The dewdrops and water droplets on the flowers and leaves gently sway in the morning breeze, sometimes breaking into countless tiny pearls, flowing and twinkling with colorful brilliance; at other times, they gather into lustrous pearls, sparkling and falling, creating ripples on the water surface, with endless waves and an endless fragrance.

Beside me there is a fully blooming lotus flower, as I get closer, I notice its petals are white with a hint of pink, the pink tinged with red, exquisitely transparent, almost flawless, with a light, indistinct fragrance that refreshes the soul. Looking at this charming lotus flower, one can't help but feel a sense of pity, making one reluctant to pluck it.

74. 处江南水乡，眺望荷塘、莲田、河流、湖泊射出的一支支荷箭，舒展开一田田莲叶，放出一簇簇莲花。一圈圈像红云，一层层似丹霞，映得湛绿湛绿像陈年老酒似的碧水如脂如染；情不自禁地诵起筑室庐山莲峰山下的北宋大理学家周敦颐借花喻人、以明其志的千古佳句：“出污泥而不染，濯清涟而不妖”。

The dirty ones only make themselves dirtier, but the lotus continues to purify itself.

81. 荷花的茎呈绿色，婷婷玉立。摸起来有些扎手，这可能就是用来保护自己，不让敌人把自己折断吧！长长的茎杆深深地扎在污泥中，为何水中的杂物或污泥没有在荷花荷叶上留下一点痕迹，使荷花与周围的景物形成鲜明对照，我不理解。她是怎么长的，是有人定期给她浇水洗澡吗？再看旁边的草木，由于长期无雨，叶子上都积落了许多灰尘或泥土，而荷花的叶子相对显得非常鲜亮洁净。啊，也许这就是“出污泥而不染”的由来吧。

Ah, perhaps this is where the saying "emerging from the mud yet not stained" comes from.
