Ordinary people generally do not realize that blessings and disasters are interdependent, so they harbor a侥幸 attitude and try their luck. Therefore, because they are not prepared, they embark on their endeavors, and as a result, failure and disappointment occur frequently. Moreover, since they achieve success by chance, they only see the benefits and interests of it, but cannot perceive the potential harm or crisis it may hide. They are unaware of the natural law that where there is life, there must be death.

70. 利可共而不可独,谋可寡而不可众。独利则败,众谋则泄。

70. It is beneficial to share but not to be exclusive; it is better to seek advice from a few rather than from many. Exclusivity leads to failure, and seeking advice from too many leads to leakage.
