In the boundless universe, life is as small as dust. However, under this endless sky, we write our own legends with extraordinary courage and unwavering belief.

1. The happiness I envision is not a fleeting moment, but a state that is ordinary and enduring. It has nothing exciting about it on its own, but the longer it lasts, the more intoxicating it becomes.

2. Life's journey is long and winding, why seek uniformity in everything? All roads lead to Rome; only by taking a wrong turn can one understand the concept of roundness. The sun rises and sets, the moon waxes and wanes; all things are impermanent. In life, there will always be a few hurdles to overcome, and the taste of life will always have a bit of bitterness. Some things, one cannot help, so just go with the flow; some people, one cannot force, so just laugh it off; some paths, one cannot avoid, so just go all in; some principles, one cannot explain, so why argue? Different paths lead to different people, and it is the beauty of a thousand colors of flowers blooming.

3. On that day, a diminutive figure appeared in the court of Athens. Facing the familiar crowd before him and the law he held in the highest reverence, he did not falter. He gave up any chance of escape, stood in the courtroom, calm, took a fatal sip, and then collapsed. This giant standing at the peak of the light of reason vowed to die in the defense of his duties and his beloved city. He considered himself a gadfly, granted to Athens this spirited horse, and he clearly understood that before the startled horse rears and gallops off, the gadfly would surely be trampled underfoot. In order to defend his beloved city, he was willing to be this gadfly. Standing alone at the peak, though solitary, he was also content. Here, he upheld his back, with his unwavering stance, sowing the seeds of reason upon the earth.

4. As a high school student who is by no means naive or inexperienced, I navigated through the company of those towering and familiar giants, seeing the brilliance in them that spurred me on to keep moving forward. With the devout faith of a Tibetan pilgrim and the phoenix's rebirth from the ashes, I embarked on an exploration of the heights of life.

5. At night, full of negative energy to the point of doubting life itself, but during the day, I can live like an idiot, grinning from ear to ear; maybe: this is life, isn't it?

6. Therefore, one can understand one's destiny at the age of fifty, which means by this time, one can basically achieve the state of "not blaming heaven, not blaming others," reaching the level of Confucius, which is a kind of inner strength. In fact, in Zhuangzi's "Free and Easy Wandering," there is also such an expression. "Free and Easy Wandering" says, "to be praised by the whole world without seeking encouragement, to be criticized by the whole world without being disheartened, to determine the boundaries between the inner and outer, to distinguish between honor and disgrace, that is enough." What does this mean? "To be praised by the whole world" refers to the time when the whole world is praising you, encouraging you, and urging you to take a step forward, but without seeking encouragement. This encouragement is the encouragement to be encouraged, meaning that if you go another step further, do more under others' encouragement and tolerance, he says he won't. "To be criticized by the whole world" refers to the time when the whole world is blaming you, censuring you, and saying you are wrong. To maintain inner composure and not be disheartened, this is what it means to "determine the boundaries between the inner and outer."

7. The sorrows of life are intertwined with gains and losses, accompanied by right and wrong, and coexist with success and failure. The true essence of happiness is not found in joy at gaining, but in calmness after losing. No matter how good something is, holding on too tightly will eventually tire you out. Remember to be grateful for what you once had; learn to let go of the beauty you missed; learn to bear the pressure of spirit; and love the straightforward life wholeheartedly. It is only when you understand the goodness of losing and avoid the pain of obsession that happiness will truly come.

8. In a person's life, they will meet two individuals: one who shocks the time, and one who softens the years.

9. We are accustomed to observing others' expressions and trying to please them, hoping to gain their approval and praise, while fearing their belittlement and criticism. However, no matter how hard we try, it is often difficult to influence others' opinions of us. It's better to go with the flow instead of being anxious in the world of others. Let them think and see as they wish, as long as you don't care, they will never be able to affect you.

10. Be a person of strong inner character, and we will be invincible in all endeavors.

11. With the evening twilight and the morning bell, the ancient stone pillars of Athens are telling people a story of unwavering commitment. Socrates, this tireless soul, often stands alone on the peak, gazing at the passersby, imparting the light of reason.

12. Anything that happiness cannot heal, no medicine can cure.

13. Life is a one-way journey; even if there are some regrets, we don't have the chance to start over. It's better to smile and cherish the future rather than dwell on the past that cannot be changed. Because life, there is no "if."

14. If you are a lion and someone curses you as a dog, you won't really become a dog, so there is no need to be angry about it; if you are a dog and someone praises you as a lion, you won't really become a lion, so there is no need to be joyful about it. Therefore, others' praise won't make you better; others' criticism won't make you worse. There is nothing to be obsessed about. We should treat others' evaluations of us with such a mindset.

15. Language is often very deceitful; it's the shared experiences that are the most real.

16. When one is young, the most troublesome thing is to decide what to do in this life.

17. Do not always linger in the memories of the past, and do not always want yesterday's gloomy rain to dampen today's luggage. The sun of yesterday cannot dry today's clothes.

18. When the relentless storms of life come crashing down, women should pause to admire the rainbow after the rain, rather than wallow in the harm brought by the storms. Let the resplendent rainbow guide your thoughts to become braver, happier, calmer, and more powerful.

19. "If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl. But no matter what, keep moving forward."

20. People who like climbing mountains often feel a sense of "looking down upon all mountains" after going through difficulties and thorns. At the same time, they also have a feeling of minuteness, "regretting the fleetingness of my life." Such sentiments are common among ordinary people, but there is no need to indulge in them excessively. When you reach a certain peak, don't forget that there are still other mountains waiting for you behind you.

21. It was as if I had waited a hundred years and then suddenly realized that it would be better not to see each other even if we were to meet, and to perform maturely.

24. Life is short, only a few decades, the most important thing is to satisfy oneself, not to please others.

25. Life is like a train heading towards the grave, with many stops along the way, and it's rare for anyone to accompany you from start to finish. When the person accompanying you decides to get off, even though it's hard to let go, you should be grateful in your heart and then wave goodbye.

26. The greatest happiness in life is to firmly believe that someone loves me. As for the past, it should not be forgotten, but it should be let go. Because there is a tomorrow, today will always just be the starting line. Life is charming when simple, and happiness lies in a simple heart; actually, learning to be simple is not simple at all.

27. To truly love someone is to let them live a happy life. The way to love someone doesn't necessarily mean being together, and love that is together can be the most selfish. Do you really like your best friend's lover? Would you truly be happy being with her? There are too many things to consider. True love, great love, should be about giving the other person happiness, not about being together with them every day, or possessing them. Although no one can be so great, I think we can try to guide ourselves to act this way.

28. Always forgive your enemies; nothing can make them angrier than that.

31. Every successful person is an ascetic, and only they themselves know how much loneliness and misunderstanding lie on the path to success.

32. Eileen Chang wrote: "Even if individuals can wait, time is fleeting, and there is already destruction; there will be even greater destruction to come." Therefore, one should strive for fame early, to reach the peak of the heavens beyond and the people beyond." I don't think so. A mountain naturally has its summit, middle, and foot. If one only chases the peak, then isn't the space below empty?

33. Even if time were to reverse and life were to replay, I would still choose the same path.

34. When faced with difficulties, the stronger a woman is, the more she exudes a respect and aching appeal that commands admiration. Strength is not stubbornness nor is it brute force; it allows the wounded woman to look to the horizon, giving herself a reason to casually live life. Strong women use a key to unlock their hearts; they borrow a patch of blue sky to embrace the sunlight. They also find a shoulder to let their tears flow freely. They have loved, suffered, cried, and laughed, and then continue to be strong.

37. Do not easily depend on someone, as it will become a habit. When the time for separation comes, what you lose is not just a person, but the支柱 of your spirit. At any time and place, learn to walk independently, which will make you feel more at ease.

38. If you love me, love all of me, not just the bright me, or the dark me; if you love me, love the black and white me, the gray me, the green me, the golden me, the brown me; love the me of day, the me of night, and the me leaning against the window before dawn; if you love me, do not love only part of me, but all of me; otherwise, do not love me. --- Dumaloyanas

39. Humans are not birds, but rather beings with feet firmly planted on the ground. It is better to concentrate on walking your own path properly than to strain one's brain in pursuit of high peaks. Believe that one day, when you look back, the peak will be right there, amidst the twinkling lights.

43. With my mouth I pretend to be strong, but tears in my eyes surrender. I can deceive others, but not myself. It turns out that I am not as strong as I thought.

44. Have you always been alone? Have you ever had a partner? Do you know what will happen to you? Do you know? I don't know. I don't know why I am like this. I don't know. I look at myself in the mirror and can only recognize these pairs of pupils. Growing on this old face. You know, sometimes I feel like I wasn't born in the right time. Maybe both of us are relics.

45. Let the heart stand at a high place, it is a vast perspective of "not fearing the floating clouds to obscure the eyes"; let the heart stand at a high place, you can experience the heroic beauty of "the boundless scenery is on the dangerous peaks"; let the heart stand at a high place, we have the heroic spirit of "we shall ascend the peak, and from there, look down on all the other mountains as small".

46. As long as one feels at peace within, it matters not which direction one faces. If there is someone who has not yet crossed over, one must not escape oneself.

47. Stop halfway up the mountain, savoring it lightly. Climbing to the peak means the collapse of faith, life becomes devoid of meaning and taste.

52. Some paths seem absurdly long when walked with someone, while with others they are so short that it's hard to take the first step.

53. After Li Ning shed tears in Han City and silently retired from the sports field, he did not stop exploring the heights of his own life. He immersed himself in the business world, using high-quality sports equipment to benefit the sports community, and the spirit of "everything is possible" of Li Ning deeply rooted in everyone's hearts. Liu Xiang became famous as the "Asian Flying Man," but in the 2008 Olympic Games, he silently left the field amidst the anticipation of the entire world. Under the doubts of the outside world and the tortures of foot injuries, he refused to give up, gradually recovered in the diary without flowers and applause, and once again entered the sports field as a dark horse, becoming a champion again and creating another miracle. Different methods have the same goal, which is to climb to the peak of one's own life, although the process is so arduous.

55. "From the side, it looks like a range of mountains, from the front, it looks like a peak; near and far, high and low, each has its own distinct view." It is because of the different perspectives that people have different opinions. There is a Jewish saying, "There is no unsellable bean." The reason is that if the beans cannot be sold, you can water them and let them grow into bean sprouts to sell; if they still can't be sold, you can cultivate them into seedlings, and then transplant them into pots to sell; if the potted plants still can't be sold, you can simply plant them in the soil, and they can grow into thousands of beans. Therefore, the peak in front of you is not an obstacle to your progress. It should be seen as an opportunity or a challenge, where you can fully display your abilities, showcase your talents, and carve out a path of your own.

56. Be esteemed by the world without seeking for it, and be criticized by the world without being disheartened. Whether the whole world adores you or curses you, do not let it sway your composure. Do your own thing, live your own life, take your own path, and let others speak as they may.

58. I have found the way of reading the "Six Classics" to be very bitter, requiring a life of study until my hair turns white, having read all the books, before I can start annotating and understand everything. However, there is a higher level called "The 'Six Classics' annotating me," where truly good learning is to integrate all the classics and use them to interpret one's own life. That is to say, at the age of thirty, in the cultural coordinate of ancient Chinese people, it is the age of building self-confidence for the soul. It does not lie in forming opposition to many external things, but in forming a fusion and an upgrade, like a couplet on the Tai Mountain, "When the sea reaches its end, the sky becomes the shore; when I reach the summit of the mountain, I become the peak." This is the Chinese perception of mountains and rivers, which is never about conquest, but about the mountains and rivers elevating oneself, just as when the sea reaches its end, it has no boundary. When life reaches the top of the mountains, it is not an exaggerated statement that I trample the high mountains under my feet, but that I myself become a peak on the summit. In fact, this is a kind of interpretation of "The 'Six Classics' annotating me." Therefore, "At thirty, one should stand firm" should be understood as Confucius teaching his students a simple, minimalist way of life. Many things that shouldn't be worried about shouldn't be worried about, just do what's in front of you. We know that Confucius actually does not talk much about gods and spirits, which is what is called "Confucius never speaks of the strange, the powerful, the chaotic, or the divine." When students ask about these things, he takes a defensive attitude. Once a student asked about ghosts and spirits, (voice off) "Teacher, are there really ghosts and spirits? What are they all about?" Confucius calmly told him, "If you haven't done well in the human world, why should you worry about the affairs of ghosts and spirits?" So, the teacher calmly told him, "If you haven't served people well, how can you serve ghosts?" Have you served the human world well? Your learning should be simple and start from what's in front of you, learn about interpersonal relationships, and don't think about ghosts and spirits. Later, he asked another esoteric question, (voice off) "Teacher, people will die in the end, what happens to the dead?" "If you haven't understood life, how can you talk about death?" The teacher calmly told him, "If you don't know life, how can you know death?" In fact, these six words "If you don't know life, how can you know death?" are a kind of enlightenment for us. That is, in the early stages of learning, we should first learn and establish what we can grasp in our lives as much as possible and not exceed our age to consider those distant or mystical things. Only in this way can we learn little by little, and when we reach the age of standing firm, we can truly stand firm. So, what is meant by "At thirty, one should stand firm" is not an external social coordinate to measure how successful you have become, but an internal standard of the soul, to determine whether your life has started to have a kind of introspection of the soul, and be composed and calm; start to have confidence and determination in what you do. I know that many Chinese scholars do things without seeking utilitarian purposes. Liu Zongyuan's poem says, "Fishing alone in the cold river snow." Let's think about it, in such a cold winter, the lonely old man in the distance, what is he fishing for? No one can catch fish in winter, but he goes fishing for the snow. This is what the people of the Wei and Jin dynasties said, when you visit friends, you can cross the Shu Xi River in one night, climb over mountains and rivers to your friend's door, and return without knocking. Why do I miss this friend? I come with enthusiasm and return with satisfaction. That is to say, do something truly believed in by the heart beyond utilitarianism, which is probably a standard for standing firm, that is, recognizing what kind of principles I should follow in my life. When such principles are lost in the past, and another ten years have passed, you will be "Not perplexed at forty."

59. In fact, when we reach the age of destiny, it reminds us of the realm of Du Qubai depicted by Jin Yong in his martial arts novels. That is to say, in the expression of Chinese martial arts novels, we often see that a young martial artist, when he first sets out, wields a unique and extremely sharp Qing Feng sword. At this time, all that萧萧剑气, that exuberant brilliance, is the peak of a person's brilliance. As he refines his martial arts skills and reaches his thirties, truly settling down and establishing his life, becoming a leader of a sect, or a famous martial artist in the江湖, this person may use a blunt sword without a blade, because sharpness is no longer important to him; his internal skills have become profound and strong. When this person reaches his forties, having become a great martial artist who shakes the江湖, having transcended various schools of martial arts and becoming an embodiment of righteousness, this person may only need a wooden stick, meaning that the sharpness and texture of metal are no longer important to him; just having such an external object is enough. And when he truly reaches the highest realm, what is the realm of Du Qubai, is the pursuit of a defeat that cannot be achieved, because at this point, the person does not have any weapons in his hands. At this moment, all the eighteen martial arts have become materialized, that is to say, his hands can release sword qi, and a swing may become a copper mallet. All the martial arts are within this person's heart and on his limbs. Therefore, why enemies cannot counter such moves or crack them is because you do not know how much martial arts he has integrated. So the realm of integration and mastery has always been the highest realm cherished by Chinese culture. What is known as "knowing one's destiny" is actually integrating all the various aspects of human life and the principles of human learning, finally reaching a state of integration and enhancement. After reaching this realm, as Confucius said, "at sixty, one's ears are in harmony."
