1. 人有至心求道,精进不止,会当克果,何愿不得?

1. If a person sincerely seeks the path and continually strives, they will surely achieve their goal, and what wish could they not fulfill?

2. 天道施张,自然纠举,茕茕忪忪,当入其中。古今有是,痛哉可伤。

2. The Way of Heaven administers and rectifies naturally, and the solitary and confused should enter into it. There has been such a thing in ancient and modern times, which is indeed painful and heartbreaking.

3. 诸佛经道,难得难闻。遇善知识,闻法能行,此亦为难。若闻斯经,信乐受持,难中之难,无过此难。

3. The teachings of all the Buddha's scriptures are difficult to find and hard to hear. Encountering a kind and knowledgeable teacher and being able to practice the Dharma upon hearing it is also a great challenge. If one hears this scripture, believes in it, takes joy in it, and holds onto it, this is the most difficult among the difficult, without any difficulty surpassing it.

4. 善护口业,不叽他过;善护身业,不失律仪;善护意业,清净无染。

4. Cultivate the virtue of speaking well, avoid speaking ill of others; cultivate the virtue of behavior, maintain proper discipline; cultivate the virtue of thought, remain pure and untainted.

5. 人在爱欲之中,独生独死,独去独来,苦乐自当,无有代者。善恶变化,追逐所生。道路不同,会见无期。

5. Amidst love and desire, one is born alone, dies alone, departs alone, arrives alone, bears joys and sorrows by oneself, and has no one to substitute for them. Good and evil change, pursuing what is born. Different paths lead to meetings that are unforeseen.

6. 三垢消灭,身意柔软,欢喜踊跃,善心生焉。

6. The three impurities are eliminated, the body and mind become soft and supple, joy and enthusiasm arise, and good thoughts arise.

7. 先人不善,不识道德,无有语者,殊无怪也。

7. It is not surprising that those who came before us were not virtuous, as they did not recognize morality and had nothing to say about it.

8. 人在爱欲中,独来独往,独生独灭,自得喜乐,无有旁代。

8. In the midst of love and desire, a person wanders alone, is born alone, and perishes alone, attaining joy without any successor.

9. 人在世间,爱欲之中, 独生独死,独去独来, 当行至趣,苦乐之地, 身自当之,无有代者。?>

9. In this world, amidst the loves and desires, each person lives and dies alone, comes and goes alone. When it comes to the destination of joy and suffering, it is the individual who experiences it, with no one else to take their place.

10. 开彼智慧眼,灭此昏盲暗,闭塞诸恶道,通达善趣门。

10. Open the eyes of wisdom, extinguish this dimness and blindness, block all evil paths, and open the gates to the paths of goodness.

11. 心中闭塞,意不开解。大命将终,悔惧交至。不豫修善,临时乃悔,悔之于后,将何及乎?

11. The heart is blocked, and understanding is hindered. As the great life draws to its end, regret and fear converge upon me. Not anticipating to cultivate good virtues and repenting only when faced with the final moment, what will I achieve in my regret afterwards?

12. 远离粗言,自害害彼,彼此俱害。修习善语,自利利人,人我兼利。

12. Keep away from coarse language, for it harms yourself and others, leading to mutual harm. Practice speaking kindly, which benefits yourself and others, achieving mutual benefit.

13. 改往修一,洒心易行,自然感降,所愿辄得。

13. Modify the path to be virtuous, the heart becomes easy to follow, and naturally the blessings descend, whatever is wished for is easily attained.

14. 为求法故,不生退屈谄伪之心。设入大火,不应疑悔。何以故?彼无量亿诸菩萨等,皆悉求此微妙法门,尊重听闻,不生违背。多有菩萨,欲闻此经而不能得,是故汝等应求此法。

14. Seeking the Dharma, one should not harbor feelings of retreat, reluctance, or deceit. Even if entering a great fire, one should not doubt or regret. Why is that? For countless billions of bodhisattvas, they all seek this profound Dharma door, respecting and listening to it without any contradiction. There are many bodhisattvas who wish to hear this sutra but cannot obtain it, therefore, you all should seek this Dharma.

15. 人于浮世,独来独往,独生独死,苦乐自当,无有代者。

15. In this world of transient existence, one comes alone, goes alone, is born alone, and dies alone. One experiences joys and sorrows by oneself, with no one to take one's place.

16. 人在世间,爱欲之中,独生独死,独去独来。

16. In the world, amidst love and desire, one is born alone, dies alone, and comes and goes alone.
