68. 头镇博立乡九头岭村是一条小村庄，据村中老人陈伯称，该村系从吴川塘尾村搬迁而来，之前一直随塘尾村在正月十三做年例，祭祀活动是“拜老爷”。由于该村是个小村，为了壮大村子，早几年村里建起了石狗公庙，改敬石狗公，寄予人丁兴旺，发展壮大族群。石狗公庙建成于农历十二月初九，于是这一天就成了九头岭村的年例日。这个鲜活的案例说明，年例作为一种群体性习俗，会在不同的历史时期根据不同的条件演变，所谓“移风俗”或“移风易俗”，就是强调人与风俗的关系中人的能动作用，即摒弃那些妨害人们生活的陋俗，阐扬有利于人们心智的风俗，促进人类文明的进步发展。事实上，在数百年的传承中，湛江的年例也经历着改变，甚至一度中断。据了解，明、清时期，年例已记入粤西的地方志，民国初年至解放初期比较盛行，在随后的“文化大革命”中，受破“四旧”（旧思想、旧文化、旧风俗、旧习惯）影响，年例一度中断。上世纪80年代以来，随着改革开放和经济的飞速发展，粤西政通人和，国泰民安，于是汉族民间开始恢复年例习俗。但是，由于年例的游神、祭祀等活动带有强烈的宗教色彩，在很长时间里被有关部门看作是“搞封建迷信活动”而被禁止，甚至拆除庙宇建筑，收缴神像、锣鼓、旗牌、香炉等。例如，麻章旧县正月十五跳傩舞闹元宵时，曾被公安部门禁止。年例虽禁，却禁而不止，反而越禁越烈。许多地方通过改建“文化活动室”或“宗族祠堂”代替原名号掩饰而已；有些地方执法人员甚至在没收神像、锣鼓、旗牌、香炉等年例必需品时，甚至被当地村落全族人围攻袭击，终因“法不责众”不得不重新审视年例的性质。上世纪80年代中期,绝大部分地方恢复了年例活动，而且形式上除了传统的单纯游神祭祀，还扩大了宴请规模，增加了放映**、大型文艺艺演出和汉族民间艺术巡游等内容。

The Stone Dog Temple was completed on the 9th day of the 12th lunar month, so this day became the annual event day for Jiutouling Village. This vivid case illustrates that as a collective custom, the "annual event" evolves in different historical periods based on different conditions. The so-called "transformation of customs" or "change of customs" emphasizes the active role of people in the relationship between people and customs, that is, to abandon those bad customs that hinder people's lives, and promote customs that are beneficial to people's minds, thereby promoting the progress and development of human civilization. In fact, over the centuries, the "annual event" in Zhanjiang has also undergone changes, even once being interrupted. It is learned that during the Ming and Qing dynasties, the "annual event" was recorded in the local annals of Western Guangdong. From the early years of the Republic of China to the early years of liberation, it was quite popular. In the subsequent "Cultural Revolution," affected by the destruction of the "Four Olds" (old ideas, old culture, old customs, old habits), the "annual event" was once interrupted. Since the 1980s, with the reform and opening up and the rapid development of the economy, Western Guangdong is politically stable and people are living in peace, so the Han people have begun to restore the custom of the "annual event." However, because the activities of the "annual event," such as the parade of gods and sacrifices, have a strong religious flavor, for a long time, they were considered as "engaging in feudal superstition activities" by relevant departments and were banned, even with the temple buildings being demolished, gods' images, drums, flags, incense burners, etc. being seized. For example, when the old county of Mazhang celebrated the Lantern Festival by dancing Nuo Dance on the 15th day of the first lunar month, it was banned by the public security department. Although the "annual event" was banned, it could not be stopped, and instead became more intense. In many places, the original names were disguised by building "cultural activity centers" or "ancestral halls"; in some places, law enforcement officers were even attacked and besieged by the entire people of the local village when seizing the necessary items for the "annual event" such as gods' images, drums, flags, incense burners, etc., and eventually had to reconsider the nature of the "annual event" due to the principle of "no penalty for the majority." By the mid-1980s, most places had resumed the "annual event" activities, and in terms of form, in addition to the traditional simple parade of gods and sacrifices, the scale of banquets had expanded, and contents such as the screening of films, large-scale artistic performances, and the tour of Han folk arts were added.

69. 现代人文化生活的多元化，也促使“年例”这一古老而独特的汉族民间习俗推陈出新，渐渐融入时代的生活气息，增加彩车、飘色、粤剧、轻音乐、**、歌舞、杂技等文体活动，让“年例”成为老少咸宜的文化大餐。甚至有不少乡贤借“年例”返家之机，捐资修路、助学、敬老等。
