1. 法语之言,能无从乎?改之为贵。提手与之言,能无说乎?绎之为贵。说而不绎,从而不改,吾末如之何也已矣。

The first joy is that both parents are still alive and there are no misfortunes among the brothers; the second joy is that one can look up to the heavens without shame and look down on people without any awkwardness; the third joy is to acquire talents from all over the world and educate them.

34. When a bird is about to die, its cry is sad; when a person is about to die, his words are kind.
