1. 孔子名丘,老家山东,几千年来几乎无人不知然而他在世时,并没有如此名气[[孔子家语]]说:孔子的西邻住着一老头,却不是邻居是啥大人物,每次提到孔子都会直呼其小名,说是俺东家之丘如何如何
1. Confucius was named Qiu, from the Shandong province, and for thousands of years, almost everyone knows his name. However, during his lifetime, he did not have such a reputation. As mentioned in the "Analects of Confucius": There was an old man living next to Confucius in the west, but he was not actually a neighbor. He was some important figure who would always call Confucius by his nickname and talk about how great his neighbor, Qiu, was.

37. Confucius' disciple Zilu was a man of courage and boldness. One day, while playing the zither at the Confucius household, the sound of the zither carried an aura of aggression, which violated Confucius' great taboo—the teaching of benevolence. Confucius naturally disliked it but found it awkward to express his disapproval directly. He expressed his discontent by saying, "Zilu's skill in playing the zither has reached the level of the hall, but he has not yet been able to enter the inner chamber. Why does he have to play the zither in my home? It's boring!" Upon hearing their teacher's dissatisfaction with Zilu, Confucius' other disciples immediately changed their views and attitude towards him, becoming increasingly disdainful of him.
