7. "Night Rain Sent to the North," selected from "Li Yishan's Poetic Collection," is a well-known lyric piece by the poet Li Shangyin, written to his wife who was far away in the north. At that time, the poet was hindered by autumnal rain and stranded in the area of Jingba, while his wife sent a letter from home to inquire about his return date. However, with the continuous rain and interrupted transportation, the date of his return could not be determined, so he replied: "You ask about the day of my return, but there is no set date." This sentence asks and answers, with a flowing and expressive rhythm, revealing the poet's sorrow of being stranded in a foreign land and uncertainty about when he would return.
