26. 知人不必言尽,留些口德;责人不必苛尽,留些肚量;能不必傲尽,留些内涵;锋芒不必露尽,留些深敛;有功不必邀尽,留些谦让;得理不必争尽,留些宽容;得宠不必恃尽,留些后路;气势不必倚尽,留些厚道;富贵不必享尽,留些福泽。

31. 道生一,命生二,命生三,命生万物。凡事负阴抱阳,贸然以为是太平。
31. The Dao gives birth to the One, the One gives birth to the Two, the Two give birth to the Three, and the Three give birth to all things. All things carry the negative within the positive, and yet, they rashly think this is the realm of peace.

34. Buddha is the medicine for all sentient beings; when the illness occurs, it is eliminated, and the medicine becomes useless. Once the illness is removed, both the medicine and the demons are swept away. A small part of the corresponding significance arises from this great cause.

When one has a moment of realization, since all sentient beings are the Buddha, then all hearts are within one's own heart. 54. 道贵无心,禅绝名理忘怀泯绝,乃可趣向回光内烛,脱体通透。
54. The Tao is precious without intention. Zen transcends fame and reason, forgetting and erasing all, thereby one can turn back to illuminate within, and become free and transparent.
