm, while others are as small as a fingernail; some resemble the colorful leaves fluttering in a forest, others like colorful streamers dancing in the air during festivals; some are adorned with English letters, others have spots that resemble Arabic numerals, and still others have spots that seem like playful children winking...

15. The lips haven't even opened, and they've already caused harm to each other. The date hasn't been set, and there's no desire to anticipate it. The phone hasn't been hung up, and the emotions have already decayed. I wish you were a butterfly, coming and going quickly. Give me a pair of hands, and I'll depend on you. Give me a pair of eyes, and I'll watch you leave. Just like a butterfly cannot fly over the sea, no one dares to blame. Give me a moment, and I'll cherish you. Give me a lifetime, and I'll send you away. We wait for the dawn, but the beautiful dream wakes up, and we are all free and easy.

20. If a person is overly sensitive and not well-versed in the world, many things that are actually not meant to be malicious may sound like they are insinuating or making veiled criticisms.
21. The dreamy and passionate Li Shangyin, adept at using a looping and repetitive ode to evoke certain emotions, prefers to follow the train of thought, guiding the mood, and sing and play a series of enigmatic, bitter, and sorrowful poems that leave one pondering endlessly and full of aftertastes...
22. I looked around and found a butterfly in the midst of the flowers. I tiptoed up to it, and saw it standing on the petals, busily sipping nectar from the flowers. I picked up a net, leaped forward, and the net covered the butterfly. It struggled fiercely within the net, flapping its wings and flying around. Excitedly, I exclaimed, "Caught it, caught it!" I carefully held the butterfly's wings and gently placed it into a transparent glass bottle.
23. Yuxi's life experience is filled with unutterable pain and profound sadness, which is deeply rooted in his heart and expressed through verses. These verses convey a sense of melancholy and subtlety, moving back and forth with a deep emotional resonance. In one of his farewell poems, he says: "Yu Xun was born with many feelings, and Yang Zhu died with love; in the midst of danger, the woman plays the zither, and in the cold of armor, she thinks of the zhu.…" It is understandable that the zither and the guqin are associated with the deep, sorrowful emotions of life and death. Following this line of thought, I believe that if it is said that the poems of the "Brocade Guqin" contain the sorrow of parting and separation, it is probably not entirely a matter of conjecture.
24. The underside of the butterfly's wings is a delicate green, adorned with beautiful patterns, while their upper surface is golden. Amidst their dense ranks, there are occasionally a few large pink butterflies with a black ground, red bodies, and flowing streamers, as if they deliberately come to serve as a decoration.
25. Butterflies are beautiful, adorned with flowers, each one colorful in its own way. They flutter gracefully, light and composed, like young girls, charming and endearing, evoking admiration. Butterflies are the embodiment and synonym of wonderful things. The story of Liang Zhu turning into a butterfly and Zhuang Zhou dreaming of a butterfly is almost universally known, a tale told in every household. Even ordinary people and even great people like Zhuang Zhou are incredibly reverent towards butterflies. But why is that? I think it's because we, as humans, place too much importance on our bodies and not enough on our souls. Or, perhaps deep down inside, we all secretly long for a life as free and unrestricted as that of a butterfly. On sunny days, butterflies ride the wind, soaring in the sky, dancing gracefully, flitting up and down, stopping and turning back occasionally. They seem weightless, their wings so large and their bodies so small. Butterflies carry their insignificant bodies with large, delicate wings, which is too easy. Is this not just an insect? Perhaps, it is precisely because of this that butterflies give people a sense of ethereal elegance.
26. Dreams are far, and sorrow follows the butterfly; deep affection brings shame to the magpie. Gently caressing the lonely, my heart is heavy all day long, my life and fate still float like drifting reeds.

27. The two lines of the neck couplet convey the dualities of yin and yang, cold and warm, as well as the beauty of jade and pearls. Although the realms are different, the feeling of regret is the same. The poet regards this noble sentiment with admiration and perseverance, yet at the same time, he dares not desecrate it, and expresses his sorrow and regret.
28. I hope to preserve this moment in front of me and never forget it.

29. ----- Wang菲's song, Hu Yanbin - Butterfly The happiness of two willing hearts, what is wrong? Being unreasonable, blocking the way is more cruel than abduction. The worldly concept of matching families has harmed countless innocent lovers who cannot be together. In this world, there are so many helpless clouds gathering, and the road to marriage has already determined the destination in the heart. For love, he has given his life, which has ended and transformed into a butterfly dancing in the sky, dazzlingly brilliant, a vivid blueprint of life. Facing the morning dew, carefree and unrestricted, to a free land, even if it is just a tree. Why be obsessed with the ugliness of the world? It's better to be with the spider. The song Liang Zhu is passed down through the ages, your sorrowful cries are like tears. The happiness of two willing hearts, what is wrong? Being unreasonable, blocking the way is more cruel than abduction. The worldly concept of matching families has harmed countless innocent lovers who cannot be together. In this world, there are so many helpless clouds gathering, and the road to marriage has already determined the destination in the heart. For love, he has given his life, which has ended and transformed into a butterfly dancing in the sky, dazzlingly brilliant, a vivid blueprint of life. 33. The shadows of the past follow us relentlessly. We strive to forget those past events, to push them to the back of our minds, but they always seem to reappear, bringing with them an inexplicable sense of panic and unease deep within us.
34. For the poet Yu Xi, the realm of the moonlit sea is imbued with a particularly profound sentiment. Once, due to illness, he was unable to attend the "Joyful Camp Banquet" hosted by He Dong Gong, and composed the line, "Only the moonlit sea, towering above the crimson city's glow." It appears that he has a complex, unexpressible longing for this realm. On one hand, he greatly admires its vastness, clarity, and purity; on the other hand, he feels deeply melancholic about its desolate solitude. This complex, inexpressible longing is evident in his words.

42. This feeling can only be cherished as a memory, but at the time, it was already desolate. What is this feeling? It is desolation, nothing but desolation, sadness, nothing but sadness. Liang Qichao said frankly, "As for the poems like 'Jin She' ('Embroidered Lute'), 'Bi Cheng' ('Green City'), and 'Sheng Nu Ci' ('Temple of the Holy Maiden') by Yi Shan, what are they about? I can't tell. If you break them down and ask me to explain each line, I can't even understand the meaning of the words. But I feel that they are beautiful, and reading them gives me a fresh pleasure in spirit. You must know that beauty is multifaceted, and it has a mysterious quality." 46.
46. The two opening lines have been widely misunderstood by annotators, who believe that this can prove that the poet was already "fifty years old" or "nearing fifty" at the time of writing this piece. However, this is not the case. "无端" means "for no reason" or "without cause." This is the poet's foolish talk. The guqin has always had so many strings, and there is nothing wrong or flawed about that; but the poet insists on complaining: Why do you need so many strings, O guqin? The guqin has always had a certain number of strings, and how many strings it had by the time of Li Shangyin, are actually not something that needs to be "authenticated." The poet is merely using it as a device to express his words and intentions. According to records, ancient guqins had fifty strings, which is why Yu Xiusi often used the number "fifty" when writing about the guqin, such as "The rain beats on the Xiang spirit's guqin with fifty strings," and "Therefore, divide the fifty strings into gong and zheng in the middle." All these can prove that there was no special intention behind the poet's use of this number.
47. Upon closer inspection, everywhere are colorful butterflies: they flit up and down in the vegetable plots, landing on the vegetable blossoms one moment and on the vegetable leaves the next, appearing so joyful. 50.
50. "The lute, with no reason, has fifty strings, each string and each pillar thinking of the years. Zhuangzi's morning dream was confused with a butterfly, the Emperor's spring heart entrusted to the杜鹃; tears in the sea, smoke from jade in the warm sun of Lan Tian. Can this love be cherished as a memory? But at that time, it was already lost in confusion." Is this a sigh? Is it a lifelong regret? What is he saying? It is so sorrowful that one cannot ponder, and so painful that one can hardly let go; is it a melancholic feeling that is both near and far? Or is it the waiting that is as deep as the autumn water? Or perhaps it is a曲折 and subtle self-pity...

54. The most classic line is - The butterfly cannot fly over the sea! ~ If you're writing an essay, following the lyrics can also be quite good. I used to often use this trick. You can also name the topic "Butterfly Over the Sea." If you don't want to write about love, you can turn it into a representation of perseverance for something, which can be seen as a good thought: If there is no sincere waiting on the other shore, the butterfly will never be able to fly over the sea.

57. Then, is there any connection or implication that can be deciphered between the sea moon, teardrop, and the lute? Isn't the famous line from Qian Qi's ode to the lute already saying, "With the twenty-five strings plucking the night moon, the inexpressible sorrow flies to me"? Therefore, the lute is suitable for moonlit nights, and the sorrow is especially profound. In this case, the scene of the sea moon being bright, and its connection with the lute, is not something that can be explored?
58. Just like a butterfly cannot fly over the sea, no one would dare to blame. Give me a moment, and I will cherish you.

59. If only we could invent something that could bottle memories like perfume, how wonderful that would be. Let memories never fade or decay. When needed, just twist the cap to bring the past vividly back to life.
60. The late Tang Dynasty poet Si Kongtu quoted a passage from Dai Shulun, who lived earlier than him: "The beautiful scenes of poetry, like the warm sun over Lantian, the mist rising from fine jade, can be seen but not placed before one's eyes." The eight-character metaphor here is almost identical to the seven-character sentence in the second line of the poem's antithetical couplet, which shows that this metaphor has another origin. Unfortunately, the ancient texts have been lost, making it difficult to find the original source. Today, there is no reference for interpreting this sentence, and it is also difficult to say whether the quote from Dai's words as an explanation is appropriate. The Jin Dynasty litterateur Lu Ji had a couplet in his "Essay on Literature": "The mountain shines with the hidden jade, the river is charming with the embraced pearl." Lantian is a mountain name located in the southeast of Lantian County, Shaanxi, which is a famous place for producing jade. This mountain is bathed in the warm sunlight, and the jade's spiritual aura (which ancient people believed all treasures have a kind of light that is invisible to the naked eye) rises gently. The spirit of the beautiful jade can be seen from a distance, but not up close, so it can be seen but not placed before one's eyes. This represents an exceptionally beautiful ideal landscape, which is beautiful but unattainable and unreachable. The lines in Yu X溪's work are inspired by this and use the warm sun over Lantian to counterbalance the previous line's "sea reflecting the moon," creating a striking and intense contrast. In terms of the literal meaning, Lantian is also a very neat match for the sea, because the character "cang" originally means blue. The meticulous use of vocabulary in Yu X溪's work also shows his talent and skill.

The sea's moon shines, tears in pearls, the jade smokes in the warm fields of Lan. This love can only be a memory in hindsight, but at the time, it was already lost in confusion."

65. All the butterflies in the grass are white, fluttering like snowballs in the air. Although they are beautiful, they seem a bit monotonous and boring. Despite that, we still long for one, and we all pick up our brooms, clothes, and yell out to catch them. When we catch one, we get excited for a while!

68. The closing couplet ties together the entire poem, explicitly mentioning the word "this feeling," which echoes the word "youth" at the beginning, and the author's writing style does not evade this point. The meaning of the poem is: Such feelings, why should one only feel endless regret in回忆 today? Even at that time, it was already enough to cause deep melancholy — the phrase "why should one wait for回忆" actually implies: Then how should one feel regret now when reminiscing? The poet expresses several layers of complexity with just two sentences, and these layers of complexity are all intended to illustrate the painful feeling of melancholy. The essence of poetry lies in this, and the essence of Yu Xi's poetry lies even more so in this aspect.
69. This strange butterfly looks like a withered leaf hanging upside down on a tree from a distance. If you reach out to pluck that leaf, it flies away instead.
70. ("On Poetry Thirty Poems") The term "华年" is the beautiful youth as referred to in modern language. The most crucial "focus" of this poem by Yu Xi is on the peak of youth, which is why the statement "I am fifty years old" then reminisces about "forty-nine years" is actually just a roundabout way of thinking.
71. "A string and a pillar, thinking of the prime of youth," the key is in the words "prime of youth." A string and a pillar means one note and one rhythm. The guqin has fifty strings, and the richness of the notes and rhythms is known. The complex and quick rhythms often leave the listener in a difficult position to hold on to their emotions. The poet certainly does not mean to ask people to nitpick "numbers." What he is saying is: Listening to the rich strings of the jade stream, thinking of past events in the prime of youth; the notes are complex and the threads are tangled, leading to a sense of desolation and difficulty in expressing. The fifty strings set up are precisely for "creating an atmosphere," to show the multitude of past events and the intricate feelings. To appreciate this poem by Yuxi, one should first understand this meaning, and should not be overly rigid in interpreting it. The Song Dynasty poet He Zhen said, "Who is to share the prime of youth with the jade stream guqin?" ("Qing Yu An") The Yuan Dynasty poet Yuan Haowen said, "The beauty is resentful of the prime of youth with the jade stream guqin!"

I believe that perhaps one of the owner's friends intends to temporarily leave you and wants to immerse themselves in poetry~~~ This poem inherently has a sense of near and far, and many people cannot fathom its true meaning. 80.
80. The first line of the couplet uses an allegory from the Zhuangzi, which tells the story of Zhuang Zhou dreaming that he becomes a butterfly, fluttering gracefully in the air... completely forgetting that he is still Zhuang Zhou himself; later when he wakes up, he is still Zhuang Zhou, but he doesn't know where the butterfly has gone. Yu Xi's line here describes: a beautiful woman playing a silk zither, a melody played on the strings, startled the poet out of his dream, and he could no longer sleep. "Mí" contains the meanings of being lost, leaving, and not arriving. Let's see what he says in "Thoughts on a Late Autumn Evening": "The cold pillow where the butterfly Zhuang went," "went" refers to leaving or passing away, which is also what he calls "mí." The dream of the butterfly, although derived from Zhuangzi, has become more than just a "fluttering gracefully" issue after Yu Xi's application. It subtly contains a beautiful scenario, yet it is an ethereal dream. The second line of this couplet refers to the "King of Shu," a legendary ruler of Shu during the late Zhou Dynasty, named Du Yu. After abdicating the throne and withdrawing, he was unfortunately killed in the national collapse. After his death, his soul transformed into a bird, crying bitterly in the late spring until its mouth bled, and its sound was so sad and heart-wrenching that it moved the hearts of people. It is known as the杜鹃. The杜鹃's spring cry, what does it have to do with the silk zither? It turns out that the complex melodies of the zither evoke endless sadness and unexpressed grievances in the poet, like hearing the mournful sound of the杜鹃, bidding spring farewell. The word "tuō" (entrust) not only describes Du Yu entrusting his spring-hearted longing to the杜鹃, but also the beautiful woman entrusting her spring-hearted longing to the zither. In the act of waving the hand and sending a farewell glance, the flowers fall and the water flows, the poet's wonderful pen and extraordinary emotions have already reached a climax.

86. Before people could even read the words, he recited the lines, "Meeting is hard, parting is hard, the east wind has no power over the hundred flowers..." It seemed perplexing and hard to understand at first glance, yet there was an indescribable sense of empathy and震撼 that intertwined with the poet's deeply moving sincerity. Perhaps it was not just a farewell song or an ode to love, but seemed to transcend all matters of life and death, gain and loss, truth and falsity. It left behind a profound and endless story of tender, flowing sentiments, drifting away with the passage of time...
