2. 释义：初四日 行十五里，到汤口。又走五里，到达汤寺，在汤池沐浴。手拄拐杖，遥望着朱砂庵攀登。十里，登上黄泥冈。刚才云雾笼罩的群峰渐渐地显露出来，也渐渐地落在我的拐杖下。转进石门，从天都峰侧面穿越而下，于是天都、莲花两座峰顶，都秀丽地突出在天空中。路边有一条岔路往东上，是我从前没走过的，于是往前顺岔路直上，几乎上到天都峰侧面。又往北上，在石缝中穿行。一片片石峰夹着路耸起，路在石峰之间弯来转去，阻塞的地方被凿开，陡峭的地方修出阶梯，断裂的地方搭木通过，悬空处安置梯子连接。往下俯瞰，壑谷峻峭、阴森，枫树和松树相互夹杂，五彩缤纷，像图画、锦绣一样灿烂；于是想到游黄山应是有生以来的奇览，却还有如此的奇异景致前次没有探寻过，这一次重游真是既痛快又惭愧啊！

2. Interpretation: On the fourth day, I walked 15 miles and arrived at Tangkou. After another 5 miles, I reached the Tang Temple, where I bathed in the hot spring pool. Holding a cane, I looked up at the Zhu Sha An (Cinnabar Ancestral Hall) from a distance. Ten miles later, I climbed to Huangni Gang. The peaks, shrouded in clouds and mist just now, gradually revealed themselves, and gradually fell beneath my cane. Turning into the Stone Gate, I crossed down from the side of Tian Du Peak. Thus, the summits of Tian Du and Lianhua Peaks stood out beautifully in the sky. There was a岔路 (forking path) leading eastward by the roadside, which was a path I had never taken before. So I followed the path straight up, almost reaching the side of Tian Du Peak. Then I headed north, navigating through the cracks in the rocks. Clusters of stone peaks rose up, and the path twisted and turned between them. Obstructed areas were chiseled open, steep places were made into stairs, broken areas were bridged with wood, and platforms with ladders were set up to connect the hollow places. Looking down, the ravines were steep and eerie, with maples and pines mixed together, colorful and resplendent like a painting or embroidery. Then I thought, to tour the Yellow Mountains must be a miraculous sight throughout one's life, yet there were still such extraordinary landscapes that I had not explored before. This time, revisiting was both exhilarating and ashamed!

3. 五岳归来不看山，黄山归来不看岳。

14. Translation: On the third day of the ninth month of the year Wuwu, after leaving the Langmei Temple on Baiyue Mountain, we arrived at Taoyuan Bridge. We descended the steep slope on the right side of the small bridge, which was the original path to Huangshan. The journey covered seventy miles, and we stayed overnight in Jiangcun.

15. “盘空千万仞，险若上丹梯。迥入天都里，回头鸟道低。他山青点点，远水白凄凄。欲下前峰瞑，若间宿锦鸡。”

23. 初四日 十五里，至汤口。五里，至汤寺，浴于汤池。扶杖望朱砂庵而登。十里，上黄泥冈。向时云里诸峰，渐渐透出，亦渐渐落吾杖底。转入石门①，越天都之胁而下，则天都、莲花二顶，俱秀出天半。路旁一岐东上，乃昔所未至者，遂前趋直上，几达天都侧。复北上，行石罅中。石峰片片夹起；路宛转石间，塞者凿之，陡者级之，断者架木通之，悬者植梯接之。下瞰峭壑阴森，枫松相间，五色纷披，灿若图绣。因念黄山当生平奇览，而有奇若此，前未一探，兹游快且愧矣！

23. On the fourth day, traveled 15 miles to Tangkou. After a 5-mile journey, arrived at Tang Temple and bathed in the hot spring pool. Supported by my walking stick, I looked up towards the Vermilion Mine hermitage and climbed. Ten miles up, I reached Huangni Gang. The peaks in the clouds from before slowly emerged, and gradually descended below my walking stick. Turning into the Stone Gate, I descended along the side of Tianju. Then Tianju and Lianhua peaks both stood out majestically halfway up the sky. A path on the side led eastward, a place I had never been before, so I walked straight ahead and climbed up almost to the side of Tianju. Then I went north again, walking through a crack in the stone. Individual stone peaks rose one after another; the path twisted and turned among the stones, blocking places were carved out, steep places were made into steps, broken places were bridged with wood, and hanging places were connected with ladders. Looking down from above, I saw the deep, dark ravines, where maples and pines were intermingled, the colors scattered, dazzling as in a painting or embroidery. Thinking of the amazing sights of Huangshan in my life, and having such a marvel as this, I hadn't explored it before. Now, this journey was both pleasant and ashamed!

24. 翠微峰前走，秀色处处有。

24. Walking in front of Cuiwei Peak, beauty is everywhere.

25. 戊午九月初三日 出白岳榔梅庵，至桃源桥。从小桥右下，陡甚，即旧向黄山路也。七十里，宿江村。

25. The 3rd day of the 9th month of the Wumu year: Departed from Baiyue Niangmei An and arrived at Taoyuan Bridge. From the right side of the small bridge downwards, it was very steep, which was the old route to Huangshan Road. After covering 70 miles, I stayed overnight in Jiangcun village.
