1. 一切有为法,如梦幻泡影。如露亦如电,应作如是观。

31. People with insufficient blessings often hear rumors and slander; those with sufficient blessings have never heard any rumors or slander.

32. 言若离相,言亦名解脱;默若着相,默即是系缚。

32. If speech is devoid of attachment to forms, it is also known as liberation; if silence is fixated on forms, it is considered as bondage.

33. 一切诸法皆如幻,本性自空那用除。若识心性非形象,湛然不动自真如。

33. All phenomena are like illusions; their inherent nature is inherently empty, so what is there to eliminate? If one recognizes the nature of the mind is not form, it remains serene and motionless, embodying the true nature.

34. 只有自己的心障碍自己,别的没有什么障碍。不相信不可思议的东西,就见不到宇宙人生的真相。

34. Only one's own heart obstructs oneself, nothing else obstructs. Not believing in the incredible, one cannot see the truth of the universe and life.

35. 活着的气度是昂首挺胸,独立寒冬,面对漫天大雪,而巍然不动的英雄豪情,是酷暑三伏,雷雨交加,坐于书房,面不改色,挥笔题书的那份悠然宁静。

35. The demeanor of a living person is to hold one's head high and chest out, standing independently in the harsh winter, facing the falling snow from the sky with a steadfast heroism. In the extreme heat of the Dog Days, amidst thunder and rain, sitting in the study room, one's face remains unchanged, calmly writing with a brush, exuding an elegant tranquility.

36. 人生有输有赢,得势顺境时不要得意忘形,放纵自己;失势逆境时不可消极颓唐,放弃自己。成功的人生,要自己定义;快乐的人生,要自己创造!

36. Life has its ups and downs, wins and losses. When in a prosperous period, do not become conceited and indulge in oneself; when in an adverse period, do not become pessimistic and despondent, nor abandon oneself. A successful life is one that you define for yourself; a happy life is one that you create for yourself!

37. 凡性是功,平等是德。念念无滞,常见本性其实妙用,名为功德。内心谦下是功,外行于礼是德;自性建立万法是功,心体离念是德;不离自性是功,应用无染是德;若修功德之人,心即不轻常行普敬,心常轻人,吾我不断即自无功;自性虚妄不实即自无德;为吾我自大,常轻一切故。念念无间是功,心行平直是德;自修性是功,自修身是德;功德须自性内见,不是布施供养之所求也。

37. All nature is merit, equality is virtue. Without any hindrance in each thought, seeing the true and wonderful power of one's nature is called merit and virtue. Humility in the heart is merit, adherence to propriety in external behavior is virtue; establishing all phenomena from the nature is merit, detachment from thoughts in the mind is virtue; not separating from the nature is merit, application without contamination is virtue; if one cultivates merit and virtue, the heart will not be light and always show general respect; if the heart is always light towards others, the ego is never stopped, then there is no merit; if the nature is false and not real, then there is no virtue; because of the ego's pride and constant lightness towards everything. Non-stop mindfulness is merit, straight-heartedness in behavior is virtue; cultivating one's nature is merit, cultivating one's body is virtue; merit and virtue must be seen from within the nature, not sought through almsgiving and offerings.

38. 生而为人,活着,活出风度,风采,风格。这些皆为外表,而气度则是内涵,是质地,是根本。

38. Being born as a human, to live, to live with elegance, style, and demeanor. These are all superficial appearances, while temperament is the essence, the texture, and the foundation.

39. 真为生死,发菩提心。以深信愿,持佛名号。

39. Take true life and death seriously, and cultivate the bodhicitta. With deep faith and determination, recite the Buddha's name.

40. 随缘不是得过且过,因循苟且,而是尽人事听天命。

40. Following one's destiny is not about just getting by or taking things easy, but rather about doing one's best and then leaving the rest to the heavens.

41. 若以色见我,以音声求我,是人行邪道,不能见如来。

41. If one seeks me through sight or through sound, such a person is walking on the wrong path and cannot see the Tathagata.

42. 诸法不相到,当处解脱。

42. All phenomena are not interdependent; at the point of realization, there is liberation.

43. 若不修内行,唯只外求,希望获福,无有是处。

43. If one does not cultivate one's inner self but only seeks externally, hoping to attain blessings, there is no place for that.

44. 起见生心,分别执著,便有情尘烦恼、扰攘,若以利根勇猛身心直下,修到一念不生之处,即是本来面目。

44. When one generates attachment and is fixated on differentiating, there arises the dust of emotions and烦恼, disturbances. If, with a strong and resolute mind and body, one practices to the point where no thought arises, that is the original face.

45. 佛法在日用处,吃茶吃饭处,语言相问处。

45. Buddhism is in the daily life, in the act of drinking tea and eating, in the places where people exchange words and ask questions.

46. 当念身中四大,各自有名,都无我者,我既都无,其如幻耳

46. When contemplating the four great elements within the body, each has its own name, yet none possess an 'I'. Since there is no 'I' in all of them, they are like illusions.

47. 七佛通诫偈诸恶莫作,众善奉行,自净其意,是诸佛教。

47. The Seven Buddhas' Universal Precept: Do not do evil, do good, purify your mind; this is the teaching of all the Buddhas.

48. 自恐多情损梵行,入山又怕别倾城,世间安得双全法,不负如来不负卿。

48. Afraid that excessive affection may harm my religious practice, I enter the mountains yet fear parting from the beloved city. How in the world can one find a method that fulfills both, not disappointing the Buddha and not forsaking you?

49. 世界上总有走不完的路,也有过不了的河,这是人生旅途中的真实存在。走不完的路适可而止,过不了的河及时掉头,也不失为一种智慧。

49. There are always endless roads in the world, and there are also rivers that cannot be crossed, which are real existences in the journey of life. Knowing when to stop on endless roads and to turn back in time when you cannot cross a river is also a form of wisdom.

50. 净律净心,心即是佛,除此心王,更无别佛,欲求成佛,莫染一物。

50. Purify the precepts and the mind; the mind itself is the Buddha. Apart from this King of the Mind, there is no other Buddha. If you wish to attain Buddhahood, do not let any thing pollute your mind.
